Sounds a lot like here really. :) I can put the wash out to dry on the porch, and I do for a bit because it makes the laundry smell nicer I think, but it doesnt really dry well. :P better to be able to dry it outside on the porch too, since then it wont take up some of the limited space in my livingroom. :)

nods it does smell much better when it's been outside - absolutely no idea why, though! And if you can get it outside, it's much better than making your living room damp ;) In the end, I put the oven on (the clothes airer is in the kitchen), just to get some warmth to try drying the washing out a little :P

So if you can make some trousers that are cute would you need to buy them? I too tend to go for years without buying new jackets or trousers because both items last me for a long time. I tend to buy shirts more often though because they get old/ruined. I think if I spent more they might last longer but I am pretty rough on my t-shirts.

Usually my laundry does okay drying in the livingroom thank goodness but yeah, dont really care for the dampness either. But not much else I can do. I refuse to put my clothes in the dryer, as its sure to shrink them. ;)

Thanks! I am pretty good with making neat lines - IDK why... I just try to imagine I am a sewing machine! LOL I am sure you'll get better at it if you just keep doing it. I have not been doing it very long but I do spend several hours a day doing it now. I have noticed that fabric, being as expensive as it is, makes certain pieces cheaper to buy than make!
