associates Cussler->Pitt, looks Austin up all confused Dude sounds every bit as over the top as Pitt, yet mysteriously the Wikia doesn't say whether or not he's a SEAL. How can he be all maximally macho all the time always and not be a SEAL? I guess it really has been that long since I've read one of Cussler's books.

Right now I am catching up on my Grimes and Grafton.

I can't fall asleep without reading, but conversely, I can't read without falling asleep! Gack! I get loads of fee books online and buy the audio version every so often to rad to me while driving somewhere. Loads of fun.

well yes, exactly. mentioned Kurt Austin in relation to the author Clive Cussler. Mr. Cussler writes tons of books but they're all about this one supermacho dewd Marty Stu guy, Dirk Pitt. Obsesively, Ridiculously, the author making Pitt have more skillz and professional permissions and associations than one could possibly achieve in a lifetime on the level of Conan the Barbarian. (I'm not saying the stories aren't fun)

Kurt Austin is a new fictional person, to me. I had to look him up because the idea that Cussler would write about anyone else seemed odd to me so I was thinking our little otter was writing something oddly.

So we get a call about 3:45 today and the Doc wants to admit Karen into the hospital tomorrow morning. Her blood tests came back and her creatine levels were off. They want to do some IV's and such to get her ready for the procedure Thursday morning. Worried that it will be too hard on her kidneys if they don't. HOpefully they will give her some blood as well.. I'm gonna be scarce until the weekend. Please keep praying for my sister Karen and myself. Gonna be a rough few days. Thanks for all y'all's prayers so far.

This is such a hard thing for both of you. My heart goes out with prayer and hope for this procedure to go smoothly and that Karen gets all the medical support to help her be where she needs to be for this.

Thank y'all for your continued prayers. They gave Karen 2 vials of meds and are giving her blood today. If her creatin levels don't go down they won't perform the TIPS in the morning. It's absolutely necessary so praying that all goes well today and tonight so she can get the procedure in the morning.
