Oh I see. Well, he didn't actually continue with automobiles (except for his old-timer hobby). He didn't want to continue with cars because it was getting to be too much about electronics and not enough about mechanics. Currently, he makes prototypes and machines (and adjusts them when needed) for people with disabilities. Also, like Treggify said, don't feel old or obsolete. And you're very welcome to be here!

Very true! Design is also about communication, as in "what kind of message do I want to send" and "to whom" and "how". Also, thank you for the link! It sounds pretty nice, but tbh I'm not a fan of the vocals. Love the instrumentals though!

Hi there and welcome! Tell us about yourself?

Haha, well thanks! I played guitar and wrote the song structure, so I aint got no ego in the vocals.

Speaking of design, I did a design jam this week. Here's the writeup I did about it.

-- Edit: the medium link was breaking because of the @ in it.

Also, in the other thread you mentioned that there were more changes than just transitioning from BS3 to BS4, such as the move from semantic+prototype to bs+jquery. Does that mean that there&;ll be more responsive designing going on too? Or will there still be a separate (hopefully improved) mobile version?

Yes, we want to make the design responsive, and get rid of the separate mobile version. We've wanted to get rid of the mobile version for ages tbh, we can't do it yet however because of the backlash we'd face.

Do you have any examples of poetry you&;re willing to share?

I do, but I don't have a place where I post them online. I usually just send people files if I want to share things. What kind of poetry do you like? I could find something and paste it here for you.

That design is looking pretty slick! My only comment on it is that it's a bit corporate looking for gamers.

Wow, that's a lot of globetrotting! Next week when? Are you doing anything special to celebrate?

Oh that sounds awesome! Can't wait to see the changes =) Also, I don't have any preference for poetry, I think. I just like to read all kinds of things! My attempts at poetry usually end up being to heavy on rhyme or either end up being limericks or haiku's.

On a different note, to all, ... IT'S ALMOST CHRISTMAS EVE (here in Belgium at least). Only 6 or 7 hours left until GIFTS. Sorry for the caps, but I'm so excited! What're you all doing to celebrate?

I was inspired by StreamLabs and the like. I think at the end of the day gamers just want something that works. I could see adding some badges and achievements with more gamery graphics though. Kinda comes down to taste then. You're in Belgium? That's awesome! Happy Christmas Eve!

That's so interesting. That's why sprints are really good, small incremental changes prevent that sort of backlash, in my experience.

My beliefs prohibit any holiday. But I embrace the values they emphasize, to some extent.

It seems no fallout, less any outlook. But winter just begun, maybe later...

Yeah, probably. I'm more of a designer than a real gamer (I keep buying The Sims, not to play it but to make and download custom content + pretty houses and stuff). Yes, I live in Belgium! Your website mentioned that you're form Denver. What's it like there? For example, what's the weather been like lately? Merry Christmas!

That sounds nice! What kind of restaurant did you go to? Did you have a nice meal?

Then I wish you a nice start of the week and much joy and health and love for the foreseeable future and beyond. Winter's just begun, but the longest night has passed. From here on out, the nights will get shorter and daylight will prevail once more!

Merry Christmas! Denver's weather changes rapidly day in and day out. It will snow in the winter and then be 70º the next day. Most snow from a storm will melt within a week or so, usually. But it does get cold in the winter, as our reputation says. Coldest I've been was -15º. Most of the time it's about 15-40º in winter, though. This week was fairly cold, which was a welcome development! haha

All that said we do get 300 days of sunshine in a year, or so they say.

And yes, I'm definitely more of a designer than a gamer. haha

let it snow. Maybe the Rio Grande will be more than a trickle...Like in 2006, it nearly overflowed. It was like that for a week.

Wow, how bizarre to hear about your weather. We don't get as much sunshine in Belgium, or as much warmth. But then again we don't get very extreme weather so it's not as extremely cold as in Denver either. Winter's usually about 0ºC, sometime's a bit below that. Weirdly enough it usually warms up around Christmas and then cools down again afterwards. Mostly we have a lot of rain in Belgium. Both the rain and the moderate climate are probably cause by our proximity to the coast. Here's the 14-day forecast for my area. Lot's of rain, as you can see. I think you guys are using up all the sunshine so there's none left for here =P

Hope you have fun, good food and good company!

Honestly, that sounds pretty great. I've got the Seattle type of temperament. I love rain and moderate weather. Sign me up.

Last year there was hardly any snow at all. Getting more already, so yes! Hopefully, we do get more water flowin'.

I prefer less rain and more sunshine. It doesn't even have to be warm, as long as there's sunshine! I get all lethargic and cranky when there's not enough sunshine >=[

I'm fine with the low 30s-40s. I get to bundle up. But when the warm weather comes, bring on the inferno! I prefer to stay outside in 90+ days. I know to adequately protect myself.

| CONGRATS on winning the spotlight with Webmaster! xD

| I prefer it to be at least 18°C myself, any less than that and I find that I have to bundle up in layers upon layers, which I'm not exactly thrilled about. Summers in Belgium are usually mild but humid, I think it's something between 20°C and 28°C? We do usually get a week or two where it's around 30°C and 35°C, and then that's too much for me. It's an okay temperature to laze around in the sun in, but it's a bit too hot to be walking around in, imo.
