Thank you! , , and too: I wanted to let you know I am not ignoring you (mail/comments, on the RP, or in the grydffindor house). I've been struggling really badly with my health the past two weeks and have just been totally incapacitated with pain/lethargy + extended family (visiting from out of town for a week)-derived-stress/drama. Today I went to the cardiologist and they still have no idea why my heart rate is so low, between 42-47 bpm (the nurse said they like it around 60bpm, with 50 being the standard cut off for the beginning of Bradycardia). Which also means they still don't know how to help with the chest pain or what is causing it to flare up randomly. We'll see what the blood test reveal, hopefully nothing bad.

at least it's not just me - I'll have to check back on my ping history to see if I've missed anything ;) We've not got it anywhere near as hot as you have, but it's hit 30C here (86F) which is hot enough (and gone on for long enough) to be classed as a heatwave :P

My mom said she remembered how humid it was here compared to England the first time she arrived here. However, that was in the 1970s, and I don't think she has been back since the early 90s. =X It may have changed since then, with all the wacky weather we have been having. It does get quite humid here - they're forecasting thunderstorms today, but it looks like they're all to the south of us, so I think it'll be hot, dry & sticky today. Having said that though, the humidity reading in the garden this week went down to 25% o.O

Since I have been on vacation for a few days, I have really only posted to claim cw slots and reply to pings. Maybe I am safe? Of course, the raffle one was out of the blue! That makes sense to me since the UK is surrounded by water. I hope the heat isn't too oppressive for you today! I just checked the forecast for where I live and the high today is 98F (36.6C)! That's almost 10 degrees higher than where we are staying, and Delaware is South of where we live. x.x It doesn't make much sense to me! Although, sometimes it is cooler closer to the ocean. Also, the humidity index at home is 89% today. I have lots to look forward to when we make our way home later, haha. =X

I haven't noticed any obviously missing pings until the last couple of days, but it's the kind of thing that if you don't know you needed to pay attention, you might have missed some before that without realising ;)

😮 Whoa, now that is hot! I think I'd melt in that kind of heat, to be honest 😊 But yeah, if you get a nice cooling sea breeze it should lower the temperature, but I'd still expect the south to be hotter than anything further north! :P

I don't care for it that hot, myself. xD I am more comfortable between 70-85F. I would, too! Although, the deep south is definitely hotter. I have been to Georgia in late June, and they were getting temps upwards of 100F most of the time. The humidity was also 100%. x.x I had to drink lots of water and duck into air conditioned stores often!

We had temperatures of 32 or 33C at one point when I was working in retail, but we didn't have air conditioning so I just tried to be on the till point nearest the doors so I could get a bit of a breeze ;) I can't imagine what it'd be like to have it 100F with 100% humidity though! 😮 ....even with the fan on, it's 28C indoors, and that's much hotter than I like it :P
