The lag should be clearing up now! spent a good chunk of time today diagnosing the issue, and I implemented and deployed a fix.
Keith also wrote up an explainer in our official discord server (offsite link) for the curious:
<p>When you load a page on Subeta, or do something like a quest, you&;re making a million actions that we log (so that UAs can easily look up later) like "user bought item, use turned in item, user got x SP", etc.
And we were connecting to our queue service with an individual connection for each of those (sometimes 20+ on a page!) instead of using the same connection. Easy mistake, easy fix 💪🏼
