According to google I am 5.15091864 feet (5 feet 113⁄16 inch). Convertions are fun. :P At least it means you save money when you make clothes, you need less fabric. :) I find that sizing is very different when you buy clothes in stores too. A small is not the same all over. :)

I used to live in an apparent that would not allow for any plants because all the windows were in the basement-area except one which did not face the sun enough to grow. So I totally get the struggle of flat/apartment living in terms of not being able to have a garden. I hope you are able to get your growing-needs out with the little potted plants you can keep.

As a random side note, I am 5 feet 7 inches tall, 170.18 cm or 1.7018 meters tall! lol Also for my sizing it is strange because I'm kind of tall for most things, like skinny jeans which are always an inch or two too sorts because I get a lot of length in my legs. Also sorry for butting into the conversation but I found it was interesting... ^^ (( <-- also. )) So when I sew things I just have to usually mix and match a couple different sizing because I am technically right between two sizes because my body is a flat square not a pretty voluptuous woman's shape.

laughs it's always interesting when you try converting cms to inches ;) I dunno what I measure in centimetres :P nods unless you make a mistake and need to start one part over again - thankfully the time I did that, I was able to recut the pieces round the right way, and not loose too much fabric!

I love the Valentine's outfit today! :D Aww on the torrential rain, but as long as you don't get flooded and don't need to be outside, it can be quite good watching the weather from indoors! ;) In most sewing patterns I have to shorten the leg length, but for these jeans I don't have to do much in alterations at all, which really seems strange laughs I think these might come up a little short (I miscut the length slightly), so I might be creative and add cuffs just to get them long enough ;) I don't do anything for Valentine's day - Mum & Dad went out (nothing special, it's their normal day to get out for a few hours) so I just worked on sewing my jeans ;) I would've got further with the jeans, but I've run out of thread 😊

Today, I am hurting and feel…. I am thinking of a burger for dinner/tea today with a baked potato lol.

What color thread do you use for jeans? I've seen people do contrasting colors like silver, rainbow, grey, white, red.... Etc. But most are sewn with a dark blue thread, right? Will you do any embellishments? Adding a contrasting cuff could be cute (like the cece raven plaid pants, if i am remembering the right ones!)

I picked a blue that would almost match the fabric for the main stitching, and a creamy off-white for the topstitching ;) The fabric is this one (link) so I decided I didn't need to do any embellishments with the pockets or anything, as it's going to be patterned enough laughs That fabric is a cotton / nylon mix, so it's thinner than 'normal' denim, but a heck of a lot stretchier. I could've probably gone down a size for the jeans, but I didn't want to have them too clingy, so I'm sticking with the normal size ;)

I just entered "1.57m in feet" into google, and it will do the math for you. Google has a built in calculator that is quite nifty! You have to word things just right for it to work tho. ;)

I reckon that can be annoying, if trousers arent quite long enough for you. You can always take some of the lenght off, but you cant make them longer! Clothing brands needs to realize that not everyone has the same body-shape. :)

that's 1.52 metres then - which I think comes out as the height for children's (well, teenager's) wear in most shops laughs :P

nods it wasn't the cheapest of fabric, so I wasn't very impressed with myself for cutting it with the stretch running vertically instead of horizontally 😊 I only lost a tiny bit of fabric with that mistake though, as I spotted it before I cut out too many pieces!

I agree with you on clothing brands that need to offer other length selections. I have a problem with skirts that are supposed to go a specific length and then they are 3 inches too short and they fall in a strange place. So I tend top just go for longer skirts (knee or tea length) and hem up if I need to. ^^ I'm not a fan of mini skirts though, so it works out well I think. ^^

my Vday was pretty standard/relaxing/normal day. I just baked a little bit more/extra. My nephews and niece really enjoyed the baked treats, so that was nice. ^^

Oh that is a cool jean fabric, it is super stretch too which answers my next question about if it were a stretch-jean fabric. Those are more difficult to add embellishments to. I am much the same with not liking to tight/clingy jeans so I would have probably gone the same route. I can't wait to see how they turn out! BTW I love your new HA today, it's really great!

that's super colour co-ordination today :D nods it's got about 20% stretch, but having tried the jeans on before finishing off the side seams I'm pleased I didn't make them any slimmer, as they already feel quite slim fit on the thigh. I'm guessing they'll stretch and give a bit with wear though ;) Thanks :D I got the background and jacket this week, so I had to let RP-Paddy show them off ;)
