ugh yeah the debt to ratio craziness is something else. We're working on ours, two smaller ones and then a larger one we hope to start paying larger chunks on soon but we'll see. I just want to make the smaller ones vanish and stay gone for a good while. I wonder if the 30% is across the board for all states or if it's just in your state. Hm. I'll have to look and see what it is for here in my state. Didn't think that would be a big thing, I mean obviously you don't want to be maxed out on debt and such buuut anywho, lol. I looked it up on google when she said it...think the 30% in across the board. Plus side loan person said it was across the cards, not just each card. SO if I wanted I could pay off them all and work with whats left or work on 30% on each one. Thats what I am trying to do. Like if you have 5 cards with a total credit limit of 2000 you can have a zero balance on all but one card, the one card can be maxed as long as the total credit debit isnt more then 30%. So lets say 1 credit card with a 1000 limit, one at a 500 and another at a 500 for the total of 2000. You can have one of the 500 cards clean and the 1000 clean and the one 500 maxed...you are still below the 30% ratio. Does that make sense? The lady explained it to me that way. She did say DONT get rid of any of the cards tho cus that can hurt credit too. I started fearing I will get them paid down and then end up with no loan to show for it...BUT a friend was like well at least your cards will be clean and can use them if need be ;)

That is what I have to do to play lower quality games these days- like good ol' Diablo 2. Cannot play it without getting nauseous. Still trying to get Fallout to work on this computer, it crashes on start up. But I have Dragon Age- Origins back! evil cackle Had to remake my elf mage and start from scratch. I love casters.

yep, I totally got ya on what you were saying. I was doing the math earlier on what we have left. We'll have one of our lines of credit clear and closed by the end of the year. The other can be paid down but I'm more annoyed with the one that will start actually accruing interest come the start of the year... So going to see how we can pay that down. Not thrilled to be honest but it is what it is for now.

The whole credit system sucks. AND the fact that none of them use the same system to calculate your credit. Like WTF. One I have well over a 600 the other I am under. I think loans and stuff should look at each situation separately and not simply judge based on the credit score. As I said someone that has rented from a specific spot for YEARS has basically proven that they can pay something monthly like clockwork and haven't been kicked out due to lack of payment. Obviously a landlord isnt going to let someone stay for years upon years when they aren't paying ever. And YES my debt is over the 30% BUT it shows that I pay on the cards monthly and not just ignore them. BUT I think the thing that has upset me the most is the fact that I KNOW that if I was in a relationship and had someone standing by my side to sign the papers for a house loan it would have happened already OR if I still had to wait would have been a higher loan amount. (She estimated how much I would be allowed once things dealt with.)

And worse right now this is something I REALLY REALLY want and yet in the bottom of my stomach and deep in my heart I feel it isn't going to happen. Why? Because I want it so bad. I am so use to disappointment and not getting what I want that it is automatically there that I just know that it won't be a reality for me. I am trying to remain positive about it but there is that feeling right in the back that says "You know it won't so just accept it now that what you are doing is for nothing."

I wish I could play games more. I LOVE some of the story lines that they have etc. Esp the Fallout ones. Just kinda open world do your thing. But the whole getting sick just puts a damper on the enjoyment of playing. So I tend to not play many games or if I do the graphics are simple or they are along the lines of SIMs.

yep, exactly. Not many folks know there is more than one score under our credit. I was stunned to learn there is one for car insurance. Like wow, y'all have to be pulling one on all of us at that rate. Sheesh. The downside to the fact you could have gotten the loan with another person just means that if something goes sideways they can recoup the loss from both parties so there's always that factor. I really think come the start of 2019 you'll be looking at houses or places that will accommodate you and your loan amount. ((hugs)) I feel you entirely on how you feel. That's partly what's going on with me right now with my Birthday in tow is realizing I don't have anything going for myself and it's down right depressing. Too much silence and not enough support or knowledge to move forward right now. So I get it, I do. Though I'm feeling confident you'll be able to start looking by the end of the year. :)
