YES! I find just one solid coat of color to be ok, tiring, but ok to do. But painting for hours and hours just made my shoulders and back feel over-used and sore. Mostly my shoulders still feel sore. My back just hurts like it needs to be deeply rested. You know? Like a week or two of deep deep sleep might alleviate the sore-discomfort... maybe. :P Yes though, you are totally right that painting in general is very tiring (esp ceilings - I hate painting ceilings).

It was a huge task and you did a phenomenal job. You should be super proud.

Walk was nice as the weather was good and my feet didnt hurt. :) Today I am stopping by the pet store since they have a sale on the food Pusur eats. Since he was on antibiotics his tummy has been very sensitive, but this brand seem to work really well for him. :) Any plans for the weekend? :) Here its getting ready for the bday party on Sunday- cleaning and baking, and soccermatch tomorrow night. :D

there's a surprising lack of choice in black bunny tails - but maybe the one you used was a bunny tail that'd been overly brushed, which just made it look more feline 😇

that's a good thought - I'm a bit reluctant to unstuff and unpick the leg to redo it if I'm honest 😊 Thankfully the leg is hand sewn on, so it should be easier to unpick than tiny machine stitches.... but I'm still not overly eager on the idea laughs

^ he still needs a nose (and the back seam stitching up :P), but I've figured out how to get him to sit upright if I don't redo that leg. It's just a case of wondering if it looks 'right' with the legs being at such an odd pose ;)

Thank you! It took me about 25 hours over about 7-8 days. I did 5 days in a row and two-ish days a week previous. So yea, it took a while but mostly to let layers dry and such -- and I like to think about things (major steps in the piece). Mostly because I have to mentally decide if that color or piece will work in the frame well or not. Then I paint it and fiddle with it a while before it is truly done. lol :P

When it's sitting, you can't see the leg angle but when it's held upright, it looks like it's running :P I'm not too sure who it'll be for to be honest laughs it might be for K, although he's more into dinosaurs, dragons and superheroes than bears ;) I would use it for a school friend's baby, but it's not suitable for such a young age with the type of fur I've used.

Honestly I think it is in my genes. I majored in biological sciences in college and only took a couple art classes in my whole life. But most of the people in my family are pretty artsy, though I am the best painter so far at least that I am aware of (or has taken the time to continue to do/develop?). I'm not super fantastic but I'm saying with in my own family/extended family of artists/crafty people. :D

I agree - I really am hopeful my mom will be pleased. I did it for her! If it were for me It'd have been RIFT/galactic themed. There would be a black hole with colorful schisms on that wall for sure. However, she has already forbidden me from painting anything black of outer space on any walls in the home except the inside of my closet, but it's too cluttered/tiny to want t spend time doing that. xD

You def have some natural ability there then, thats awesome! :D Whenever you get your own place, you should do that in your bedroom- would look awesome! You could paint the ceiling- but it be a pain in the rear I suppose. :P

Let me see if I can explain the bread rolls. You roll out the dough like you would a round pizza. and cut it into pizza-like slices. we will put some ham and cheese on the larger end of the "slice" and roll them so that the filling is stuck inside- before baking them of course. So yummy served warm! :)

This apple cake is made with a shortcrust pastry. apple slices/or filling on top. With sugar and cinnamon of course- like you would making an apple pie. :) its like a regular cake basically. :)

nods that's the first time I've tried making a 'giggler' style bear (with an open mouth), and I'm pleased with how he looks like he's smiling :D I can't make them too independent though - don't want them being able to get into the kitchen and open the biscuit tin all by themselves 😇 :P

Those rolls sound delicious by the way! It sounds similar to the ham and cheese loaf I made at school - I must try and find my recipe for that (it's here somewhere!)

Yes it would be difficult to reproduce for sure. I used to have a bear that was in a permanent sit pose when I was little. I loved her.
