Seagulls are a menace. Used to live near the gulf coast of Texas and went to the beach all the time. They will attack if you have food.

So true, one side of Boston Harbor is just down the street from me and if you want to sit to watch the sailboats they will almost chase you for any morsel of food you might have with you to snack on.

Just to keep everyone updated, my surgery is this Thursday. Today is my last day of work for an as yet undetermined length of time and it's making me a bit anxious just thinking about that. I could be out for six weeks (at minimum) or I could be out for three months. It all depends on speed of recovery. Once I'm released to drive, I can at least go back to my seasonal job and join my team for the last few shows but I have to be released for physical labor before I can go back to my day job. I'll update you all again once everything's said and done and the inevitable anesthesia hangover has worn off.

oh bears. what a month. was my birthday not long ago. and thank you all for the wishes and gifts. you made a crap day lots better. my hubby has decided to up and quit his job with out so much as checking with me or at least consulting with me first. it was an uncomfortable situation BUT that doesnt me i shouldnt at least be checked with first. so now we have no money and wont have until 3 weeks. i am running on fumes. i am so frustrated and mad and hhurt. and he seems like he doesnt notice or care. i am tring to be a supportive wife. but i am running on fumes... thanks for letting me rant.

Very sorry that your husband is a selfish man that thinks his opinion is the only one that matters and doesn't seem to care how his actions affect those he claims to love. Hope things improve, must say you are a better woman than I am as I could not be supportive to someone that doesn't include me in the equation.

I am finally awake enough to post and let y’all know the surgery went fine. Easy-peasy, no complications. I was coherent just about off the bat in post-op so I didn’t stay more than 10-15 minutes before they decided I was good to go. Checked in at 6:30 and back in the car by 9:30. Been too drowsy to do anything but doze and eat a bit until about an hour ago but now I'm alert mom's decided i'm steady enough on my own for her to feel safe just letting grandma help me as needed.

Anyway, that’s it. Thank you for your prayers and well wishes. I'm now surrounded by cuddly critters, slowly getting feeling back in my arm, and enjoying a cup of coffee while I grumble about learning to be left-handed. Cheers!
