Thanks! I love our jobs. My husband has been a tattooist for about 8 years. When we were dating and first got serious - my only goal was to find a job that I could spend more time with him.

Corporate jobs and Tattooist have majorly different hours as you can probably imagine.

I'd be working 8-5 and he'd be going into work at noon and not getting home until 8 or 9.

His busiest day of the week has always been Saturdays and that means we hardly ever took vacations or really had a "weekend" together unless I took off work.

So this new job has really helped us with that too. We can actually travel (when the pandemic isn't stopping us) and have real weekends together on Sunday/Monday instead of a traditional weekend.

And I don't think I actually know what you do either??? I know a lot of businesses are talking about keeping work from home options even when allowed back at work. I hope you get to keep it!!

That's awesome! I hope you both keep things the same. I get how hard it can be just to have close to the same schedule as your partner. At one point, I used to work overnight and always missed out on events or seeing loved ones. I was also working overnight as I was in college.. big mistake but I survived lol.

I currently work for a mail order pharmacy as a certified pharmacy tech. I've been with them for 7 years now and have worked from home on and off for close to 5 years now in different departments internally. The department I work for had a large lay off of my fellow coworkers in March, April and June. There is more talks about "reorganization" and how they want more departments merged. Saying one thing and doing another type of thing. I love solving member issues but it gets really frustrating and depressing at times.

yes! smail or even FB chat me if I don't pop on later. Sometimes subeta gives me issues with messages on my phone but I'm around this weekend and let's get something going!

You'll love the daisies group, too. It's my "event" group, but they are some really amazing people as well.

I'm thinking we'd do secret santa style gifting (paired with another person--but with the daisies, we'd have a bit more options for pairing.) and Eva is thinking of random prizes for participants! I think it'll be awesome!!

I’ve heard how people react to pharmacies sometimes. Sounds like it’s a great job overall tho 💕

Any of you experienced moms with some advice for this newbie?? Baby girl is hitting a stage where she does not like to nap... but needs to. And I really count on nap time to get work around the House and for my job done! When she refuses I just fall so behind 😭 any tips ???

Remind me how old she is? :) There are stages of "nap regression" when developmental leaps happen. Sometimes sticking with it is the only thing. Making sure she gets lots of wiggle/exercise time and fresh air if possible before naptime, and having a really strong routine (rocking, bottle, storybook, song...whatever works for you guys.)

That said, my oldest did.not.nap. Since birth it was 15 min or 30 if I was super lucky. It's so hard! However, if she was a good napper, she may be just transitioning and in a week or two return to normal napping. Hoping for you!

She’s 9 months. Great tips! She tends to get tired in fresh air and I never even thought to maybe make that a routine before a nap. 🤯 I’m going to try that one!

If you want, Eva's started the spooky santa in my giveaway/event group! If you feel like temporarily joining the group so you can jump in, please do!! It's called Daisy Fairies.

Of course! Once a member, always a member (unless you leave the group on your own).

I'm sorry - I was super tired and in pain last night. I meant to individually ping everyone to the Spooky Santa event and I am super glad it was caught by Springjoy. I'm truly sorry everyone :( I hope you can join in (if you'd like). I just wanted to help run something for everyone to enjoy the rest of this spooky month.

Hope you all are well <3

Happy Morostide everyone!

How is everyone doing? Enjoying the event? Found anything that you really like out of the new items? Kinda lonely and quiet here so figured I'd check in.

What are you using to make yourself look like a skeleton?

Life is going good too! We are in the process of renovating the new home we purchased. We got a really good deal on it. But it needed some work. It had a lot of broken windows, water damage, tile damage, and a few holes in walls. Luckily, we are both pretty handy and knew we'd be able to fix it - but it's taking all our time and energy for sure!

We are about half way done I think - and we move in 3-4 weeks into it. So I'm finding myself on a time crunch to knock out some projects. It is going to be so beautiful when it is done!

Congratulations on the new home! :) Good luck with those projects. Being a homeowner means constant things to fix or improve lol We've owned our home for a little over a year now but there is always something to do.

Layered the following items in this order:

Oh so clever. I love it.

People keep telling me that there is always something to do with a home. AH! Still exciting tho. Did you have any major projects to do before you moved in ?

Sorry, not trying to scare you off. It's exciting and also pretty cool to own your own place in the end. We had to get a new roof and soffits, replace all the electric wiring (was out of code and really super old/unsafe), had to update the breaker box (also out of code/fire safety issue.. turns out was recalled in the 80's and never changed :o), and had to replace the flooring. I've repainted in most rooms but not done yet. The kitchen could use an update but that is wayyyy out of our budget right now. There is a lot of other things we need to get done but for right now, it works the best it can.

I probably should have just walked away and found a better, newer place but we stuck it out and got through it.

I think it's great to make things your own. I love your story tho. Make some know that we will get this accomplished and it will be worth it!

Replacing all the electrical seems like a HUGE pain. Props to you for being able to get that done and being ambitious enough to take it on - even if you Brought someone it to do it, still a huge task.

hugs It will all work out.

Yes! I forgot to include earlier, we had to fix the whole house's plumbing too. We had that old plumbing you see on those lawyer commercials about :( It was crazy, hectic and very stressful. From the whole mortgage, signing for the house, getting the house up to code.. ugh.

I will do what I can but when it comes to something big like Electrical or plumbing (unless it's an easy fix I can do), I don't play with it and have to hire someone. I don't want to make it worse lol. Youtube is amazing though <3
