I think my fav is Ris a la mande or æbleskiver. Both native things to Denmark :)
Both are a dessert. Ris A La Mande is rice porridge, that has been cooled and has whipped cream, vanilla and chopped almonds added, before pouring warm cherry sauce on top.
The thing is to hide one whole almond in the dessert bowl and whoever finds the whole almond shall receive an extra little gift :D
Æbleskiver is like takoyaki, but in dessert form. They're made from pancake like batter and is eaten with sugar and or jam. In old days, they used to put a piece of apple inside.
hot homemade scones!!

Thank you anon ;_; x10 March 4/21/21 (RIP Storm-buddy the leopard gecko- you lived a great 16.5 years.)
My folks always ate orange rolls on Christmas morning--I dunno where the tradition came from, but it was always nice.
I also enjoy little appetizer nibbles--water chestnuts wrapped in bacon, crackers with various cheeses, those tiny petit four cakes...
haha I was going to post one of my favorites is Baklava too! :D So simple to make and really good drools I haven't made that in ages...Maybe I"ll cook up a tray for Christmas :)
some of my favorites...Guacamole, seriously....avocados are like a $1 each now and it makes me miss living in TX/FL where I could get 2 for a buck and guac out to my hearts content...I haven't done that in awhile...I wish we could have an avocado tree but too cold in Idaho sighs if I could I'd plant like 4 trees and just eat avocados and guacamole on everything :D
I love homemade pumpkin pie with extra spice. I love stuffing from inside a turkey or bird....this year on Thanksgiving I made it and it turned out awful (first time ever I've screwed up stuffing) and no one kill me but I love veal :o my ex MIL was greek and made this veal dish that was just amazing.
And my 2 year old daughter's favorite is Madelines...I just learned how to make them...the first time I made them kind of sucked...but now? They turned out better with some adjustments :) but its 2 am and she's cranky and when I tried to give her one she threw it on the ground...wow LOL :)
