I looked around and couldn't find an answer to this; do old cash shop challenger items come back ever? There's all these fun looking weapons/scrolls that drop and I'm thinking it's much better to have the challenger than just buy the item I know some are achievement prizes though, no extra bear bombs :P

I think some cash shop challengers come out for Black Friday but not on sale. I think.

Yeah, all of the previous Cash Shop challengers come back during the Black Friday sale (except for the ones released during the current year, so 2018 challengers won't come back this year but they will next year). The items aren't on sale during the event though, so you still have to buy them for regular price. You can have a CSC stash ready to go, or you can double check user shops for the ones you want to get and see how the price of the item compares to the price of the CSC you would need to get it. You might find some cheaper that way.
