- I have definitely been using the Gelatin Slayer! Along with the trident, Rapier of Error (to set up some curse damage at the start as suggested by MrCool), AoN, and STS. I've added RV to that and have tried various combinations with and without blasting. My latest is using Recycle Blaster and Blackmoon Hand Blaster. I've been double blasting right at the start with my one Cobalt Eternal for defense. Then AoN plus Rapier and Aftershocks. Then mostly Gelatin Slayer plus full block plus Aftershocks. With that I've thrown a Dark Light or Dark Magma Potion each turn. Since win four, I haven't come quite close enough yet to use a Negating Pylonic but I have one equipped. I did get one tie but I was way behind on health and wasn't expecting what must have been a double crit hit that turn (I think it was over 3K damage) so didn't use the Negating that time (oops! :-) ).

No I haven't sent you the Pirate Heels. I had already buried them in my vault and was fully occupied battling. But I'm glad you got some and like them. Just checked because I did make one grab at a Rapier Hilt - mostly our of curiosity - but apparently I didn't snag it because I have none of either the hilt or the captains plume. I always try for the books (I am such a book nerd :-) ) and when I don't see any sometimes I wind up grabbing something random. I'll be sure to let you know if I manage to grab one of the items your are looking for.

- congratulations on getting a nice sticker from Mori. I also heard that Drills was giving out items. Guess I'll have to consider doing more quests daily during the holiday.

- yes, Shadowhex is going to have a really hard time getting five wins on the Maliss Bopper. Tos is almost to T10 and is really struggling to get a fifth win - even using Dark Light or Dark Magma potions every turn for extra damage. And I've needed to use a Negating Pylonic for three of the four wins I did manage. Next year, though, you will trounce that bopper! Have fun playing with the smaller ones.

- Tos has been using an AoN and STS (and now even AoN, STS and RV) so even with that it might be really tough for with Shadowhex's current stats. Although she has lots better AP and probably scrolls. I'd offer a loan, but I still need it for Tos to get her fifth win (I hope!) and also to fight Vintage Prodigy. If I can get those done and we don't suddenly have new Keelhauliday limited time challengers, she could try if she wants.

And I think you will be very pleased at the results you get when you battle a little smarter rather than just "hitting as hard as I can". I got to this thread about a year ago and it really has made a huge difference in what I've been able to get done, so I hope that happens for you as well.

I've noticed there are a few differences between mod preferences but for mods on weapons you plan to use a lot mostly I've seen a combination of Parched Baguettes and Critical Strike Tears recommended. Since I'm still experimenting so far most of my weapons have parched tear crystals (a lot cheaper for a trial!) and I've just recently learned to swap out one of those for a Critical Strike Tear and have been seeing good results. With four available mod slots the most frequent thing I've seen is two Parched Baguettes, one Critical Strike Tear and one mod slot left for whatever you prefer or would be best for a particular opponent.

- hmmm, if the battle shop was open, maybe I should change all my mod slots to singed for the Maliss Bopper to get that extra curse damage. Plus the bopper doesn't block the magma damage from those crystals. Something to think about if I'm still stuck and the Bopper is still here when the shop comes back. (Although I REALLY hope that doesn't happen. :-) ) Actually, both Singed and Parched Tear Crystals are still really affordable. Maybe I'll give that a try. I don't think I've ever used a singed mod before. Another new battle trick to add to my list.

Hello~ How are you today? Yeah, the extra int was nice! Basically the best free boost ever~ I need to keep on it with the job income, less so for the income, and more so for the free stats. I snagged a possessed bow this morning at like 545a because I couldn't sleep.

I keep thinking I use this restocking time to try to get some challengers conquered, but I haven't. I just keep messing with my avatar or trying to find some place to chat.

Wow - you found a Possessed Bow at BHH! Huge congratulations!!! And really exciting because that's how I plan to get mine one day, so it's nice to know that it's still in the item pool for that location. (I think there are a strictly limited number of them that go out and then they can't restock any more unless they are manually replenished by staff.) Even better Pacifist can use it right away (although she might have a few problems learning to use a bow with those beautiful flippers of hers :-) ).

Eh, the bow is possessed, I'm sure it works by itself lol I was surprised to see it. I was like "Meh can't sleep go to subeta" and just clicked BHH for the heck of it. I'm not lucky with there, I either click too much and get banned or just don't care enough and never check. So I saw -something- and was like OOH BUY then it registered that "Wait, this is a -good- something" I don't even know how much it cost. I went from something like 71k to something like 67k

Yeah more cobalt scrolls will also help. You can try a regenerating pylonic to boost your stats. I am not looking to boost now, but stock up on them to use later.

I think BHH has just been saving up all of your good luck for this particular buy. It's a little like getting an AoN from the Hustler. So you are indeed really lucky to find it and I'm so glad you were able to react in time and make the purchase.

By the way, it's easy to count and see how many times gets you banned. And if you are banned, you can go back about an hour later and start again.

Haha - very true - it is indeed a Possessed Bow and should be able to operate itself! :-) SL has it listed for 7,500 tokens. I've been trying to always keep 10,000 tokens on hand when I visit BHH just in case my bow finally makes it's appearance. But Tos is only T9 (almost T10 now!) so she can afford to wait her turn patiently.

- thank you. No nothing in particular, just always want all the books all the time on Subeta and in real life. :-) As far as the Freyalise goes, I noticed that this year's must have items will be back and much easier to snag next year, so I am always just happy and excited with whatever I find.

I hope you get all your wearables. Twelve should be reasonably doable by the time the event winds down. It usually gets easier as people find what they want and move on to other things. And it's not so bad if you have to buy one or two items from user shops afterwards. It's when you have to buy all of them that things get out of hand.

Okay - added some singed crystals - let's see if that helps any. If not, I guess borrowing or buying some Cobalt Eternal scrolls (or borrowing a couple of Sancturia Exodin scrolls) is the last thing I can think of for now. (sigh - I am starting to really miss my healing and limited freezing. :-) )
