PSA! PSA! Who here needs rain?! Cause every freaking day that I've left the house this week guess what... RAIN. And I thought today would be good but so far it's sprinkling... Weather information [i]lied[/b] to me when I looked a little over an hour ago saying it would be gone by now. Hmph.

omg, I literally laughed until I had water in my eyes. Poor kiddo. Who knows maybe the garden will thrive a little more having him stomp and run around in it, hahahaha!

I thought style-file closed down? I haven't been on in ages.

No, they had to take it down for a bit for maintenance and update the site a few times, but it's still up.

We had some rain early this morning, but now it's sunny. That's what I hear on the weather too, a lot of rain through the weekend, but I'm still waiting.

There are quite a few places for sale up here. Sadly I will be limited in what I will have access to due to what the loan will be. When I was originally in, based on information I gave her she gave me an estimate of what we would be looking at as far as how much the loan would be for. There are a few cute places in the range with looking online already.

Thanks. I need positive vibes from others. Im trying not to get excited or happy about it. I fear what will happen if I do.

No peeing oneself. We will have to start buying you Depends if you start doing that. :* Yea. I am 5 points from what I need. I should have that easy enough. HOPEFULLY!

I'm glad you have some options. Looking forward to seeing what you get to peek at. Is your current rental about to be up lease wise? Otherwise, maybe unless the market is booming in your area you could wait until after the start of the new year? Just a thought, I know, the sooner the better for sure and if your lease is up then go for it girlie! <3

Lease isnt up...Im not in one. BUT my current landlord wants to remodel the place. PLUS he wants the cats gone. He hates cats with a passion. Honestly its funny...he had no idea I had any cats until I went home to my moms funeral and my friend that was watching my place (who also does the heating and air for the place) told him by accident. Landlord called him to check on next door unit and friend was all "Yea I have to be over there later today anyway to take care of Dee's dogs and cats. Landlord was like "Cats?" From that moment on he has been all "Get rid of them. I smell them. It smells bad." I am tired of that and him constantly about it when I deal with him. Yes I am sure it has a smell in here....AND I am sure it has gotten worse since he started his shit cus I am all "F YOU!" SO he has asked that I leave in the fall so he can remodel and so forth like he did with the unit next door when it was in between tenants. SO I have to go no matter what by the fall (I am aiming for October/November). SO if the loan falls thru I have to find another apartment. WHICH leave me in a bind about things in genearl. SO this has to happen.

interesting that he didn't appear to smell them prior to the slipup, lol. And that's good that you're month to month more or less. It's hard to find places like that here and to be honest, I think that's bullshit. Any who, I'm sure you will get the loan, hon. Keep on with what you've been working on and soon you will have something to call yours. Do you have an idea of what kind of place you want? Solitary house/mobile home or something like a townhouse?

Currently looking at solitary. Rather not have a townhouse with a neighbor right up on you . I am tired of that. Hearing them etc. I need off by myself. Think mostly house/mobile type places.

Like these ones are on my watch list Home 1 Home 2 Home 3

Yea. I think with landlord it was mind over matter. Second he heard the word it became an issue. I honestly think he would never have noticed unless he was told. And it really pisses me off.

I feel ya. I just wasn't sure if that was an option you would consider since they sometimes offer yard upkeep and waste management.

I like the second one you're peeking at. The third one might be a bitch since it's dark in the pictures so would need some sprucing up probably to brighten it up some and then the septic tank. I run when I see those, I do not want to think about how hellish those are to keep up or maintenance since I've only had one experience with them and lets just say they nasty. The first one is alright though looks like it could have been a meth lab or something with all those extra buildings... Maybe farmers? Hm. What caught your attention for that one, space overall? The last one looks very secluded. Hm.

Most places have septic tanks. That would be needed to be known when the last time it was pumped etc was. You can go 10+ years without doing it.
Yea I would need to figure out how to do yard stuff...like how to mow OR hire a company to come every so often to mow for me. LOL All 3 of them are in the price range (lady told me about 70k is what I would be getting) so that is the first plus on them. they are all semi secluded and have a decent amount of land. That could mean garden and space for the cats to roam outside too.

The first one is a bit dark inside. Very 70s vibe with all the wood paneling. LOL Im thinking they had bunch of toys/farming stuff. I kinda like the idea of all the buildings already there. If at all possible if it isn't done...could easy turn one into a spare room/guest house type thing. Or even a cat house. That would be cool. Plus it has 2+ acres of land to it. Which would be great!!!

The second one isnt as much land. So that is kind of a downer. But I like that it has some extra buildings too. But IDK.

The third one maybe you meant propane tank not septic? That is my HUGEST hang up on it. Propane is expensive!!! Its like $3 a pound now I think and usually they require you get at least 100 pounds. So it would end up being $300 just to do that. SO I am not liking that at all. BUT it has lots of land on it. Also based on where it is located, internet can be a pain in the butt. So it kinda is on the lower end.

ah, I thought you had to do the septics sooner. Like once a year or something. I guess the people I've known didn't know how to handle their shit er I mean poo, hahaha. Good thing you know all about that.

I'd check the structures for any kind of damages and what have you, I saw a few (2) listings that might be in your range that looked well kept but not sure how much space you're wanting and the like.

Ah, so would the propane be for the year or every 6 months? We get ours through a line so no take in that regard and pay about $30 to $45 a month as of late.

Is that the only area you're looking in or are you open to broadening your search to help give you more options? One thing to consider is the price of connecting everything like water, gas and the like and of course any furnishings. Unless you're just going to furnish stuff as you go, which is doable for sure.

Depends but probably furnish as I go. I only hope that it comes with Stove and Fridge. Everything else can be bought over time. First purchase would be a washer and dryer...at least dryer...I could do clothing by hand for a time if need be. But that would be first. I have a few things living here. I have a bed so that is all I really need anyways to start off anywhere. I will need to buy new couch etc. But that would come in time. No need to instant have. As I said, washer and dryer first (if not already there). Then once that stuff paid off and for I would move onto other furnishings.

I would need to know what that propane is used for 100%. If just for stove, hot water etc shouldnt be to bad, but if need to heat in winter could make it worse. When you have a property you need to supply it in general. Probably a huge tank would get you by for the year tho. Depending on what runs off of it. That would be major question.

Yea I wouldnt want any of the outbuildings to have much damage to them at all if I wanted to use them for stuff. I really love the idea of that one place and turning it into a guest house type thing. If I have a friend or someone visit they could have their own little bungaloo of space to sleep in. Sure they would need to come in for kitchen, bathroom to main house but private quiet area to sleep would be nice to have I think for them. :)

I have opened my search up a bit more then originally planned. I was trying to stay in the county I am currently in, BUT think if I open ta little wider it okay. I have to think driving time for work etc. AND road conditions in winter time for work. So I need to keep things in mind of how far and the roads I woul d need to take.

, ok. i got to ask.

what's and IP?

heh. and I would LOVE to have some cookies! :D :D

and (and ) you KNOW i have to "stick my nose" into this convo.....

the first house. NO! you would have TO much work to do to that place, to make it livable especially for the winter. TRUST ME and you would have to much work to do, to paint and get the inside "lighter" in color. but mainly, the winterizing it would be the hard thing.

(the man would LOVE all those outbuildings)

at least it has a decent drive way that you can shovel the snow off of.

and i do love how big the kitchen is. and how it's more open then the others.

I love the second one, mainly because of that front porch. lol (it has propane also?) the outbuildings look much cleaner and sturdier than the 1st house. I really like the bathrooms also.

and is that a laundry room? WOW. (do you get to keep the freezer?) i love that!

:( but no washer/dryer? and no dishwasher? the kitchen seems a little small. but maybe a rolling table of some sort? that you can tuck away when you don't need it? (oh wait. i think i see a washer tucked away there)

the third one. eh. at first i liked it. but the more i looked at it (it's hard to tell so much, with all the owners stuff in there. and the info DOES say it's being sold "as is"/no repairs. yikes.)

heh. in my opinion, it's the snow removal that you better make sure you line up before yard work.

and OUCH. i didn't realize that propane was so expensive! do any of them have a wood stove? (we used to be able to get a truck load of wood delivered for less than a 100 a month)

GOOD LUCK and go with your gut.

hahahaaa all i kept saying is, "my poor daughter. what is she going to do with him, when it's cold and snowing?" (cause she's up in the mtns. and it SNOWS/freezing rain up there a LOT) and when she comes home and is tired as CRAP, and has to take him "out for a walk, run" heh.

The man kept telling the dog. "now when you get home, you do to your mommy, what you did for us....=you run away, you shit on the floor"

hahahaa and what happen. EXACTLY THAT!

when she finally called me after that 1st weekend of having him. (plus all the moving in stuff) sure enough. he escaped and RAN like the FLASH. and she said to me, "and Mom. I'm a redhead. Redheads do NOT RUN." hahahaa (omg. she is SO right about that. at least in THIS family) :D

then she tells me, how in the morning, she got up early. (she works nights. so her 'morning' are usually 2 in the afternoon. so when she says early, she probably means she got up at noon. of course. she doesn't go to bed till about 5/6 in the morning) took him outside (into the little 'courtyard' that her townhouse has) STILL in her pj's. he peed. she brings him back into the house so SHE can go to the bathroom. and when she opens the bathroom door to leave. he had SHIT ON THE FLOOR RIGHT OUTSIDE THE DOOR.

HAHAHAAAAA LAUGHING HYSTERICALLY!!

:D

i couldn't help myself. as many times as that happen to me. it was true karma. :D

and YES! hahahaaa :( since our plants aren't doing well At All. i'm REALLY disappointed. not even my cherry tomatoes, which was growing so awesome, have all started dying. they are all looking pitiful :( i'm so sad.

heh. ah well.

. heh. i like how you used the shorts! that was an interesting layering, and looks kind of cool.

aahhhhh, lol Of Course! . grin. should have known that (me)

man, i'd LOVE to get me one of them! especially since we usually have meat that's frozen, and it's not till "later in the day" i think of something i like to cook, and then can't, because the meat is frozen, and it will take me a day to unthaw it.

(unless i run it under water, or something like that, NEVER put it in microwave. hahahaa)

: $40 for a Instant Pot? I am impressed.

I asked about publishing because I have four manuscripts that I'm trying to sell to the older children market. I'm currently looking for an agent.

Yes, I am a role-playing character, but I don’t bite (much.)
