My favourite food around easter is a delicious ham with scalloped potatoes!
Around the winter holidays, my mom always made Anise cookies (though not recently, sadly) and I used to down those so fast. Plus our usual Christmas Eve meal: either salmon or steel-head trout with a side of asparagus. And Christmas breakfast is french toast! which we rarely eat any other time of the year.
I love hot chocolate but for some reason it is better during the holidays lol
While it's not exactly a traditional holiday food, my mom would often make a cottage roll for Christmas, alongside mashed sweet potatoes mixed with cream cheese, YUM!
And also desserts. All the desserts. Every singly one, in my mouth.
Pumpkin pie! Gotta say that my favorite dessert is hot red bean soup though...pity that you pretty much can't get it outside of japan ;_;
Peanut butter blossom cookies!
