Yes, I was being cheap, but the rift was cheaper.

Okay, so it seems like for that achievement it has to be obtained by getting one of the new items from tossing in a similar item. Getting a rift-themed item from a random unrelated item doesn't seem to work.

Yeah, I'm thinking there's maybe some pool of items that has a chance to give you a random rift item, but it might give you a different result also.

I'm still not sure if all of the new items have some counterpart regular item that will result in getting them, or if it's only some of them. Like so far the blob kitty, coffee, and egg items. But people have tried plushies and beanbags without success in getting the rift versions, and the Rictus Teeth thing isn't working for that one rift item either...

I also wonder what would happen if you toss one of the new rift items back into the rift?

I had a similar thought. Maybe I'll try tomorrow with the eggs that I got.
