, thank you sooo much for the damage counter and all the work you have put into this. Thank you, thank you, thank you. ^_^ ❤
Could you please test this now? I attempted a fix to make it a fixed height + scrolling.

Fixed height is good. I think the only thing still jerking the move turn button around is when you get frozen, and your weapons get deselected, that jumps it.
Then the other thing that jumps it is when both of your weapons have very short names, or when one has a very long name.

would it be possible (since you're working on the weapon box from what my brain understand just waking up) to make the scroll box a bit larger so I can see the name of the third scroll without scrolling?
Since several scrolls I use in a row are the same color, I need to keep scrolling to see that I don't use one I'm not intending to because I don't see the name :P
Well I mean... how much is "a bit larger" ?
Several users have brought up the issue of only seeing a tiny portion of your scrolls at once. I agree it's an real issue, but I'm still working on a solution. I'm hoping to have something for this done by the next iteration of the layout.

You know what I was thinking... and I'm gonna event everyone for this cuz I want to ask for opinions on this idea.
For weapons and potions, the images can be very important for people because they're all unique. But with scrolls, the image itself doesn't really matter, it's more the color that helps (for the visual aspect) and the name itself is much more important than for the weapons since different scrolls can have the same image.
So how would you guys feel if I shrunk the images for just the scrolls and added some colors to the words somehow, so that more scrolls will fit in the box? For the words, I could add a colored border, make the text itself the color of the scroll, or something else along those lines.
I will still think of ways to give these boxes more space, but I think this might be a nice change in any case, let me know what you all think of this idea :) Thanks.

Love the idea for scrolls. Like you said, it's all about color and name. Can't wait to see it.
I like the color and name only idea, the scroll icon doesn't even have to look like a shrunken scroll it could be a colored rectangle with the lighter icon for the type of scroll it is on it. I also like the colored font on the name idea, and you could skip the image entirely. But then, I think the images don't help me at all, so that is a bias for me.
I'm not against the idea, but I'm more of a visual person, and I can judge something easier by looking instead of just imagining something (especially since what thoughts and imagination are very subjective). If it were something we could see (a screen shot from a test page, a drawing or something along the lines),
However I like the idea of showing more scrolls (obviously) and since the image is simply a scroll with no defined extra, being smaller wouldn't be that bad, I think :D
[edit] Did you mean something like this this ?

Ooh, I think using color coded text instead of scroll images would be nice. I don't have a ton of scrolls, though, and I know their order very well by now, so perhaps I'm not the most demanding person in this respect. Besides, most of my list will be blue anyway :)
Oh, and one thing I'd especially appreciate is a more obvious highlighting of the selected scroll. I'm using ipad mini and stuff on my screen is pretty small (so I don't have to scroll), and it's sometimes hard to see which scroll is selected. I haven't had a chance to read through this topic, so perhaps a css already exists for that?
Something like that, exactly. I would make it so the color of each scroll is obvious, maybe more obvious than your little mockup there actually :) That's why I mentioned putting a border on the text, like a colored underline, or even changing the font color - that might decrease readability though so I intend to play around with the various things I can do to get it right.

I agree! I'll see about making the highlighted item more noticeable.
In the beginning, what it's doing now was a lot more acceptable, because items that weren't selected were grayed out. I stopped graying them out halfway through to improve visibility, so now there's not quite enough contrast between selected and deselected items. I'll see about highlighting them somehow, like maybe with a yellow or blue border (that's what I'm thinking)

I dunno, just a though.
No, we're no longer graying out anything. In order to keep the page accessible, images will remain full color and hopefully not too small :)

I'm good either way. I usually go buy name and so seeing the name in the color of the scroll would be a cool visual. Or a box around the name in the same color as the scroll would work too. When you use scrolls on the iPhone its that dropdown menu, so I have my scrolls in order of use. :)

I like this idea a lot also. Especially since I'm such a newbie battler. the color, i ithink would work for me. THUMBS UP for this idea! :D
what if the potion and spell boxes were landscape like the weapons box instead of portrait as they are currently, and sitting one above the other instead of side-by-side? if it was then possible to have it automatically shrink to just the category title (ie 'Use Scroll?' or 'Use Potion?') when there are none available to select? like a dropdown menu, but it only minimises when it's empty? for example if i had a bunch of potions then i would see all those potions in the box and it would act the same as the scroll box, but if i had no potions left it would just minimise itself because there's nothing to see there? vice versa for the scrolls. or is that too complicated? i hope that makes sense...re-reads a thousand times for gaffs for me personally, my potions box will almost always be empty because i hardly ever use them, and it seems a sad waste of space which might be able to be borrowed by other things when not in use...that's what i was thinking?
but i like the minimised scroll images idea - maybe just simplifying and using the colour+symbol on the scroll by itself would be fine.
