If I could've studied electronics at school, I would've probably ended up going to university as that sounded a lot more interesting than the courses we could take. But of course that wasn't an option :P That's very true, although I guess there's still going to be those who just stick rigidly to the textbook and don't make the subject fun for their class ;)

I never fitted in at school laughs so in the end I gave up trying - being such a small year group (there were 70 of us to start with, but by the end of the exams (age 16) I think we were down to 56 pupils in the year group) it wasn't easy to find someone to fit in with, but in the end there were a couple of kids I was able to hang out with.

laughs At least the ironing bit of sewing just tends to be ironing the seams so the lie flat - it's easier than ironing a shirt from scratch :P I avoid ironing the tablecloths as I can't work out how to ft it onto the ironing board without it dangling on the floor 😊

and those two extra slots should keep me going for a little while at least (until I can save up the sP for the next MC slot :P) :D I couldn't resist doing something a little different for my mask - if you can make them yourself, why end up with ones that look like everyone else has? 😇

Electronics sounds like it would be a good option for you. ^_^ It is always annoying when you cant get the course you want in the city you want to live. :P

:nods: Always gonna be some that are stuck in the old ways. :) At least the youngest kids gets to learn also through playing. :)

I didnt feel like I fitted in either, but at least like you I had a few friends that made things more tolerable. :)

That admittedly doesnt sound too bad if its just the seams. :) My tableclothes are mostly just smaller table runners.. so they arent too bad to iron. Boring, but much better than one of those larger ones. :)

I wish some of the other games had demos :D I hear you. I'm sleepy too.

very true. I'm debating on what to do with my loyalty box. I'm thinking partly having another pet slot makes the most sense. But then I think well if I use the 3 month gold account I don't have to worry about that for awhile...and then I think well with the new slot I could use it for an expensive colour but I don't even know what I want...

Very true and we're both beat your own drum tune kinda people I think.

Love today's bg and forground combo

nods If I remember rightly, for A-levels we only had the choice of: English Literature, German, Physics, Biology (what I was going to take, before the Physics teacher strongly encouraged me to take his class instead :P), Drama, Maths .... and possibly design technology (can't remember for certain). Other than that, it would've meant going to a 6th form college about 15 miles away, where there were probably 500+ students across two year groups (the entire school I was at, only had 350 pupils :P).

Table runners are a lot easier, especially if they're quite narrow! I did lend Mum a hand today, and ironed a few of her long sleeve shirts that were sitting in the ironing pile since last winter.... I hate ironing those though, as I struggle to get the creases to come out o.O 😊

How much longer have you got on your current gold account? Another slot to use for an expensive colour sounds like a good plan - how about adding to your blob army, maybe?

nods more so now I've been sewing my own clothes - then I really can have something unique ;) Although sometimes I lack the confidence to wear it outside! :P:P

Thanks :D And yours looks great - that bike could've been made for the beach :D

definitely go with the pet slot ;)

There's also the unreleased colours (blacklight, glade, harvest, hydrus, steamwork & sweetheart), but that's not many blobs left to get now! I've got less blobs than you have, seeing as I've still got arid, chibi, common, dusk, scribble and silver to go (but I do have 4 pets lined up for the unreleased colours) :P I can understand why you're skipping graveyard - I turned mine (thanks to ) into a chocolate bar instead 😇

Twlight too. I forgot about that but I'll fill that one soon. Kinda thinking doing the three brothers story with that.
I am hoping for more colours lol. Xd. The chocolate bar is so cute.

Quest wants to know how you could forget such an interesting colour as Twilight?! :P ooo that would make a neat story :D

hehe I'm still hoping for a fireworks .... er I mean blacklight blob for November 5th ;) but maybe it's about time we had a couple of brand new colours released 😇

I couldn't work with the gravestone, so it just seemed a perfect pose for chocolate ;) (unless that's just the way my weird brain works :P)

hands you a mug of hot chocolate .... although that might make you even sleepier :P

And speaking of Quest, I've got their profile background up now at long last (seeing all those new pet slots has spurred me into getting some work done on my existing pets ;))

Is there anything else the stone could be turned into with an overlay, that would make it work for you?

haha. I now have a dusk blob too. Renamed one of my existing pets, changed and then morphed. Sunset now the name :D lol So that just leaves 3. Chibi, common and graveyard. I have thought on those three with custom overlays. good luck :D

Not sure on the chibi or common but I've got an idea on the graveyard.

:nods: Demos are awesome. :) Gaming is interesting like that, you can spend 60 bucks only to dislike the game. xD

None of those subjects would be good for me, thats for sure. lol Our colleges tends to have a lot of courses that prepare you for a specific job, like nursing og teaching. :) And the universities you study different subjects, not leading to a specific job (with some exceptions). Now they started at least calling the colleges university colleges tho- not sure why. lol

I am sure she loved getting the help tho. :) even if they dont turn out perfect. I always tell myself I will get new creases anyways when I wear it. 👼

That's definitely a creative plan :d I wouldn't have thought of a mushroom, but that shape definitely lends itself to that :D

if I'd gone to the nearest college, they mostly did courses towards jobs (hairdressing, carpentry and things like that), but at the time, that was seen as a lower level course to doing A-levels, so I didn't really have a choice on that! ;) o.O that's weird, although one of our universities was a University College to start with, and is now just called a University :P

That's why I won't iron my t-shirts - they'll get creased in the wardrobe, let alone when they're being worn 😇

So I went to trade in my old switch today. I called and he said it was empty so I went in with gloves on and mask and did my trade in. I had the games I wanted on a piece of paper for him too. I was super excited because there was a promo going where you buy one new game for $29.99 or more and get a pre owned for 30% off. I got Luigi's mansion 3 and Super Mario Deluxe U new and then preowned I got Link's awakening. THe week before I swapped my copy of Smash Bros that came with the bundle for a used copy of Yoshi's world--the price difference gave me a $5 credit. So I asked if they had Harvest Moon given that I cannot find my copy ANYwhere. Luckily he did have it and with the remaining store credit and the 30% off I only owed $3. So used the card i had and got it. Still have $2 left. I'm pretty happy about this.

There was hand sanitiser in the front of the store. He washed the handles of the door as I was about to enter. He was wearing a mask and there's a shield in place at the counter so it was relatively safe. A kid did come in ( 20 year old?) and I asked him to step back as he was close but that was the last 2 minutes of my transaction. After I came home I removed the gloves, showered and washing my clothing now. I've got the games sitting on the table for 3 days before I can play since they weren't sealed. One was however so I can open the plastic, slide it on the counter and then wash my hands. But I can wait till Saturday as well.

yep that's the risk you take. Preowned is nice at times because if you are really unsure you can get the game and have a week to try it out.
(read above)

hehe there's a spirit mushroom in Legend of Korra that I think is too cute. It's kinda the thought about when I was thinking of it... that and the mushrooms in Alice in Wonderland. Hopefully it'll get approved for the official overlay (read above)

that sounds great on the trade-in and with the bonus offer on the new game and pre-owned as well! And that's always helpful when the store is following all the guidelines and has the screen & masks for their staff too :D

I've done the same with plastic wrapped online orders - I'll slide it from the plastic, wash my hands, then use the item straight off without needing it to sit for 3 days ;)

oooo that definitely looks awesome, and I can see the resemblance in the basic graveyard blob shape too, so I don't think something like that would be a problem for an official overlay :D

Thank you so much for all the pretty wearables! :D :hugs:

Not sure even the difference between university and college most of the time I guess. :) Its both higher education. I guess not all offer doctorate programs. The college (now university college) I went to only offered bachelor and master degrees I believe, while the uni had all!

Exactly, waste of time and effort surely. 👼

@ Raven Ohh, those were some great deals. :D Happy you got so many awesome games. :D I am pretty sure you will love links awakening. :nods: As well as Luigis mansion and mario! Endless hours of fun there. :D There are no places left that sells preowned games now in my city after game stop closed down this summer. :( So I am left with one option, selling them on online marketplaces. :P

over here, Universities offer degrees whereas colleges do degree-alternatives like BTEC - generally those BTEC ones are more career-based rather than being a subject you'd take at uni ;)

Not sure if you saw it since I just edited my post while you answered.. Thank you so much for the wearables. :hugs:

That makes sense. :) Granted there are a few career-based in univerities too I guess like medical doctor and the likes. :) Mostly its subjects tho,. :) Here you can choose some career based studies after 10th grade- like if you want to become an electrictian. Some school and then apprenticeship. For those that dont want to go the bachelors/masters degree route in college/uni. :)
