I was aiming for the legs to be the right angle for the bear to sit, but also look like the legs were dangling down when the bear was picked up - I didn't have the right sized plastic toy joints lying around, and they're not the cheapest of things anyway (a set of five would cost more than the fabric I'd used o.O), so I figured unjointed would be better ;)

I didn't realize they make plastic toy joints. I just thought it was how it was sewn? That is so cool! Now this project is even cooler!!!! Mine was not jointed, if that is what you mean? Mine was just sewn to sit that way, forever sitting, with her hands clasped in front of her via a tiny bit of velcro. :D She was all soft plush inside. :D

nods you can have plastic 'safety' toy joints, or cotterpin joints if you want a more traditional feel. The 'safety' ones would be ok for children's toys, but the cotterpin joints are usually used for collector's bears.

I prefer doing them without the joints when I can (like this running one was), because it just makes it easier laughs I've not got the hang of getting the joints to be firmly attached, while still moving smoothly 😊

Wow I don't even know if I've had a jointed stuffed bear before. maybe i have and I was unaware. Most of my stuffed toys were always pretty formless unless it was sewn in a particular way (like my sitting pose teddy). I do not still have her, unfortunately. One of her legs got ripped off my my sibling at one point. We stitched it back on but then years later we ended up getting rid of most of our toys cause we were growing up/didn't play with them. IDK kids are not really in charge of their stuff most of their life. :P lol

I think the majority of stuffed bears are non-jointed - for mass-manufactured ones, they're cheaper to make them like that, and handmade ones are just easier without the joints laughs

Aww that's a shame, especially that your sibling was so rough with her. I've still got a bear I was given when I was born, although he 'retired' from hugs years ago and now lives in a bag in the top of the wardrobe ;) But then we've never moved house so I've not needed to clear things out in quite the same way. ....and actually, I've just realised that other than one bear I had as a child, all my teddy bears were boys :P

hehe that makes a change for me to give you wardrobe envy! :P The only way I've seen mentioned online, would be to add a wire framework to the legs, but then that wouldn't make it child-friendly (and could be quite fiddly to do).

Your HA is so clever!!!! lol I love it! We cleared out toys not because we moved but because it was just time. And my mom didn't want to keep unused things that we didn't really love. I think also she didn't want broken toys that just sat there... Every time we purged I got to keep all my absolute favorites though, so that was good. :) I only owned one teddy bear, the girl one. My sister had three (my sister ) and I believe two were boys and one was a girl. ^^ Are teddy bears general boy-types for you?

Those rolls sound delicious by the way! It sounds similar to the ham and cheese loaf I made at school - I must try and find my recipe for that (it's here somewhere!)

They are soo yummy! :D You can fill them with whatever you like, with our without any meat/cheese. Sometimes we do ground beef, onion, pizza/tomatsauce and cheese. lol

Ohh, the cake/crust at the bottom! You can use some of the dough to decorate the cake on top- like some do with a pie. :) Its not too different from an apple pie to be honest- just a bit of a different crust. :)

Do you have a recipe for the crust? I thought it was the same crust as an apple pie but different than puff pastry crusts. Like it's the same crust you use for quiche right?

I love me some apple pie or cobbler!! OMGOSH one time i made a quadruple batch apple pie/s and my entire family ate them all within one evening -- we have a lot of family -- but it was so yummy! I can't make that much again though for a while, it was SO MANY apples.

I have not made it myself. :) It is not too different from apple pie crust tho really. :) So hard for me to explain and translate food stuff to english. Sorry that I am a bit confusing. lol When I googled what that kinda crust is called in english it told me shortcrust pastry.

I found the recipe I used for that ham & cheese loaf - it is much the same as yours, although the bread rolls you made, sound easier to do, as the top of the loaf was kind of plaited (or at least cut and flopped over, the way I did it :P) laughs ;)

I did find this online. shows what they look like. :D You roll the dough into a flat cirlce (like a pizza) and cut it into pizza-like slices. :D Add the stuffing on the outer/wider end and roll them up towards the middle. :)

You're welcome! I've never come across pie dough, but we tend to use shortcrust pastry to make pies, so I'm guessing that'd be near enough the same ;) Puff pastry is certainly a lot flakier ;) It'd be so much easier if every country stuck with the same name for things! :P
