Brussel sprouts used to be the sort of standby, 'everyone hates them' food, but I think they've become kinda trendy now. That said, I love them. They're like tiny little cabbages. I feel like that might count. I tend to like veggies that others don't and hate veggies that are universally loved. Like, I adore asparagus, artichokes, sprouts, mushrooms, etc. But I can't stand freaking tomatoes. They ruin my day.
Some seafood seems to be pretty controversial... and I'm really big on nigiri that's straight tobiko (fish roe. The tiny orange eggs you see on some sushi rolls). I also have to shout out dried squid and its delightfully strong flavor that most standard palates seem to despise.
Mmmmm... there's those cocktail onions, the small ones that come in a jar of vinegar? As a kid I would eat entire jars of those. I can still eat them now, they are quite yummy- I am just more aware of how strong all that vinegar is and how it can affect my tummy. :P Also PORK RINDS, if the universe inverted tomorrow and junk food turned into health food, my pantry would be full of pork rinds.
I absolutely love lemons. I have a lemon tree in the backyard and will eat them like oranges. Peel the skin, and eat them! My mouth is watering just thinking about it!
the water that is left over after boiling black beans. i'll eat it with corn flour or just straight drink it with salt added.
Yeah, I'm another one who really enjoys black licorice, but no one else around me. As a child I didn't care for its strong flavor at all, but now I appreciate that uniqueness.
Also, like most of the posters here, I like dried (and regular) squid. Seafood is so tasty!
Eggnog. I am the only one in my entire family that adores it. ALL FOR ME, THEN.
Not sure if it counts really because it's not a "dish" just something I do that everyone thinks is gross, but I make chip sandwiches when I'm super broke and have nothing to eat ? I use bread, plain chips, and mustard lol
I used to eat peanut butter and dill pickle sandwiches all the time... it grossed everyone out :(
Hm....I would have to say....deviled eggs or asparagus.
Do raw ghost peppers count?
Ooo, I've never actually seen a whole ghost pepper before - I used to really enjoy pieces of ghost pepper mixed into cheese, like Monterey Jack cheese. One of my favorite cocktails was a ghost pepper gimlet, as well. Do you enjoy the pepper mixed into other things?
Raw or cooked, preferably with the seeds. I most commonly pair them with a combination involving meat, bread, and/or cheese. Then again that's still a lot of things.
Well in my family I'm the only fan of soup, that's hard to get by, I know!
I like shrimp chips too! They're a common snack in my community so I didn't know that people didn't like em.

haha, i tend to have a penchant for liking foods other people find disgusting for whatever reason. brussel sprouts, deviled eggs, blue cheese, spinach and artichoke, dishes with lots of onion, pickles straight out of the jar, cottage cheese, most kinds of seafood. and as mentioned by someone else - pineapples on pizza, as long as it's with ham! my options for what i can just eat around the house or when i go out with friends can feel a bit limited at times, haha.
I love brussel sprouts. Probably way more than I should. And I can eat A1 steak sauce on just about anything.
Coconut, especially almond joys. People always seem to cast them aside, but I love them.
...
In my family? Couscous. I'm the only person that likes it. Same for paisly roots, red beets, yoghurt, turmeric, lentils.... Sometimes I wonder what they can even eat.
Then again, my family loves these meat-and-fat heavy traditional dishes which I hate.
I like tofu! My brothers always give me dirty looks like 'why are you making that AGAIN' but I make some awesome tofu!! Sooo good. I fry it up with some cornstarch and garlic powder, add soy sauce and Valentina sauce and it's wonderful. :D
