erm no idea off hand - the owl one is a bit erm 'gapey' at a certain point 😊 so I put an extra popper on the flower one, just to cover that point :P I might just measure a bought shirt and see what spacing they use ;)

Haha, isn't it? xD Chickens practically pay for themselves with all of the eggs that they lay. The feed and bedding is inexpensive, too. The only significant expense is the initial cost of the coop. But if you know how to build one, you can probably do that pretty cheap, too. I would love more, but our coop can only hold a max of three. 😂 I think my husband is thankful for that. I think she will have to, I'll nudge her about it. xD

It does! I guess they were going for flavor instead of trying to find good color matches. xD I did see a red, white, and blue version the other day. I think it was strawberry, vanilla, and blueberry. Unfortunately because of my medical diet I can't have strawberries, so I couldn't try it. 😢 I have a jacket with one that is particularly uncooperative. It never wants to snap up! =X Hmmm, do you have any fabric scraps? You could always practice on those until you work up the courage to try it on something like a shirt. :-) I remember my mom doing that.

oooo bookmarks the page thanks :D The patterns I've done before, all had button spacing marked on them (or for the striped shirt I made previously, I added a button for each stripe just to make it look more balanced), but this one just had the placing for the top button, and said "space the others evenly" (no mention of how many to use).... I didn't like the placing for the top popper on the pattern either (it's way too high, so I'd never use it) :P

I've never come across one with different colours like that before! But that's a shame you couldn't try it out :( nods I'll dig out my bag of oddments that aren't quite big enough to make anything from, and test it out :D When I tested it on my previous machine, the three test ones came out fine.... then out of 8 buttonholes on the actual shirt, only 2 came out ok 😊 Of course when I did the next shirt & added a 'hidden button placket' so you couldn't see the buttonholes from the front, those all came out perfect! :P

nods ^ that was the striped top (from two years ago - I was sure it was last year I'd made that! 😊) - the front tie detail covers some of the buttons, but I picked red buttons so they'd stand out. ;) It was meant to have 6 buttons, but I went with 8 just so each stripe had a button :P I think if I'd stuck with the "proper" placing for those, it would've looked odd where it fell on the stripes ;)

when I bought the buttons, the woman in the shop was frustrated that she couldn't find 8 that matched exactly - in the end I asked for 4 lighter red, and 4 slightly darker, so I could alternate them with the stripes ;) But really, unless you look closely you wouldn't have a clue that they didn't match perfectly ;) Thanks :D I got the top yesterday as a prize from the Beachy Keen user-run event, so Niamh wanted to have some short hair that didn't cover it up :P :D

Yeah. 😢 I can have plain blueberry ice cream though, so I got some of that. It's really good! Aww, how frustrating! I've never tried blueberries before, let alone blueberry ice cream! Oh, I hadn't even thought of that! 😮 I had forgotten that blueberries were native to North America. That's like how we don't have blackcurrants here. I only know about them because my mom would order us candy from the UK, and that was one of the flavors. It's good, though. Blueberries are one of the few fruits that I am allowed to eat right now, so it's a good thing that I like them. xD We started a fruit and vegetable garden, and an herb garden so that we could grow some things I could eat. We put in 4 blueberry bushes, so hopefully we will have lots of berries eventually. Ooo, that sounds good! One of the local creameries makes a really nice lemon ice cream, but I can't have lemon now either. 😢 I have been able to get lemon flavoring using the lemon thyme and lemon balm we planted in the herb garden, though. Luckily, those are safe for me to eat. :-) Hehe, I know what you mean! Dusk has been taking over my wardrobe for a bit. The fevermore skin is just so fun! I need more varieties of gryphon tails, though. The ones I have don't work with certain outfits. Thanks! :-) I had to try out a few new rainbow CWs. ;)

Got home yesterday, but been kinda zonked after some very busy day doing stuff and looking after a 5 year old. lol been a really nice trip. :) We went to a public pool, a lil big of sighseeing, visited my friend and whatnot. :) Heading out later today to look around town and I have a thing I am going to tonight. :)

we do have blueberries here, I've just not been adventurous enough to try them yet laughs I didn't know you don't have blackcurrants over there though! I planted a lemon thyme this year - does that have quite a lemony flavour? (I've never used any herbs in cooking before, despite having grown them for ages) I can imagine the tails can be quite awkward depending on how they overlay with everything else.... that's one reason I made sure that RP-Paddy was tail-less ;)
