Don't get me started...
Pumpkin pie, sweet potato pie, gingerbread, cookies, just give me all of the sweets, ok?
Yogurt covered pretzels - chocolate covered ones are also good, but are not as good as the yogurt ones (even though I'm a chocoholic)

July group!
Russian tea cakes or Mexican wedding cakes. Yum! Really though, aren't they one in the same?
My MIL makes these amazing Almond cookies, I always look forward to those!
Usually I'm picky with desserts, but a family friend I know makes these fruit rum cakes I love.
I have to say that my all time favorite food would have to be chicken parmesan. But during Christmas I love to eat the chocolate pie my family makes!
When I was a kid, my grandma would get us mint chocolate chip ice cream just for Christmas. I didn't know that you could get that flavor of ice cream outside of the Christmas season until I was much older, and I think that once-a-year magical treat-ness was what made it my favorite ice cream flavor for the longest time.
We didn't really have any special foods (though I've found out that not everyone put marshmallows on their sweet potatoes), it was all the pretty typical spread for all the holidays. Heck, I hated most of it. But now that I'm all grown up and making the food myself I've found that I really, really missed their mashed potatoes. I just can't get it right :(
Homemade mac and cheese
definitely latkes
Rabanadas are the best!
That's how you make them, more or less:
And then, you enjoy what's a heck of an awesome Portuguese dessert!
(Sadly, I can't enjoy it myself because my house's gas plumbing got stolen this week...)

My family is mostly German/Polish/Slovak so a lot of our traditions come from that side of the world. It's mostly pirogi (cheese potatoes filling in a dough casing) and pizzelles (thin, lightly anise flavored cookies). Smells like home, guys.
leftover turkey and gravy on gluten free bread! YUM!
