You've earned the Gourmand achievement! final achievement for 7k woo! There's over 8k foods so I think they would add another tier for 8k. food is one of the only collections I really like doing, I don't care that much about beanbags and plushies. Just love pumping my pet full of food every holiday. :P I have a to put away more food at once.

wow I just starve all of them except for Meta because she's the reader and battler. She's a very drunk battler. Always sipping at the lounge. Always picking fights with fluffy serial killers like:

I got up to Mornrise Serpent. (S)He matches my HA's current color palette

Wow congrats!

And yeah, I could see them adding a couple more tiers to that one soon. Especially since we're kinda sorta close to having 9k food items on site, probably a few more holidays and we might hit that milestone sometime this year.

My pet is only at ~6400 foods eaten right now, but I have a few things put away for him to eat later. Maybe I'll look through Subetalodge eventually for some cheap things I haven't fed him yet.

Lol same, I pretty much just keep Carbonite in the resort because he's my battler. I only leave him out when I have a lot of new foods to give him, and my other two can just go hungry or find their own food. :P

I keep all my pets in the resort because they are all battle pets but still have several more items to feed to her. She already has the top gourmand achievement but whenever I come across a food she hasn't eaten I stash it in the vault. Now I'm trying to get all those down her throat in case they raise the tier again. Just don't like seeing all the others starving though. So that only keeps them from battle, right?

I'm pretty sure of that.

Feltip is Hunger: 0 /10 Happiness: 0 / 10 and nothing happened. The rest are all Hunger: 0 /10 Happiness: 10 / 10 for almost 2 years. Meta is 10 & 10

thank you! I ended up taking the time to go through subetalodge and wishlisted all foods that were holiday, special, retired, etc etc. It's very helpful for holidays when old food is re-released. Then at a glance I know if I need it or not. It's worth doing :D

I winded up laughing in real life, too funny! :P

That's a lot of sweet potatoes & onions. Just make sure they don't get moldy, otherwise can contaminate the others & stench is horrid.

How about sweet potato potage? Roast onions, add some broth (veggie or otherwise) add sweet potatoes in chunks. Pressure cooker works great since you need less broth, if you don't have then cook sweet potatoes prior. Use a hand blender or dump it into a blender and voila. Add salt pepper & if you like nutmeg Fancy it up with a dab of sour cream or cream cheese ;)

Mmm love spinach, made a spinach lasagna last night.

Squishy hug :) I've been on every day but mostly about 10 min max for over 1.5 months now :( I pinched a nerved in the right shoulder blade near the neck. Pain in neck/shoulder/upper arm. I can't write much (usually) or click much. I keep on aggravating it & get inflammation. I suspect the walking poles I use to get around (disabled) are causing the prob but for now, it's what I have. Some days are getting better... like today :) I had to lower the laptop so there's less stress/pain and won't be on super long but more than 10 min :)

Other than that... I've been super busy in RL. I'm continuing knitting with a woman's organization, I'm now taking a class Wed evening to be more "autonomous"... I already live in an apart but if I can get a few tricks that help, all the better. Plus, completing the class will drastically improve the chances I can get 1 out of 10 spots in a long-term residence they are building. It's subsidized so I'd only pay 25% of my small revenue instead of over 80% right now. The building is supposed to be finished by end of 2019 but I say at least mid-2020 because there are always delays.

I have 2 classes Thurs (geo & happiness). Then there's the flexible rendezvous and activities I do with a variety of organizations.

Yesterday I had my first real "guests" visit my apartment... made supper (spinach lasagna, asparagus in the oven, roasted bread that became "crouton" texture eh he he) It was nice to have two people to chat with and catch up. Apart still needs work to be fully functioning; however, it's nice to be at a point of having guests other than people coming trying to help with "issues" :)

This coming Fri I'm going to be interviewed for a documentary. I'll be blurred out so people won't see my face. Since it's less apparent I prefer to choose when, how and to whom I disclose to.

Also... big news I met someone interesting. I don't know where it will lead to, perhaps just friendship... but maybe more :) We are quite similar and understand each other on a level that no other has in my entire life. I feel like a magnet is drawing me closer when I'm near him. Don't know when I'll see him next but hopefully, we'll exchange info when we do so we could do activities outside the group :)

I have to get ready, I'm going to one of the two big markets in Montreal (Atwater) with a group. I know it already but it's rare I go and it's full of interesting finds... must be careful with temptations eh he he :P

Have a great day all

What?! How'd I miss that? you have that many onions sitting around!? :O Onion rings! Onion all the soup!

What said about potage sounds delish. I haven't made soup like that because we didn't get a masher or immersion blender. Thinner soups seem like water medleys when I dine out now. We do have an old wooden mortar and pestle so it's not as convenient as a stone one. It got put aside as a condiment packet holder. I hope things work out with this new guy of yours :).

Biggest challenge, for now, is actually seeing him again so we can exchange coordinates... but next month there's a high probability it'll happen :)

If you have a regular blender for slushies and the like you can put the ingredients in there. Fork can work to mash but it takes much longer. I recently bought a specialty potato masher with an ergonomic handle (requires less strength). Or, you can grate the veggie prior to cooking. There's always a way around when ya really want something :P

I got asparagus from the food bank... cleaned them up added oil, salt, pepper, grated cheese (old cheddar & parmesan) and then cooked in the oven. I added lime juice afterwards = oh yeah mmm mmm mmm!

With the ends that were rougher, I made a face mask combined with lime juice and oatmeal. Helps clear up skin quite well ;)

oh heavens no, I'm too lazy to clean the blender. It'll just sit there for hours and rust. I've been juicing but not making smoothies quite some time now. The juicer has more parts but the big blade is easier to clean. I don't have to worry about overheating the juicer either. :) Is it the kind that twists? There's something soothing about watching people destroy potatoes just like it is with shredding paper :P

Limes are so cheap compared to lemons I always have some in the bottom shelf. I use them for honey masks. :D

I... see... you! 😝

Oh my, your HA is inspired, really like that!
Congrats on your achievement too.

squeaks Yay for poem time! :)
Hope you are doing OK.

The tech battle is still ongoing And I think I'll keep on groaning Problems shared are problems halved - 'til a new laptop's on the cards!

Oh my, you have so much going on! It's great you can still get on here, even if your time is cut down.

And all this 'adulting' with having folks round? At any age, something to be proud of. ❤ Also, giant bread crouton for the win.

Ooh, documentary? Interesting! I was accidently in the background of some local news footage once, when they were interviewing some other people and I was wandering past with my shopping, but that's my only claim to fame! xD

And fingers crossed for you and the special relationship. Whatever happens, have fun.

Your ping didn't appear to ping the other day, so sorry for missing you out! Glad you are doing OK, we did some garden stuff this weekend just gone, there are so many weeds it's hard to know where to start.
And now the weather's back to usual UK grey and cloudy. Typical!

Rusty blender? If that the new flavouring for smoothies?
Not sure I fancy that one...

As you can likely tell, still working on getting on here - more machine crashes at the weekend - I have got some updates to run on the machine which may help with some of the issues, so that'll be tomorrow's job.

Still working down my events, I have some big thank you lists to compile and post for many lovely people.

Well, hope you are all having a good day/evening where you are!

It's not rusty yet. They're more prone to rusting because of the blade angles, that's how it is with all blender blades. I wouldn't let it sit in the sink with the rest of the dishes but I don't like cleaning up immediately which leads to worrying about potential rust/ build up. Why I don't use the blender to mash, chop, or shred. Drinks only :)

I want to try this when I get my hands on the ingredients

I've been busy for the last 4 days. I've got Subeta open on a few tabs (various pages), so I try to check at least once a day if I'm on the computer. I need to get a better routine put in place. One that includes going to bed at a decent time and me having some time to either workout or do some yoga (to help with my tight muscles and left hip that wants to be a bother). My routine will change again next month when I start working part time at a friend's diner.

Friday, my mom and I went to the local thrift store. There still in the process of finishing their add-on to the building. Most items there are priced pretty cheap (it also depends who the cashier is, most of them are retired ladies), but their prices have gone up over the years. I found a package of quilt blocks that you embroider (unopened), 2 dog blankets for $1 each, and about 5 books. Before we went to the thrift store, we stopped at the local antique mall. We both found some things. I got 5 old (1800s-early 1900's) postcards, 5 for $1, numerous quilt blocks from the 1930s, and a package of needles from WWII. Saturday, my mom and I went to another town an hour away, since it was raining. We went to the antique mall there. I forgot how big that place was, we spent about 4 hours in there. I walked out of there with some dishes, a flowerpot, a mouse that is a pincushion and the tail is a tape measure, salt and pepper shakers (they look like some my great-grandmother had), and a gallon size ziploc of sewing notions (included 5 needle books). We stopped at the three thrift stores in town, I found some more books (I have too many already but I can't leave a book behind that looks interesting), movies, and more craft/sewing supplies. The best find was a Brother sewing machine that looked brand new, priced for $60 (originally sold for $190). Sunday was a day to relax and get some things done around the house. In the afternoon I went to town to meet my best friend for some training at her diner that she owns. I'll be working there this summer, as well as working on the family farm. The kitchen sink also started leaking again, this time the gasket on one of the drains. Today, I helped my mom and dad check fence in 3 different pastures and piled up the tree limbs as they cut down trees growing in the fence. Then I had to drain my horse's water tank (and catch all the fish), so that I could clean the tank. I've got a sunburn from today, but if I'm lucky, it will be gone tomorrow, unless I'm working outside again tomorrow if it doesn't rain.

Nice find, the brother sewing machine we have was $300 during the '90s. It doesn't embroider, over-edge (had to look this one up), or do buttons. You're working hard to get a sunburn already :O It was just starting to get warm Saturday here and will be cloudy all week with rain half the rest of the week again.

No nutmeg or sour cream in this apt. We have been incorporating onion here and there, recent morning in acorn squash soup. Acorn squash is nice to store around the home, it lasts long like the onions too.

Something wrong with Subeta this morning? When I got on the computer it said I had to log in even though I hadn't logged out and then it refused to take my pass word. I ended up having to go through the change pass word process to get logged in. Grrr. Now I'm behind getting ready for work. Annoying. Wonder when vesnali will start. I hope I don't need too much in the shop because it's tiring collecting and handing out flowers and I think I still have some coins in my vault from last year.

that password thing happens to me sometimes I don't know what triggers it. I have my pw saved on multiple devices and haven't use the site on public wifi so I'm not worried once it's passed login. Looking back I should've paid attention to whether or not that happens after any updates to the browser or device

Meant to send a pic of these earlier but I got so full

SPOILER (click to toggle)

Tonight is so cold and there's this weird smell coming from outside. I can't tell what it is and trying to find out hurts because of the cold air. It smelled like birthday cake then cheap cologne then trash with a hint of diluted spice... the moldy cologne and sweetcake smell keeps coming back it's annoying. Hiding in the bed and listening to QI podcasts until I drift off.

Odd. I haven't made any updates to my computer recently and don't use public wi fi. It was just annoying because I had to hurry since I needed to leave for work. Guess if it happens again I'll give up trying to put in the right pw and just go through the reset process again. Anybody know when vesnali is going to start? Curious to see what new wearables they will release.
