Hey, has anyone heard from Laurie lately? I wonder if she's doing all right...

- Hope the surgery went well and you have a speedy recovery.

- I hope Karen is doing well.

- can we be a bit more careful with the pings please. I too hope teddybearr's surgery goes well but I don't need to be pinged 8 times.

In actual pings, there was one ping to share the news, one ping quoted that may or may not have been on purpose, and one to show solidarity. If it were eight unique pings for the same thing, I can see being annoyed.

But it's rather obvious when something with the site goes wrong or wonky and multi-posts a ping post. You shouldn't be able to post multiple times in a row so it's not like anyone is doing it on purpose. The clear multiples are easy to spot and delete in your events.

Also the irony of pinging to ask people to ping less? This was an unnecessary thing to say. I apologize for the inappropriate sarcasm. Thank you, , for respectfully calling me out on my mistake.

Yes, we do have glitches that result in multiple pings ...I have noticed it happening rather frequently lately. Others may not have noticed., so it may be worth a Bug Report.

However, trying to "ping shame" someone with the irony comment isn't part of the founding spirit of Lauries Lair . Our bear was not being mean spirited and asked nicely (perhaps not knowing about the previous multiple ping issues). I think your very thorough explanation would have been sufficient...without the add-on sarcasm.

I have no doubt that Laurie would have made the additional group ping to address the situation in a nice way ~ informative, but not snarky. Personally, I come here to get away from the tit for tat personal attacks that seem to be so popular on other social media forums.

Welp, in an effort to steer away from the negativity, is anybody having trouble with Mystic Spindles? I'm not sure if this is because of region problems or just the game but whenever I wanted to start a game of MS it loads forever and when it FINALLY loads it says my game is paused (I never saved/had a game going) and there's the resume game button.. I tried clicking on the resume game button but nothing happens.. I remember the game working while I was here in China... I have to believe it's the game itself?

I take it this is the new lair for us bears

I am back i Looked back and it was February when i was last on here trying to catch up got a couple of achievements try to get some more like the one for the flowers at the memorial managed to get a couple of the flowers to lay

No ill health had 4 bad heart attacks in March the the really bad one in April they were caused by the Cancer meds i was taking been battling cancer 2010

Just wanted to give y'all an update on my sister Karen. I've been at the hospital with her pretty much all of Wed, Thursday. They ended up not giving her the TIPS because of her kidneys being wonky. They gave her meds for that and they are now much better but not to the point where they are ready to give her the TIPS yet. They have given her blood and did an EGD yesterday to see if they could find out where she is bleeding from but didn't see anything but one spot on her stomach that they burned off. It didn't seem to be big enough to be causing the problem. She has been having some severe back pain that they are managing with morphine but they do not know what is causing it. The docs say it isn't because of her kidneys. Anyways... the docs are all meeting again at 9 this morning to discuss where they go from here in her treatment and when they are going to reschedule her TIPS. They may let her come home today or tomorrow. I am at home waiting for the next thing before I go back up there. My house is a mess and I have a mountain of laundry to plow through. My mom has been acting up because I haven't been here so I need to get her calmed back down. Next up on Karen's list is the Endicrinoligist. She put a monitor on Karen's arm this past Monday and will be checking it this Monday. They are looking into giving her an insulin pump for her diabetes as she has to give herself about 6 shots a day now. We'll get that decision in about another week. Continued prayers please.

Well Hello dear girl! I missed you greatly and worried about you. So grateful that you came for a visit. Thanks for the update on your sister! I was worrying about her TIPS procedure.
