Go on and confess!
Or, it can just be a confessional for me, only as opposed to the point of a sincere confession, I have absolutely no guilt about it. I'm fairly certain everyone has that one particular food item they think is a little piece of divinity on their tongue while the rest of your friends, family, co-workers, random passersby, etc., think it is revolting.
For me, it's baked shrimp chips.

I must have built an immunity to these things as a kid, because I do not smell the strong fishy scent or taste an overbearing fishy flavor everyone else complains about through their gags. I love these, and I swear to God, I will clear out a bag in five minutes if you leave it out. My hubbie, who is the dude who ate a ghost pepper on a sample plate in Spec's just because "it was there", tore his head away from the bag as humanly possible without flinging himself across the room. More for me!
So, what do you guys love without end that makes your loved ones taste vomit in their mouths a little bit when you mention it? Bonus points if you give me pictures and recipes!

Cilantro! Most everyone I know hates it but it's soooo good!!
It's not so much the foot itself as it is the way I eat it....I enjoy canned pasta right from the can w/out heating it up and everyone looks at me like I'm nuts....
- That's somewhat the opposite where I am. I, my family, and most of my friends like cilantro, but I have one friend who cannot stand it (which I find odd, because of all things, she's a horticulturist).
- I can understand other people feeling odd about it, but cold pasta doesn't personally bother me either. I wouldn't bother heating up the pasta dishes in MREs when I was in the Army (I saved the warmers as emergency heat packets for colder weather) and even now, if I do a solo hike overnight, I just re-hydrate my food and eat it cold. Just tell your friends you're lessening your carbon footprint by not using electricity, gas, or burning wood to heat your food. XD

That's a better answer than the truthful one I give lol by lunch time I'm to tired/lazy to walk the 5ft to the microwave lol
I know people who think it tastes like soap. Which I found out that is a genetic disorder. Weird, huh?
Idk if this counts because it's not me... but my brother will eat mayo sandwiches... legit just bread and like a like an inch layer of mayo... makes me wanna puke.
Nobody I know likes soft serve, which is somewhat weird for me. I love it. Maybe it's an American thing?
My brother is somewhat similar. He puts mayonnaise on EVERYTHING, so he'll eat things like bologna and cheese sandwiches with mayonnaise. It sounds so disgusting to me, just like a fat sandwich.
BLECH. So gross!! I think my brother is the reason I can't eat more than a tablespoon of mayonnaise... He will also eat that cream of chicken soup right out of the can... no milk or anything... just opens it and eats it with a spoon
I've never ever in my life heard of shrimp chips???????????? Hahaha I gotta try them.
One dish I like and is not uncommon around here but people still freak out over is tongue. Cow tongue. It's super delicious though, I bet if people tried it thinking it was some other sort of meat they'd love it. I also really like liver, but I don't eat it often.

How it ends up

For me it's veggies, in general. Salad, broccoli, brussel sprouts, you name it, really. Most of my friends seem to be really into junk food and it's not even like I judge them for it anyway (and junk food can be nice too sometimes I guess) but I just like my healthy food.
I feel like the issue with tofu is that those who don't like it never have eaten it properly. Tofu pretty much absorbs and amplifies the flavor of what it's prepared with, so it can taste like a lot of things and be absolutely delicious! At anyone who reads this who hasn't tried tofu, look for meals with tofu in good asian restaurants, they usually know what they're doing.
For me, its packets of ramen. The dried stuff that you boil and put the flavouring on? I eat it dry, crushed, straight from the packet, and everyone things I'm mad, but it's great!
red onions. I'll cut them in half and fry it. No need for seasoning because it's packed with all the right flavor. I'd eat it raw, but it burns my mouth. I also like sardines a lot!
Salmon Roe, Candy Hearts (Sweethearts/Sweetarts, depending on where you are), and Candy Corn.
Candy corn is just sugar wax, I know. It's gross. I'll still inhale several bags every Halloween.
I'm back after a hiatus!
I love coconut and I thought a lot of people did too but I don't think I've met anyone else who does. I also like Marmite which is notorious for people either loving it or hating it, but my sister hates it. My mum on the other hand is even weirder and likes making Marmite into a drink by putting a spoonful in a mug with hot water but she doesn't like eating it any other way!
I like lemon slices, like the kind you garnish iced tea with. I'll always eat them after I finish my tea, and it bugs others because of how sour they look alone. XD
Back when we did, I ate cow cheeks. The things we ate out of hunger, and I've never been so grateful for the choices I have now.
I seem to be the only one in my family and friend circle that enjoys eating shrimp.

i like sauerkraut. it's a pretty popular dish here, not just in hamburgers or hot dogs, or what have you. but as legit food, with sausages, and polenta. i also love mayonnaise! but don't eat it too often - have a sensitive stomach.
I really have to update my blog ObscureJourney and my review site BeingObscure. French speakers can read my reviews here.
