Thank you so much. You are so sweet.
This week has been a little overwhelming. I have 4 weeks of work to catch up on, and my first day back, my boss informs me that she is going on her vacation this week, So, not only do I have to play catch up this coming week, but I have to play Program Manager. This is going to be interesting. Or a disaster. LMAO.... HEHEHE
Thank you so much dear for putting my name in that giveaway. Its closed now, so I missed it, but I feel so special that you guys always think about me,
Thank you dear, and yes I am slowly getting back into my routine. It will take a while to catch up, and I do still have a few limitations, per the doctor. But I will be back to 100% soon enough.
Being back at work has done wonders. Even though it is a little overwhelming, because my office is a very fast-paced and multi-tasking kind of place, it feels good to be doing something. I will be fine.
Thank you all for being so supportive. <3

Give your self a few days you will be back in the groove.
Bears I wont be on much until the 17th of JUly. Meanwhile love and take care of each other here and in RL.
Boss , good to hear from you and glad you are well though I worry about you overdoing it with your boss gone. Take it easy still, surgeries take longer to heal then you think.
I have some important news. My Author Mark, just retired from teaching Science at a local school district. He had 28 years teaching.
What most of his teacher friends didn't know was that during the first 25 years of teaching Mark also worked concurrently as a Respiratory Therapist on the weekends and all holidays. He retired from RT three years ago after 34 years.
Mark and Francine plan to relax, become more active in their church and take little trips to the coast. Mark would like to continue writing, making music, drawing and perhaps making musical instruments like ukuleles, mandolins and guitars. (can you say pipe dream?) I just hopes he does more fishing and takes me along.
We are having beef ribs, potato salad, corn, salad, baked beans, ale, tequila (!!) and fresh-made whole-fruit popsicles tonight for the 4th. The neighbors will provide the fireworks while we swim in the cement pond. (still no fish in there, darn it).
Hope everyone has a safe, and Happy Fourth of July!
Congratulations on your (Author's) retirement! :D I am so happy for you (Even I knew about the Respiratory Therapy; how could the co-teachers noty?!?!?!)
- big hugs to you dear...hoping all your work catching up goes smoothly ❤ - big congrats on your author's retirement...how nice to have lots of free time...hoping it means he takes you fishing :)
hugs to all you Bears...have a safe 4th and enjoy your BBQ or whatever wonderful food you are having! I know I will.

Hope everyone had a happy fourth!
Does this happen all over the country, or does it only happen in Fresno. It is like a war zone here. We were going to go up to Bass Lake to see the big fireworks show there, but it was too hot so we stayed at my Author's house here in Fresno. At sundown all the neighbors started shooting off the fireworks that fly up into the air. It has been going on since 8:30 non-stop. The fireworks are literally in his backyard and all over the entire neighborhood. There really is no reason to go anywhere else to see quality fireworks.
I've been told they are illegal, but there are no soldiers or constables arresting humans. How can they get away with it? It's pretty, but scary at the same time.
Nice to see you!
: I will pass along your congratulations, Thank you. (You know those young teachers right out of college, heads in clouds, not really paying attention to the old guys.) : Thank you, I will tell him to relax. We've already been to Shaver Lake and Dinkey Creek in his car. I'm hoping to fish in the ocean soon. : Yes it must be great to be retired. He's a little nervous about it and talking about getting a part time job teaching at a local Jr. College. I just hope he takes it easy though and writes.
The fireworks continued until 2:00 AM when the last barrage of 5 BIG aerial shells burst went off right in the backyard and woke us all up. Whew!
He just needs to really dedicate himself to some hobbies and such for a while and see how he settles in. If he starts going stir crazy, then a part-time job might be worth some consideration. We have a few retirees working in the bakery, doing simple packaging and customer service and such two or three days a week just to stay active and get out of the house.
Just a quick update. My shoulder surgery is scheduled for the 19th and the day just can't get here quickly enough. To make matters worse, my dad has to go in the week before and get pretty much the exact same surgery, the only difference being which tendon needs fixing. My poor mom is going to be exhausted from having to drive the two of us around. Luckily a few of my friends have volunteered to help me out whenever they can.
In more exciting news, my pup got his wheels earlier this week! He was terrified of them the first day but the second time we tried them he actually tried them out a little bit and got the hang of them pretty quickly. We're going to be gradually increasing the amount of time he spends in them and the amount of space he has to roam. I just hope the weather cools off by the time he's ready to venture outside.
Wishing you and your father an easy recuperation from these surgeries.
