cute ha ugh i hate sending in tickets lol
sorry dear. I'm kinda meh about the link game. Yes it's updated but it's still hard to navigate. I don't mind having to use a guide once in awhile but I don't want to be glued to one to get around. Since I have the game on my ds I've decided to swap it for odessy if they'll let me. Normally you have 7 days and I'm on day six so it shouldn't be an issue.
Sorry you arent enjoying links awakening as much. I have done fine navigating for the most part, but yes have needed a guide for some parts- I always do with zelda games lol. Odessey is great, even tho takes a bit of getting used to compared to the mario games we are used to. Loads of fun for sure! :)

yeah, one of the other jobs I'd applied for, was going to pay me less than I was getting as a department manager, to be an assistant store manager (with a lot more responsibility) - needless to say I decided to not continue with my application once I knew what the wages were!
hehe that's a good point - I can imagine you need to have a lot of concentration in studying anything like that, just to keep your attention going for the whole lecture ;)
oooo that's a great HA today - what's the background(s) you've used? Well, once I (eventually) get as far as submitting Fudgy's overlay, that might answer your question seeing as he's a bar of fudge :P

Yeah it's not intuitive for me. It took me ages to know what to do with that raccoon. I don't mind needing a guide here and there but I need it all the time so rather annoying for me. I think with the other 3d marios I've played it shouldn't be too much of a learning curve.
thanks. er... its Good luck. He'll be a cute chocolate bar soon
That is fair enough. :) Its not fun having to look at guides constantly. It is a bit different from other 3d mario games. Not that it should stop you from playing. As I had a lot of fun with it.. Played it to the end. :D
Some employers get greedy like that.. with expection a lot but and not being willing to pay for it. Not realizing it might hurt them in the end, since some of the best people might not want to work for them due to the lower wages. ;)
Cataloging to begin with requires a lot of attention to details and concenctration. And knowledge. It was surprising how much there was to learn about it and other similar subjects. ;)

Oh i've had mario 64... mario ect.... lol Lots of them Glad you enjoyed :D <3
I was sure that was more than one background layered laughs shows how much attention I've been paying to those background :P :d I got my rear in gear and submitted his pic for a custom overlay :D
You can go straight into management in the supermarkets if you have a degree, but the shop floor roles (for retail in general) were minimum wage or only slightly higher.
I guess cataloguing is one of those things that you don't really think much about, but when you have to learn it, it's a lot more in depth than you'd ever imagine!

:nods: Shop floor retail doesnt pay that much here either, not sure how the pay is for management. ;)
That sums it up pretty nicely. lol We also had to learn a lot on indexing as well. I think that is the right english term anyways. :P
Ditto that. Loads of mario games here as well. 2d and 3d. xD

that's one reason why my last job was in admin - well away from any retail environment! :P
But is it the kind of thing that once you've learnt the indexing and cataloguing, you don't need to learn any more of that to be able to work in a library, or is there always more to learn?

no worries. Ooh yay!! keep reading.
mario rocks :D It's hard waiting 3 days before I can play this game. But today's been so busy that i would've gotten a chance anyway. I've done my bathroom top to bottom, completely washed out the cat box, washed my bathmatts and other laundry, went to pick up from one store, then put all away, then showered right as another store arrived, put that all away--been on the go since 9.30 this morning. I took an hour nap at 6.30 because I was so tired I couldn't keep my eyes open. Long, long day.
😮 whoa, that's a productive day! I'm not surprised you needed a nap after all that ;) Hopefully today is going to be a little less jam packed for you though ;)

:pats: it will be worth the wait I am sure. :) Sounds like a long and exhausting day for sure. I get tired just reading about it. lol I had doc appointment and a couple errands yesterday. Today mum visited. We went out to try and pick blackberries. So much blackberries growing around here its nuts! We went last week as well, and picked enough to make homemade jam. Well, my mum made it for us. Today there were hardly any to pick tho.. someone else must have beaten it to it.. Still a nice walk tho. :)
@ Paddy I know from experience you need the patience of a saint some days working in retail. :P For the most part I liked interacting with the customers tho. :)
There is a lot more to learn, about helping people find information and learning how to know what sources have trustworthy information (especially if you are searching online!), learning the computer system used, about literature and much more. :) I even had a lecture where we talked about Harry Potter. lol

(you typo'd in your post by the way) I actually had the most fun on the refunds desk out of every department in the store - that was the most variety in the day, and I could also tell some customers they weren't able to have a refund 😇
I hadn't thought about having to help them with online searches! You can tell I've not used my local library for way too many years :P ooo now a Harry Potter lecture is one I could pay attention to laughs

Thanks, I fixed the ping now. :D
Haha... I can imagine, especially if they were being rude about it. 👼 If people are nice you are more likely to actually want to help them out. :)
We learned a lot about google etc actually. :) :nods: discussing literature was my favorite lectures. I had such a hard time keeping a straight face when the teacher kept talking about Anne of Green Cables (instead of Gables). lol Was so funny to me.

I did have some really weird returns - like the woman who wanted to return a toilet brush because "it went brown after use" .... the most ridiculous thing was that after sending it to head office (as I didn't recognise it, so head office said to post it to them) it hadn't even come from the store I worked in - it was actually from a DIY store that wasn't even in that town! :P
But most of the time it was 'real' returns where people just changed their mind, or something didn't fit with their colour scheme at home.
laughs I can picture you really struggling to not laugh, and the teacher not having a clue why you seem to be pulling faces :P

Toilet brushes get nasty after you use them? Who would have thunk it. :P I think I would have wanted a pair of gloves for that return. lol I dont think any store here would take it. lol Some people just lack common sense.
I almost wanted to yell out Gables! Gables! :P

It seemed crazy that she'd even consider returning it. And it wasn't someone young either (as I thought if it was in their first house, maybe it was the first time they'd had to clean the loo) - she must have been at least in her 50s! She did come back and apologise after a couple of weeks - she'd spoken to her daughter on the phone (her daughter had bought it for her), said she'd returned it to the store, and her daughter told her she was being stupid because it didn't come from there in the first place 😇
hehe I'm surprised you were able to resist yelling that out! :P

That is even more baffling then. lol At least she apoligised tho, that was good of her. :) I love how her daughter told her she was acting stupid as well. 👼 You got a good story out of it too. 👼

hehe that was the best bit when she admitted what her daughter had told her! I honestly can't remember if she ever got the brush given back in the end (to take to wherever the daughter had bought it from) or not though :P
Trouble is, most people think it's too crazy to have ever happened! ;)

Today was “fun.” We moved a couple pieces of furniture. I received the groceries and put things away. I had to put lots of meat away which is tricky with not trying to touch it before washing hands from packages. It took ages and just when I was done with one thing had to do something else. Ugh.
PAddy what's the filter you have on the ha?
hehe nope it wasn't less :P
Pinkpanther I played today. ALready in LOVE :D it's a great game. sounds like a pretty good day minus the not finding berries.
