Whoa, that sounds like a nightmare of a day! I had a similar thing at the doctor's before - they'd logged me in at reception, I sat and waited for about 40 minutes, then went back to reception to ask.... apparently by the time they'd logged me in, I was officially "late" so the doctor had a go at me for not telling the receptionist I was late (surely the reception desk staff can work out if that person is late or not??). It feels like an eternity when you're waiting, especially when others (including those who arrive a long time after) get to go in before you!

I don't understand why companies can't keep to their delivery timescales - I can understand them being late, but I guess they feel that being early is a positive.... but it just makes it so much harder, especially when there's either a lot of other things needing doing at the same time, or when you aren't even in the house at the time!

How's your leg today? Hopefully you can have a slower day to let everything recover from all that yesterday! And that stinks on needing the cast on for longer than you thought :( I've got my toes crossed that they'll say you can have the cast taken off in two weeks though :D

That's not much difference then! Niamh insisted on every bunny - I think so far I've managed to get them all ;) nods I mean I personally wouldn't want groceries delivered at 10pm, but someone in our street does, going on when the van turns up! $5 is a good start ;) Hopefully they do actually read the message and reply!

it definitely sounds ideal! Is it quite flat there, or are there lots of hills to walk up? That's our only disadvantage of where we live - there's either an uphill start to a walk, or an uphill end to get back home :P

she's not quite quite so many pets as Niall does (thankfully! :P) ;) In a way, I'm pleased there's not been another Wizarding term, as then I don't need to keep track of her pets for roleplays in quite the same way! ;)

Wow, that sounds like a very tough day full of pain and a lot of things that got accomplished (though not in the right order or time/etc.). Oh man, two weeks of soft cast sounds not fun. Is it that way for both legs or no? I am really so so sorry for the bad news bits. :( -hugs tightly- I can only imagine what a terrible day that really turned out to be. And some bad news carries over for many many days, so I am really sorry for that too. :( :(

not yet LOL. There was supposed to be but there's been no word so I'm thinking they've given up on it. Yeah I'm really not happy. I feel like my foot's been shackled. It's a little less painful at the moment I think. the other leg is hurting a little from the stress of how much pain the other leg's been in. But otherwise it's strong i think.

Nope now it's back to a real cast. I get that for 2 weeks and the another week or two back in the soft cast. :( not happy.

That's a great outfit :D :D As long as Niall has 30 or more pets, then Niamh won't have quite so many :P 😇 My fabric order arrived today (super fast delivery, considering I only had the email to say it was dispatched yesterday!) - I've got some sorting out to do (each item comes in a bag, so I want to label the bags with the project I have in mind, so I don't forget!), but hopefully next week I can get some of those bags made at long last :D I've also ended up with a blog post project (like I did before, where I get sent the fabric and have to make something & blog about it), so I want to get those bags made before the fabric for that project arrives! 😊

Hopefully your other leg will relax a little now this one is back in a cast - I guess that you kind of walk differently when you've got your leg in the cast (and also in the soft cast), so I can imagine the other leg could be a little less comfortable.

that's very true! Dad's been tempted to get the bus back up the hill to save walking back from town a few times ;) in fact, there was a chap down the road from here, who used to go down to the river to walk his dog (there's a large enclosed field there, which is popular with dog walkers). He (and the dog) were usually so knackered after that, they would get the bus back to save having to walk up the hills 😇

I think I would be tempted to take the bus back home too, to be honest. ;) I always feel I am not quite fit enough for steep hills like that. It sounds scenic tho for sure. :D Must be nice walking by the river. :D

I do prefer the walks where we do the uphill part first laughs although most things are downhill to start with (the only thing I've done on the uphill walks, was go to the car show the last couple of years :P) ;) I prefer the canal to the river - it's not quite so busy, and it's a nicer walk ;) Although it would be better if the edge of the canal towpath had a little ridge just to make it feel safer when you need to move over to let someone walk / cycle past! ;)

Hope you can get them made xd I hope so. Yeah its different walking in casts and in soft cast. This cast feels different from my old one. Im having a hard time with walking.

maybe she might find some fossils ;) I lost track of who I'd said about the bags to in the end :P Mum wanted a couple of rip-stop bags for dad to store his allotment clothes in (they're in a basket at the moment, but she wants them a bit more contained), so I also got some extra to make a separate bag for his jeans (so the muddy legs aren't up against the top) ;) I also figured I should make Mum a couple of shopping bags (like carrier bags, but made from rip-stop) as they're waterproof(ish) and also washable so she'd be happier using them knowing she can clean them after a shopping trip ;)

While I was looking at the sale fabric, I also found some quilted neoprene (kind of squishy 'bouncy' fabric that I hope Mum would class as "wipeable" so it'd be easier to keep clean) that I thought might work for a small handbag style bag for Mum as well - she seemed quite keen on the look of that so I just need to figure out which pattern to use laughs

That's definitely a pain in the rear to have it feeling so different! Is there anything they can do to make it easier, considering they didn't let you have crutches or anything to give you some assistance?

I didn't want to fiddle with a new HA too much today, so I just added in a little extra item and changed the rainbow and bunny colours :P
