It doesn't seem like it's a hint like "you need watch/hourglass items", but like... visit his shop 3 days in a row or something like that, so I guess we'll take some time to unlock him and more time to be sure how to...

Did my BQs ans after every battle I'd refresh the tab with his shop open... to see if maybe pestering him after every fight might tick him off. So far nothing.
As an autistic person with social anxiety, I'm going to be disappointed in myself if nothing I've tried is related to the eventual solution, lol. (If the solution does turn out to be about that part of his personality.)
I know the "panicked rage" feeling. I never even try to figure these things out, but I feel like I can put myself in Lukien's mindset, and the idea of what could trigger that for him is on the tip of my tongue - or, er, brain.
It's like Esmerelda's reaction to polyester: "Dragging her fingers over it made every hair stand on end. She couldn't work with this material. Even the smell made her gag." I know that feeling, and that's why I didn't see her as a snob for reacting that way. Because I also know what it's like for people to think you're just being overly sensitive or spoiled or picky... when it's not about that at all.
Anyway. Ideas relating to ... that general kind of thing:

Touching him
Touching/messing with/breaking his potions or other equipment, putting things out of order (broken glass item I know of: Broken Flask of Liquid Shadow)
Startling him, like sneaking up on him, or:
Loud or sudden noises. Party poppers, guns, fireworks, bombs
Bad noises. Chewing noises (especially gum), slurping noises, nails on a chalkboard, chalk on a chalkboard.
Maybe party stuff in general
Keeping him from wearing his hoodie (or robe, but, you know)
Stuff related to hair (messing it up, or pressuring him to cut it - that could include the noise of electric clippers or even scissors)
Bad smells or overwhelming smells like perfume
As I've seen others say, keeping him from moving around freely

He likes coffee. He might really hate the wrong kind (this can also kind of be an autistic/sensory thing for me). Like certain flavors (I think one of the things I tried was a pumpkin spice coffee) or types (iced, milky).
Or the expired coffee beans/feeding those to a pet. Or empty mugs. Or non-coffee drinks/energy sources - tea, soda, energy drinks, energy bars. Or things flavored like coffee that aren't coffee, like ice cream.
The stuff about him totally not singing to himself makes me think not just camera, but microphone or other sound-recording device. Honestly the idea of being recorded when I'm not aware of it definitely falls into "panicked rage" category for me.
The description of his trading card about being thankful... maybe the Gee Thanks bears? I'd say deleting/fragging thank-you items but IIRC someone said that it wouldn't be the same mechanic and we've already had those. Same issue with deleting/fragging coffee, chemistry books, potions, etc.
He's wearing black nail polish, maybe something nail polish related
Maybe he looks down on temporary tattoos
Overly happy or smile-based items, like smiling balloons, happy stories of joy book tape, whatever
Insulting items like the LOSER spray paint in the wardrobe, the "U smell funny" sticker

sticking a Lukien sticker to a friend, donating the Lukien sticker/trading card (donating it would be spreading attention to him)

I don't think that'd help a lot, maybe creating a thread somewhere to try hypothesis... Each person takes 1 or 2 tasks to do each day for some days in a row. It could be reloading any page related to Lukien, actually, not onlly Apoc Apothecary. It can even be playing some game everyday for 3~5 days... Amber seems to have kinda indicated I'm in the right way, but I don't guess I'm totally right about the shop xD
Oh, and I think it's between 3~5 days doing something/visiting a certain page because Amber herself said in the news comments we would take some time, but not an entire week...

Seems like we're probably supposed to bug him in his shop repeatedly for days on end. Maybe there's some additional component to it, but I think it's at least that, so it just hasn't been possible to unlock him yet because it takes time. Thus some of our attempts might not be failures, just not complete yet. (I guess I underestimated the amount of time it would take to annoy him at first.)
There really ought to be something to the camera/microphone/recording devices thing, too. Really seems to me that's what his fear is. But maybe I'm biased because I have that phobia lol.

also said in the news comments that it shouldn't take us a full week to get it, just that it takes a bit of time. So if it's any sort of multiple day thing, I would guess it's only like 2 or 3 days.
But it might not even be that, it could just be doing the same thing multiple times every few hours or so, until something works.
Could be; I just interpret this hint and the ones about time as meaning it has to take a few days...
Derpy question, but I'm not sure since I never paid too much attention to either this shop or the Magic Box or whatever: which potions are Lukien's personal creations and which ones did he take over from the other shop? Are the pet elixirs not his? Maybe it would make him mad if we wasted his time AND only bought the potions he didn't create...

On the bright side, whatever it is that it takes to unlock our guy, we won't have to do it again...
I'm visiting him and not buying anything, maybe that's the things that bothers him... also I'm refreshing over 100x each day just to be sure
I'mma keep a Sands of Time in my inventory, and see if that does anything. Item's description: "The sands of time never run out....and if they do, you won't be around to see it." Think there's some strange significance with that particular sentence.
