Normally ToT is a mix of old and new but I believe the percentages of getting new things tend to run higher and they only release like the year or two before it into the ToT mix.

I saw this in the official 10/1 announcement, which I could have interpreted it wrong as things are always changing here:

"Note: Don’t suggest bringing back older Morostide items. We have plans for older items that won’t be rereleased via Patch or ToT this year."

I've been well! I kinda disappeared from here for a while during the Pandemic. I was off work for 3 months and went back in June. I'm finding that nothing holds my attention very long :(

Yeah it's been a tough year for ALL industries... our work has had to reduce all our hours. We're used to working 8 hour shifts, but we've all been reduced to 6's now since we can only have so many people in the building at one time. Luckily my pay hasn't been /too/ affected.

I hope they go back to normal hours for you soon! That really stinks. We've been dealing with close to the same thing here too but trying our best. I dread the upcoming holidays to be honest.

I manage a spa.. so I can't work from home. Client appointments are all in person!

We're not really allowed to function normally until there's a widely distributed vaccine.. which is probably like a year away.

I understand. That definitely makes it tough as not only the business trying to stay afloat but also to help the public feel comfortable to returning back into that side of hospitality. I hope things get better for you all soon! So much talk of a vaccine..we'll see how it goes. I think you're right, it could take a year or possibly more..we'll see.

I'm also a little bummed about the holiday - but I bet there will still be players doing something fun to honor the holiday! Excited to see what people will come up with. Everyone here is so creative.

Definitely thinking of you right now <3 those industries (salons, spas, hospitality, travel) have all had such an impact this year. It makes me sad. But I know deep down they will all thrive again!

Oh man. I wonder what that means? No new patch items? I am okay with no plot even though I loved finding the cave guardian and the plot a few years ago as long as it doesn't mean that it'll be like subeta's birthday which was....nothing.

It would be fun to have plot at another time (Like lumi! I liked the fairy plot ages ago.) But I'll be super sad if there's....nothing at all like skins or hexes or items. AHH. I'm sorry they have a small crew but I understand and am sad with you!

I wasn't planning to do another event so soon, but maybe we can put our heads together and come up with a mini thing for this holiday too. Maybe we can organize spooky santas here or with the daisies group? You can let me know if you think that'd help or be fun?

I think they'll have all the favorites, just toned down. An example is the skins. They may leave those for this year. But Trick or Treating and the Pumpkin Patch will be around. I'm sure of it. I still have various food stuffs to collect. Maybe we can come up with something fun. Like a Morostride gift exchnage. If we get multiples of any item, we can check the groups' wishlists and send them out as an extra treat. Or have a bit of a role play in the forums. Just a couple of examples. I'm with you on the site helping to relax. It's very much an escape from just how insane the world is right now.

We shall see what they will come out with this year :) Just have to sadly wait in the meantime.

I love those ideas! Spooky Santas sounds awesome to me LOL I don't know how many people we have around here currently in chatterbox.. but we could try. Maybe it's best to do a combo of the two groups or we can take a vote and see what everyone in chatterbox wants to do. I know we are a much smaller group and I didn't want anyone to be overwhelmed. I just want something fun to mark this time of year.

Just have to think positive! How have you been filling your time?

I was fortunate and actually managed to snag a new job during this time. I had a job pre-pandemic... but it was IMPOSSIBLE to do from home with my baby. I had to quit to keep my sanity. But, I needed a job, so after 2 months, I found another one - Working from home permanently. Which has always been a dream of mine. And the hours are very flexible so it allows me to work when my babe naps or goes to bed for the night. Keeps me busy tho. I wake up at 6 and start working. 8 my daughter wakes up and I mom all day. She goes to bed at 7:30 and I work usually until 11 at night.

My husband however... is a tattoo artist. And as you can imagine, his industry also took a massive hit. He's just now starting to pick business up again after 7 months of nothing. It's still nothing what it was before tho.

Yeah I can only imagine what he's going through. Similar to us :(

I'm a graphic designer + video/web manager. Its always been something I've been able to do from home, but no business wanted to let me.

Finally found someone who saw I was a hard worker and could work from anywhere. Thank goodness! Because my work/life balance has increased 10 fold now.

My daughter was preemie - and I had MAJOR anxiety leaving her behind. So finding something that lets me be with her all day and still work a full-time role... counting my blessings there.

I'm both a manager and esthetician.. so my day is usually quite varied in what I do. In terms of esthetics.. my favourite service is probably waxing!

Eva and I are thinking about a "spooky santa" event. I run another group (daisy fairies) and I know at least some of them would love to be in if we don't have enough numbers or don't mind blending together for this event! We can totally keep it to just this group too if that's better. Does anyone want to do something like that?

Working from home is the best. I lost my job last October, and haven't been able to replace (thanks Pandemic!) but I'm so glad that industry exists that allows us to do this and be with our kiddos! <3

Oh man! :O I had no idea what you and your husband did. Sounds like cool jobs though! I am glad that you can work from home. It definitely sounds like it's a huge help with your little one.

I know it's been hard in all the career fields. My job has also let a lot of people go throughout the pandemic and I'm only nervously chewing my nails, waiting on the day they may let me know as well. I currently work from home and really love it.
