Somebody posts and updates this every year for Morostide and I always check it as soon as it comes up. Just got a pet rat today and need a good name. She's only 6-7 weeks old so still a baby, white and light grey. Was trying to come up with a good Sci Fi or fantasy name. :D

I would love another kitten. But I passed Crazy Cat Lady 2 cats ago. Now just have to keep the new baby away from the predators. :)

"Congratulations! You've found: Trance" Argh, still only finding old minions. C'mon, where is that new guy?

Edit: "Unlocked Kracklen Finder! Find the newest special minion in the Pumpkin Patch! (Kracklen) Your pet disappears momentarily into the vegetation and reappears with an item! Congratulations! You've found: Kracklen" OMG finally. Been Patching constantly all week. Whew. :D Have pumpkins in trades for any Sharks who need more.

SPOILER (click to toggle) Once you close the house is yours, but I've read online there are certain circumstances where you can move in right away. Like if the sellers are still living in the house and haven't found a new home (read some horror stories on that one). Luckily, since the house has been empty for three months, we were able to move in right away, but I had no help over the weekend while Chris was at drill. I've had to uninstall the program for my printer and re-download it from the website to reinstall. Pain in the butt, but it started working again. Otherwise, I shut off my printer for a few minutes and turn it back on. My handwriting will also look terrible if I don't have a flat surface to write on. When we signed to close on the house, my signature started looking worse and worse, but I didn't have to sign very many of the documents since my name isn't on the loan. I'm just hoping that the floating desk holds up and doesn't come crashing down. The walls are painted in the office. I think we should do another coat, only because I can see some yellow coming through in spots if I get close to the wall. I love carpet if it is comfy to sit and lay on, but I hate vacuuming dirt and cat hair out of it. Haven't gotten the free paint yet, Chris's coworker ticked him off at work because he refused to help Chris out, so Chris didn't feel like waiting around after work for paint.
I yanked my bra and shirt away from me so the bug could fall out, then flicked it away from me. After that, I made sure no other bugs could land down there. I hate it when they disappear as soon as you look away. There's a comedian, Ricky Gervais, who talked about why he hates spiders in one of his stand-ups because they always look ready to attack with all their eyes and legs. I use multiple tissues or folded up paper towels if I don't have a shoe because I don't want to get bitten either. I'm kinda like Garfield in all the strips where he whacks spiders, using something with multiple layers. I always tell myself "after this video, I'm done and need to go do something else", then I find another video to watch....and another. I know one of the schools here didn't have a homecoming dance, so who knows if they'll have prom next year. Yeah. Whenever I find something that isn't price, I always say "oh, so it's free?", but I leave it on the shelf. We've got a fair amount of extra house stuff (blinds, light fixtures, the disgusting kitchen backsplash) that we want to take to the local Habitat for Humanity Restore, but they're are closed due to Covid, so I guess the stuff will just sit in the basement. It's terrible, almost like they think sports are the only important thing. What about the kids that don't do sports and are more interested in art or music, both of which have been threatened to not be offered at my old school multiple times. Common core math is terrible! I get that it introduces a different way to solve a problem for kids that have trouble with the traditional way, but there is no way that parents can easily help with math when that's the method that has to be used and shown for solving a problem. The original Switch is $300 and that's the one with the removable joy-cons (controllers) to play games with motion controls. The cheaper option is the Switch Lite, which is smaller and does not have removable joy-cons. It's $199 and comes in 4 different colors. I didn't buy a Switch until I had a decent list of games (15+) that I wanted for the system. I know there is a Lion King and Aladin game bundle for the Switch (it's on PS4 as well), that revamped the older games. I haven't gotten it yet, because I've never found a physical copy at Gamestop. Yeah, the trade-in values for games at Gamestop are pretty bad, even with a pro membership. But Gamestop has now introduced FlexPay, which seems like it may allow you to lease a console or game and pay a little at a time. I haven't looked into it too much. I haven't touched my tablet in months and I haven't turned on the PS4 in two weeks, but I play games on my phone almost every day. I just need to sit down and play other games. I agree. I still have my PS3 because I've got games that were never revamped for PS4. I want to be able to play my Dragon Age games on the new system. I think what I need to do is make a list of games that will be releasing for just PS5 so I can determine when or if it's worth getting the new system. Only my MIL came on the 16th to help move things into the house, which was fine. However, after going through boxes in the garage yesterday, I found numerous boxes labeled 'fragile' or 'do not stack anything on top' under stacks of heavier boxes. So the weekend they helped us move out of the old place, they didn't do a very good job of reading boxes. I've since found my phone and watch charger, still looking for two jars of handsoap though. o.O oh no, I'd be paranoid too. The one at the old house would have bugs fall out of it. And the ceiling fans would violently sway when they were on. I was concerned about the one in the bedroom falling down while we were sleeping. Yes, especially when it's something new! And I hate when I try something new and it ends up being gross. Though I did find some new favorite chips that last time I went grocery shopping. I'll get tired at 4 or 5 when it's too late for a nap, but by the time I go to bed at 9:30, I'm no longer that tired. I took a long nap today, so I might not sleep well tonight either.
SPOILER (click to toggle) Sorry for taking so long to respond. Just feeling bleh lately :( OMG I would be so ticked off if I went through all the hassle and paperwork of buying a house only to find out that the previous owner was still there!! That just seems so wrong! Sorry you didn't have a lot of help. Must have sucked! The thing was so old that I just got rid of it. Thankfully it was free from Emily's online school, so I hadn't paid anything for it. My handwriting is even worse then I thought! I tried to get a flu shot at Rite Aid and the lady handed me a form on a clipboard. I did my best to fill out the whole thing and I could barely read it. I felt bad about it until she told me I had to go see my doctor for the shot or the insurance would not pay for it. THANKS for telling me AFTER I filled out your stupid form and wasted 10 minutes of my day :( Oh but she was nice enough to shred the useless piece of paper I had already filled out. Gee thanks! fingers crossed It holds up for you! Yeah I would deff do another coat of paint. Better to do it now rather then wait and have to redo it later on. I love carpet, but it can be a pain to keep clean. I guess it just comes down to what you hate more. Vacuuming and sweeping/mopping can both be a pain for one reason or another. I hate when coworkers are a pain, Ok that is very offensive lmao! It looks like it survived a fire, but shouldn't have! (wow it took me a lot longer then I thought it would to get back to this, Sorry. Been so distracted lately) It feels like the spiders are out in full force now that the weather is getting colder. Well they are not hiding in my apartment dangitt! Come in here and you get the shoe! Well actually a giant wad of toilet paper and the big old flush! He is so right. They always look like they are out to get you 0_0 Me too. I am so easily distracted lol. It is a shame what kids are missing out on this year. I am sure our middle school didn't do their yearly trips to Washington DC and Mexico :( those trips have been a tradition since before even I was in school. The trip to Mexico was only for Spanish club, but it was a great experience for those that got to go. I bet a lot of places aren't taking donations right now. We can barely return bottles to the store! No one wants to touch any of our stuff lol. I don't know what our schools offer these days. To me art and music are way more important then sports.Yes it is great for kids to get out there and participate and be active, but that is also what gym class is for! That new math is just too time consuming as far as I am concerned. No reason for them to make it that complicated just to get to the same answer, and most of that math will never be used by them again in their lives. They have all kinds of tech now to do all the math for them! I am sure Emily will want the expensive one of course lol. I rented the Lion King/Aladdin game because I had played the original. I thought they had changed it, but man it looked so old and controlling them was a total pain in the rear. I gave up pretty quick. I loved playing them back in the day because I had nothing to compare them to, but now they just looked bad and the gameplay was worse. I might have to check it out. I have to make sure it is actually a good deal and not one of those where you have to pay like every week or every two weeks. I need a monthly plan. I think we have a PS3, but of course Emily wants a PS2 also. She wants to have all of them for some odd reason. it is nice that she showed up at least. Sounds like no one took the time to read anything :( I hope nothing was broken! OMG if one bug fell out that thing I would be doing my business at the gas station down the road!!! Even if it is disgusting! Nothing worse then wasting money on something that looks so freakin good, but ends up tasting oh so bad. My sleep is way off these days. I think it is the weather. Messing with my sinuses and stuf.

SPOILER (click to toggle) No worries. hugs I had my computer set up in a temp location but I wasn't getting on much because it hurt my neck to look up at the screen. I've got it set up on a desk now, so I should hopefully be on a bit more often. Oh, I would be upset too if the house wasn't empty. I was already upset with the seller's son the day before closing because he claimed he wouldn't sign any documents (he and his sister have POA) if we didn't pay him back the $50 he spent to replace the GFI outlets that were required to be changed by the appraiser. I was totally ready to be petty in return if he made a fuss the day we closed. Yeah, it sucked that I didn't have the help like I thought I would. I'm pretty much the only one bringing things in from the garage to unpack, so that got really old fast. There's still quite a bit in the garage to unpack but I lose motivation to deal with it every time I'm asked if the garage is empty yet. My parents gave me the printer I currently have because they never had anywhere to set it up in their office. Then their backup printer bit the dust and they bought the same one that they gave me. Oh my gosh! I would be so upset! She couldn't have asked some questions first to save you the time? We have six brackets bolted into studs for the desk (it kinda forms an L). That should be enough because each bracket advertises to hold 500 pounds. We ended up not putting another coat of paint on because Chris didn't want to spend more time painting, but I have some areas I need to touch up with a really fine brush because the painters tape decided to take too much. I don't mind vacuuming, I tend to vacuum more often than I sweep and mop, but I hate having to clean stains out of the carpet. The backsplash is gross looking. Every time I look at it I want to start scrubbing it, but I know it won't do any good. No worries, things have been kinda hectic here in the past week. We had to replace the water heater Thursday because hard water caused the old one to start leaking. Yay.....also got a water softener/refiner installed and a reverse osmosis system installed. The downside of the week, my pickup dinged low oil pressure twice Sunday morning. I put in a quart and a half the first time it dinged and just parked it after the second time to let it cool down. The oil is full (actually filled a little over), so the oil sensor filter is either clogged again or something else is wrong. I haven't found any spiders inside yet, but I did find a big dead one in the garage yesterday. My brother-in-law works for a pest control company, so he sprayed the house before we moved in. Man, there are some weird looking dead bugs in the basement...not sure if they're centipedes or what. It's spooky when you find spiders at night with a flashlight and their eyes reflect the light o.O I either get distracted, lose motivation, or want a nap. The couch is so dang comfy, makes it hard to get anything done around the house. And I imagine sports and extracurriculars can't be as fun as they used to be when you have to make sure you wear a mask or stay 6 feet away. Ooh, the Spanish club trip sounds better than the trip we took for Spanish class...we just went to a Mexican restaurant in the next town and had to order in Spanish (with zero prep) and a teacher hovering over everyone shouting if they did it wrong or spoke in English. The thrift stores here are taking donations, but I think they've gotten a bit picker on just what they'll take. I really wish the Re-Home store was open so we could donate light fixtures and stuff because I don't think we'll have much luck if we try to sell them ourselves and I don't want to trash them. I played volleyball in junior high and high school but quit when it became very obvious that it was a popularity contest (there were some other reasons I quit as well, that helped the head coach get fired), same with basketball in junior high. The only time I enjoyed being involved with sports was when I was the manager of the high school boys basketball team. At my high school, you could pretty much take either art or music, the class scheduling didn't allow you to do both, so I ended up going with art even though I was really good at playing the alto clarinet. I agree that the new math is way too complicated. I saw a post on Facebook about students getting homework marked wrong if they didn't show the common core way to solve a problem and that just blows my mind. They got the correct answer but used a different method. I think teachers used to say that you wouldn't have a calculator on you all the time, but most phones now have a calculator. The only time I take the joy-cons off is when I play Ring Fit Adventure or Let's Go Pikachu, so if I hadn't bought a Switch yet, I would have gone with the Switch Lite. The joy-con controllers can be connected to the Switch Lite so it isn't like motion sensor games are off-limits on that system. I played the Lion King game on a Sega Game Gear and I remember the graphics looking pretty good on that system. I need to watch some videos of the gameplay on Youtube though to make sure I do want the game. I just looked into Gamestop's Flexpay and it is a bi-weekly payment system, but there is also a rent to own option but you have to apply for it. I used to want to collect all the older systems but now I'm just really picky and don't have space. I have the older systems that I grew up playing and I think Chris wants to get one of the older Nintendo consoles that he grew up with. I don't understand the people that collect systems and have 3+ of each system and just about every game ever released. So far, I've only checked one fragile box that was stacked under things and everything was fine in the box. Hopefully, that will be the same for the other boxes. It's just very disappointing that no one took the time to read. For a while, I didn't know where the bugs in the bathroom were coming from until I saw one fall from the vent. They weren't dead bugs either but they didn't live for long once they hit the floor. It's always disappointing. The last time I went grocery shopping with my mom she got some chocolate and caramel rice krispie treats. Those things were so small and way too sweet. What's even worse is spending money on something you know you like and something ends up being wrong with it. I bought a 24 pack of Mountain Dew months ago and it took me a long time to figure out that they were flat. I ended up tossing the last 5 cans. Sinus issues are no fun and they're so painful. 😢 I haven't been sleeping through the night very well either, but we did just let our three cats have the run of the house a couple of days ago. They are slowly figuring out that when we go to bed it's time for them to go to bed too, but they still occasionally pounce on us.

Good Morning Sharkies! I hope everyone had a good Morostide. I had a very frustrating time, while I did manage to find Snowflaik twice, I found no other Jaxson minions. I did find a lot of stuff that I wanted/needed though. I am looking forward to Fireside and Luminiere. I have some ideas brewing for the holiday too.

SPOILER (click to toggle) Mild US political plug (no mentions of either side) It's going to be a very tense day here in the US, I hope everyone stays safe and for those that can and have not already, get out and vote!

SPOILER (click to toggle) Oh I know what you mean. I deff have to be comfortable when I am on the comp! Wow that guy sounds like a real piece of work! Talk about petty :( Packing/unpacking gets old super fast. It took me forever to finally get all of our boxes unpacked when we moved in here. Kinda like the Incredibles when she finally unpacks the last box like 4 years after they moved in to the house lmao! I am the same way. Once something feels like a massive chore I get overwhelmed and end up taking longer to get stuff done. I can't help it. It is like my brain just starts inventing reasons why I should put stuff off and it sounds reasonable in the moment. Now that Emily is out of school I don't really have that much of a use for a printer, but it would be nice to have one for little things like grocery lists/recipes. Oh she was a jerk right from the start! I went in to ask about my blood pressure pills because they were totally diff from the ones I had been taking. I thought maybe they goofed up. She looked at something and told me that it was from Feb. and had the nerve to look at me and say "This is October" like I was a moron. I told her that the refill was brand new and I had just gotten a few days before. So rude! She had all my insurance info before she gave me the paperwork. So annoying!! I always get nervous about stuff like that. I would be afraid to touch it lol. I am more willing to vacuum then sweep/mop. Yeah it does look pretty bad. It makes you wonder why anyone would put that in on purpose! You had to replace something like that already and the guy had the nerve to whine about $50? Crazy! Hopefully your truck is a cheap fix if something is wrong with it :( I had to get rid of 3 yesterday. Driving me nuts. I would love a nice comfy couch. We deff need a new one! I was really hoping life would be more back to normal then what it is. Feels like it will never be that way again. Oh geeze! That sounds awful. Well I guess it is better then going to Taco Bell :P Probably not a whole lot of people buying stuff like that right now. i tried out for the volleyball and I was half way decent, but I was always such a nervous kid :( I just couldn't go through with it. Kids have super easy access to all kinds of tech now. Kinda crazy that they willingly try to make everything so complicated. I am not sure what I will be able to get her for Christmas this year. She just likes too many things. I wasn't a fan of the way it looked on the PS4. I had such high hopes for the game! I had happy memories of playing it years ago, but now it just annoyed me lol. Bi-weekly payments stink. I need them spread out more then that. I just don't want to spend the money on older systems that she probably wont even use. She claims she will, but then I am the one that would have to switch them all around whenever she feels like playing a diff one. Not wanting to do that at all. If I had big lottery money to toss around I might do that for a hobby, but I don't so I can't lol. Oh that is a relief. Nothing worse then packing everything up so carefully just find out something was broken because someone else was careless. They were in too big of a hurry to get done and get out. I hate when people are like that. Don't volunteer to help if you are only going to do it half way. Ewww that is so gross :( I bought a bag of chips that I really wanted to try, and usually I check the bag carefully by squeezing it to make sure it was sealed. Of course this time I did not do that and when I got home found a hole in the bottom of the bag. I knew they were going to be super stale! The changing weather is just crazy here right now. It was freezing yesterday and warm today. That is not helping at all. Awe kitty pounces are so cute :D

Hope everyone is still doing well after Morostide! Looking forward to Fireside now in a couple weeks or so :)

Also, I'm still giving away Morostide extras, if anyone needs - https://subeta.net/user_shops.php/shop/41242

If no one wants it by the end of this week, I might just dump the rest in the Donation Center or something.

Lol- gotta love it when we’re able to track the day of the week according to our favourite shows! :P

I ended up ToT’ing like a fiend in the evenings when I wasn’t working! And I hear ya! Everything is so messed up this year! O_o COVID has changed how we do every little thing!

Hey! How are you doing? Did you have a good Morostide?

And the funny thing about napping.... we were talking about it at work a few weeks ago and I was saying I’m a terrible napper. It usually wrecks me for the rest of the day! I’m groggy and tired... it’s just not a benefit for me unless I’m sick or really overtired. Then we had a bad windstorm one night last week and I barely slept then went to work exhausted. When I got home I sat down on the sofa ‘for a minute’ and when I opened my eyes it was pitch black in the house. Talk about disorienting! I slept for over 3 hours! And then, of course, was awake half the night again! Lol- just can’t win!

I’m thinking I’m going to have to start watching again from the start once these two episodes are done.... :(
