Got Maliss Bopper down to 719 hp this time. It's really getting close!

BQs finally done

I did get the purple hilt to go with my purple plume :D

The last time, I saw the PBow, clicked on it, and I DIDN'T HAVE ENOUGH TOKENS Went I got them, it was too late. And I'm forever nervous that I won't be able to even see another ever again.

But I have to be confident. I'LL GET THAT STUPID BOW FROM THE BHH NOW

Skipped all the blasting in favor of an extra turn of damage. Got a singed curse to activate. And, most important had a kind loving (and pleading) talk with my AoN which responded by lasting for several turns this time around and ...

I am so thrilled to be done with that. It only took me about an entire day's worth of battling. Didn't need a Negating Pylonic for that last win (in fact, I think I still had either one or both of the other full blockers in hand). I did throw either a Dark Light or a Dark Magma Potion each turn. Used Cobalt Eternal plus Gelatin Slayer plus Rapier of Error first turn, trident plus Gelatin Slayer plus Perilous Whirlpool (for the fire block since I have it) second turn, then trident plus Gelatin Slayer plus Aftershocks until my health was too low to be able to afford not blocking (I think that was just one turn), then Gelatin Slayer plus AoN plus Aftershocks until the end.

When I first got my AoN, I had absolutely no idea what it was and did not own any full blocker. I was actually offered the choice of a trident or the AoN but had recently purchased my trident so decided to go with the AoN which I was told was the pride and joy of the battler I was getting it from. And, while, I did not frag 8 hours straight to earn it like he did, I too have learned to much appreciate its value. I love my AoN!

Okay - time to take a break, have some food and then see how Tos does against Vintage Prodigy. Very excited to finally get time for that - also really happy. I might very well not get five straight wins. But even if I die, at least I will be able to try to use my limited freezing - and, of course I will be very pleased to once again be able to HEAL! (I really had no idea before Maliss Bopper how much I rely on those things. Cursed Effigy, the Tormented - at least the BQ version - was not nearly this much of a challenge.)

Note to self - remember to replace singed mods with parched if needed for Vintage Prodigy. (Thought I'd try leaving them for at least a battle or two, just to see what happens since my Parched Baguettes are still in place.)

- you asked me to keep you posted. Tos did get her fifth win. Next will be Maskros' turn. Hopefully, with his higher AP and his scrolls, it will be a little easier for him.

- oh ouch! That really is awful. No wonder you're nervous about it.

That's why I always try to have 10,000 tokens available to spend at all times (and I wonder if I need to raise that given the recent cost of Aemis) just in case something amazing shows up. I try really really hard to remember to replace them right away anytime I make a purchase.

But you should be confident. You found it once and you can do it again. I like to think that my Possessed Bow is already out there waiting for me to find it at BHH. And I'm sure that yours is as well. Just make sure to keep that token bank full while you look for it. Wishing you good luck at BHH.

Cynde is pretty close to Tos stats with lots higher AP. Are you planning to fight Maliss Bopper too (or have you already finished with it)?

- thank you. I knew it was going to be difficult with low AP and only one blocking scroll - but that was a lot harder than I expected. Almost started to wonder if I was going to have to stop at four.

I've spun up another server, , so hopefully, the lag is okay. Right at midnight is when a lot of our cron runs etc so it's a bit of a hiccup while all these people are on <3 I'm keeping an eye on it

yeah, my scroll situation is not ideal for battles with no freezing - it's two-thirds perilous whirlpools, haha. i had to buy negating pylonics to get my fifth win against the bopper, so i think i'll be stopping there too. it's just as well, since now we have all the pirates to deal with!

Felt like my heart was going to explode during those battles. He's got as much strength as Para. BWB! Fortunately awful speed, so I could crit and quadruple chit for upwards of 10k damage on some turns. Those Void scrolls are paying off major dividends now. Not sure I want to try for 10 wins haha... but I did it on Para. BWB so I may as well aim for the glory, yeah?

EDIT: Major thanks to Amber and the battle staff for giving us the Pirates as opponents, its the one thing I truly wanted out of this holiday and I am so, so happy right now to be fighting them.
