I like your pictures - I am sorry your button bent and is not working out for you. :(
It is a scary new idea to me. lol However, I really want to be able to knit or crochet (which ever one works for my goal better) a sweater with designs in it (most specifically a fox and then the next step would be a jellyfish, red panda, fennec fox, then a bunch of bees, maybe after that butterflies and an owl). Oh good suggestion for starting with larger needles and yarn. Thank you! I'll have to see if my mom has anything lying around. She's done a lot of different things like this in her past and might still have some knitting or crocheting needles lying around her craft-sewing area. What is Tunisian crocheting?
Thanks for the HA compliment!

My and I have been painting my bedroom today. so that kept me busy for a few hours. lol Gonna finish it up tomorrow. The wall behind the bed is gonna be covered with wallpaper. xD
Read above. :D I love London for shopping for sure! :D

Darkish purple/grey. lol Turned out a bit darker on my walls then it looked on the sample.. but I am happy with it. :)

Thanks for the wishes of luck. I hope it works out. If not I'll do something else with my creative energy. Also, thank you for the HA compliment!

I really really extremely want:ooh pretty. Show us pics when its all done :D I'm sure you'll find something perfect :D <3
If you want to put different coloured designs on it (and not have them attached, but actually made into it), then knitting would be easier than crochet. Crochet would be possible, but I think that could be a lot more fiddly (I never learnt how to do a seamless colour change in crochet :P) ;) Tunisian Crochet is done with a long knitting-needle-style crochet hook - there's a guide here (link) which explains it better than I can! ;)
thanks :D I got the shirt this morning, so I had to use it ;) :D All I can think is that it's something to do with the machine running on a zigzag stitch - I was using a short lightning bolt one at the time, so it was going from left-right really quickly. When I used it afterwards for the jeans on a straight stitch, it seemed fine (and didn't dribble oil on the faux overlock zigzag stitch either).... I think it just dislikes those cat trousers! o.O Yeah, in the end I gave Mum the anchor jeans to get the bent pin button bit back out, and she also managed to hammer in a new button for me.
oooo that sounds like it'll be awesome! Which colours have you gone with?

Wow that looks daunting and scary! Oh my gosh. Now I am getting worried I think it is too complex. Maybe I'll try the knitting because I can't imagine not being able to do seamless color changing. OR maybe I'll just do hand embroidery on a piece of fabric and turn it into a shirt-sweater with simple sewing it together. lol I just want lots of animal prints and they are hard to find.

I really really extremely want:knitting with colour changes is a lot easier, as long as you don't get the balls of yarn too tangled (having them in separate bags is a good idea!) ;) But to start with, maybe try making some of blanket squares or something nice and easy (and small) so you can get the hang of it ;)

Yes, well I will have to try it at least once more. Which do you think is the easiest to learn?

I really really extremely want:Thanks gals! I am so bad at describing colours. lol but I will show you gals pics once the wallpaper is up tomorrow and whatnot. :) but to me I say its dark grey with purple hues.. but I find that people dont always agree with my colour assesments. rofl

I would say knitting, because I found it easier to keep to the right number of stitches - the first crochet things I did, I ended up with extra (or missing!) stitches each time :P Mostly though it's down to how well you think you'd get on with two needles, as opposed to one hook ;) I tend to just keep the blunt end of the right knitting needle wedged by my leg, so I don't have it waving around as I'm knitting, but other people knit 'properly' and have both needles in front of them (which admittedly makes for a more comfortable angle - I just didn't get on with the needles waving around like that 😊) ;)
Ah, I finally can see your outfit for today - that little pumpkin pup looks so cute! :D The hoodie works brilliantly with all the autumnal colours :D
hehe when I describe colours, other people tend to disagree with what I've said too ;) Hopefully it'll all go smoothly getting the wallpaper up! :D

its super cute. so strange. hope you can get it sorted :(
fair isle looks daunting but its really not <3
good girl
I might have another look in the instruction book later in the week, and see if I can take the casing off the top bit myself (my old machine had that as part of the user maintenance instructions), as that should let me see where the oil seems to come from.... but it's oddly random in how it is a problem (much like the camera battery problem I had before). I still blame the vampires and the gremlins!

they probably got bored seeing as all the trousers I needed to hem were hanging on the outside of the wardrobe rather than in it :P

You are both encouraging and giving me some hope. So I'll try it first before deciding if it is too hard. Well IDK which one I will tart with. I think it will depend on what needles and things my mo already owns in her pile of things she never uses in her sewing room. After my dr appt today I'll have to take a look with her. ^^

I really really extremely want:hehe that makes sense - I got my original needles from my gran (and some yarn as well), so I already had the stuff I needed to try it out. If she has plastic needles that are quite old, don't make the yarn too tight on the tips of the needles, as they can break.... I found that out the hard way! 😊 The only real advantage for me of plastic needles, is that they're less slippery than metal ones, but wooden needles are a good alternative too ;)

Hmmm.. I will have to see what kind she has (if any). I will keep that in mind about the plastic ones.
