Congratulations on finding that empty pet slot. Maybe you were just too busy to fill the one we were awarded most recently (was that the Quest-A-Thon or has there been another one since then?). In any case, hope you have lots of fun choosing and creating your newest pet.

It's not unusual for everything to get just a little harder sometimes, especially when we're tired and/or have used up our supply of social interaction for now. Sometimes it's just nice to relax and be alone. And the Shark Tank is always here whenever you feel like dropping in for a swim. :-)

As already said, don't worry too much about those hard to get books. You might have to wait a bit, but when they make them part of the requirements for an achievement, you can be sure there are plans to release them somehow.

By the way, I love your HA. It's totally adorable!

Yeah, I think I saw the book was an old prize from some previous Luminaire event, and then they brought it back by adding it as the achievement prize for the snowball throwing when they added more tiers.

And thanks, it may take a while but yeah I'm already halfway there so not too bad. And I already have enough snowballs, just gotta throw them all eventually. :P

Yeah, I don't remember that event very much either. I think I was around for it, but from what I do recall or have seen about it, it was mostly battling stuff and my pet wasn't really trained back then (2012 was the first year I really started participating in everything on here). So yeah, I may have gotten the consolation prize or something, but not much else.

At least they're pretty good about bringing back old things eventually though ~

- I was here, I've been on Subeta a long time now, but don't remember whether I was active and I certainly wasn't battling back then. Sometimes I wish I had started to be active sooner and I often wish I had started battling way back. Oh well. It's all just pixels and I have come to the conclusion that they can release new ones faster than I can keep up anyway, so I just enjoy what I do have and the process of making progress a little at a time. Focusing on all the great people here and just having fun.

Hmmm - looks like the 2012 event wasn't about battling, it was about helping the sick fairies (don't remember why they were sick) and if you're into nostalgia, you can check out what prizes you got from taking part HERE. Guess I just didn't cure enough fairies to get The Perils of Being a Gingerbread Man. LOL

Checked some more and there were battle challengers too. Scavenger, Scary Singer, Susie, Two-Headed Dysfunctional Teddy Bear (and maybe others as well).

I think there was some battling involved though, wasn't that when the Unstable Snow Fairy or whatever was released? Maybe I'm remembering a different event too or something, because I thought there was also a Luminaire event with the toys that were battle opponents. I don't remember when that was though.

[edit]Actually the text on that prize page mentions the fairies and Vanya's workshop, so I think they were part of the same event. Either way, I didn't participate very much, I only had 36 points lol.

- yes, there was also battling you're right, 's guide for the Unstable Snow Fairy lists her as the villiain of that plot (so maybe she was the reason behind the sick fairies) and I added some of the others to my post above - looks like they were indeed toys. And yes, Vanya was also involved somehow - something about the fairies losing their magic and the loose magic breaking the Luminaire toys (I'm only getting parts when I Google so I'm not completely sure how it all went together). I do see that apparently I did at least try to battle:

Ooh yeah, if it was a restocking and battling event then that would totally explain my lack of participation, especially since it was back in my early days on the site. Even now I'm not really a fan of restocking, but I remember when they used to do those restocking war things more often and I never really did a whole lot in those.

Welcome Hun! Yeah it is a lot, and that is just from 2 shops. I don't have every item in my inventory, but I keep a few staples that I am sure they will ask for. If you see them asking for a certain item, just buy an extra one for next time :)

I have no idea when I got this new slot, I thought for sure I had used them all. Now I need to find a new SW pet :D

- for what it's worth, I was never any good at restocking wars - too much intense competition for items. But I've done really well at general restocking to find things to sell in my shop. I usually earn at least as much that way as by questing, although there are times when I don't bother and my shop pretty much empties out. It helps a lot to start with just one or two shops and really get to know what is good to buy and sell there Then you can add other shops if you want. It's a whole lot easier than trying to get good stuff during an event because there are so many more potentially good things to choose.

Big congratulations on getting a Deluxe Death Shard at Blackheart Hollow. I really love mine. It's my default freezer. I prefer it to the helmet because it has an attack. And sometimes the 40 icon dark block is also helpful. I know the helmet gives you 2 rounds of freeze protection, but even with General Error, since we're usually both frozen for 1 of those rounds, personally, I don't find it to be that helpful. Also DDS is a T6 weapon, so nice for smaller battle pets that can't use the helmet or Scientist Specs. You might have fun giving it a try. :-)

- you're having a good day - an unused pet slot and extra snowball progress - yay! So nice when the surprises turn out to be all good things. :-)

I'm surprised I finally got something again from the place, it's only like my 6th or 7th time.

And I'll probably just end up selling it, since I do already have the helmet but also the Scientist Specs that do some attack and block different icons. The extra dark block is only marginally helpful for me since I have the ME which blocks 100 dark anyway. And I only really have the one battle pet anyway, so usefulness for smaller pets doesn't really matter to me either. :P

- yes, once you have both the Scientist Specs (which I don't have) and the helmet and no interest in smaller battle pets, then selling it is probably a good idea. :-)

If you visit BHH regularly then you will find stuff there - sometimes even often. I know it works because I used to think there was never anything there and now I've found 99 things there according to the achievement counter. Now, if I could just find my Pbow since Tos has made it to T10. LOL

Yeah, I'm sure it's useful for smaller pets and stuff, but I just don't really feel like I need it right now after comparing stats. Still not complaining about finding one though. :)

And I haven't been visiting a whole lot before, I would try to make myself do it but I just always forgot. Since they released that new background there a few days ago though, I've been trying to visit more often and hopefully catch that item and then whatever else I happen across. I actually saw something else in there a couple days ago, one of the trading cards, but I hesitated and missed it. It's an item I already had anyway, so I probably would have just sold that too if I was quicker.

So there are new achievements. I hate the ones that take items from expensive places like the millionaire and token shop. Will probably never get the winter books achievement since that will take many millions. And need to try to borrow some of the wearable items so put them on my WL.

I've had to take migraine meds & I'm dealing with severe fatigue. I'm stable but can't be on too long or look at the screen (right now typing with eyes closed).

Item Drive is a contest against other users. Top 10 win sp & top 3 prize. It's strategy... items often are worth 70k but sometimes in the millions. When it's a big prize then it can get fierce. I'll try to write more but can't for now.

Yes, it can be such a shock to see something that it can sometimes be hard to buy. But don't worry. I very rarely miss anything I see and when I do it's usually only when there is a lot of site lag or some such. It's actually not as tough as I was worried about at first. Much easier than restocking during a restocking war, or trying to get one of those special items from a shop during an event. So you'll likely get what you see - especially now that you will be at least sort of expecting to have something show up, so you'll be ready when it does. :-) And don't get discouraged. Sometimes there's such a long wait in between finding things that I think The Gate Keeper has stopped talking to me, but just when I really think nothing will ever be there again - something appears. So keep up those visits and enjoy your finds!

Yeah I'm trying to visit a couple times an hour now, when I can. I don't really know how frequently we're allowed until he kicks us out, but what I'm doing seems to be working okay. Eventually I'll see more stuff. :P

And hmm, a Pbow would probably be nice for me too, I could use the fire defense. Hopefully we can both get lucky (although I know they're pretty rare).
