My family has an awesome cheese ball recipe that I am actually eating while making this post. It's one of the things I most look forward to around the holidays. I made one for my office Christmas party today and it went over pretty well I'd say :)
I also looooove baked sweet potatoes (with marshmallows on top, of course!)
Those sugar cookies you get at the store!! The soft ones with the sugary frosting.
Lol I don't mind making them, but he really enjoys making them since its only once a year. One of these days! :)
🦋 Happy Holidays! 🦋
I definitely can't pick just one. The food from my husband's dad's side (Italian) is amazing beyond compare. Everything his Nonna makes is magic. Eating someone else's leftovers is an act of war. Their prosciutto and their stuffed artichokes (Nonna would not be happy that I can't think of the Italian name she calls them by) are right at the top. On my mum's side there are always spectacular curries and other Indian dishes, but unfortunately due to my inability to eat spicy foods I only have a few dishes that I can eat (when my wonderful Nanny used to cook it all she always made sure there were at least two main dishes that were mild enough for me). Daal bhat was my favourite when I was younger. Nowadays, after years of slowly increasing my spice tolerance, I can eat mildly spicy foods, but that still limits me, hahah. I prefer chicken korma and naan (and papadums, I've always loved papadums).
Pumpkin pie, candy canes, candy corn, ohhh I could list soooo many!
💋
I always look forward to gingerbread man cookies every Christmas! That’s all I can really think of honestly haha. ; u; Candy canes are always fun too!
I quite enjoy eating "bombom aberto", it's a strawberry + condensed milk and chocolate dessert we usually have every year where I live. it saddens me a little bit because i cannot it as much asi would like to nowadays, as a person with diabetes (this was caused due to the amout of medice i had to take when I discovered I had systemic lupus erythematosus (Lupus) a few years back - thanfully i still produce insulin, but as doctors say, it's uneficient and way less than a normal person produces, - thus, cannot eat as much sugar as i would like to, even taking my daily insulin dose - but i'm happy that in christmas i'm allowed to... eat a bit of it! xD christmas is one of those special days i can eat things i normally wouldnt, hehe ) it really is my favorite ever dessert ^.^ if anyone is learning portuguese, there is a recipe here on how to make this dish: link (i'm sorry, i'm unable to translate atm, but if anyone is interested i can translate later!)
oh... also, im very sorry if it doesnt sound like a happy story, but its way easier to deal with now than a few years back. ^.^
also, i really would like to see more sugar free foods around the site, if possible :3
I love turkey and dressing and candied yams and ultimate brownies yum

My most desire!
Just about any dessert for me. Is it okay if I say mac and cheese? Or some kind of chessy pasta lol. 😆

For me, it's the crazy amounts of holiday ravioli in simple tomato sauce. I can pig out on it for days.
CHRISTMAS COOKIES! The kinds in the tin and especially the kinds in the tin with the crunchy sugar on top!
oh my. When I was a child, my mom baked from this 1975 cookie recipe book. She made quite a few different kinds of cookies like peppernuts. They are these tiny cookies, the size of your thumbnail, that you scoop up and shove in your mouth. They were seasoned with anise, peppermint, cardamom and some other seasons that just scream "OH YEAH" in your mouth.
But my most favorite from that book is the candy cane cookies.
Yummy peppermint flavored candy cane cookies. Oh the nostalgia is coming back to me now. This was quite a while ago so seasons and flavorings have changed since then. Mom ruined the peppernuts and burnt the coconut honey chewy cookies.... but I'm sure she'll be fine with the rest. Hehehe, when she dies I get the cookbook. OH BOY!
[Center]well, it's been a slice. I'm outta here. I'm done here and I need to move on to other things. I've grown weary of forum bullies and just don't have the energy for them anymore. I am praying for my friends here, as well as the bullies... everyone needs prayer...
As for my friends, I love you immensely and you are always in my heart and in my soul. God bless each of you and I pray He blesses each of you greatly.

I absolutely love crescent rolls. I love rolls in general but the buttery crescent ones are my absolute favorite. One time when I was younger I threw a fit about not having them on Thanksgiving and my family still jokes about the year I "ruined" Thanksgiving over rolls.
