My daughter said to me that she would have done it when she got home from work, but I was hot and sweaty and gross, lol. I did a quick wash, but it always dorks it up.

Yeah, oddly my migraines start in my muscles. No one seems to be able to really help, God knows I've spent enough money over the years and tried a boat load of meds. I do have a more moderate pain killer (docs are leery of prescribing them these days) that has eased the severity of my migraines to a level where I don't want to slam my head against a wall... but it's been decades and it's tiring. Good thing I can still laugh about it all. :)

RIP Mom, I love & miss you more than you know. Tell Dede hi.

- a sense of humor always helps no matter what but it's so hard and exhausting when pain is long term. Wish I could do more than just sympathize. Please take care. Hopefully, some new medical breakthrough will turn out to be helpful.

- I guess we've just seen yet another proof that anything is possible. :-)

I suffered migraines for a long time. A chiropractor did wonders. Go see one if you haven't already and have no objection.

I'll second (and double) that! I still can not figure out how she kept it all straight.

Me neither - aren't teammates wonderful?

- laughing is often the best thing you can do, and just makes life so much better in so many ways. Please continue to stay hopeful and know that I'm around if you want to talk (or if you want to take some time out to complain - sometimes that helps too - at least in measured doses).

Idk if I brought this up before but my brother used to majorly suffer from migraines and then his doc checked his nose and found he had a deciated septum that caused it all. He didnt believe at first that surgery to correct it would do anything but he has had only one migraine since (from food sensetivity or overheated idr) and its been 7 or so years.

Totally look in to it if you havent! It changed his life :)

Thanks, I have had it checked out. Sadly my migraines are now caused by the problems with my shoulders/shoulder blade muscles. They (the migraines) aren't as horrific as they used to be but I'm pretty much in pain and headachy all day every day.

I've tried so many meds over the years and so many different treatments, but no one has been able to come up with something that works for my particular weird ass body. I keep hoping though, and keep on laughing. :)

hugs I hope you're doing well, and I'm so happy for your brother. :)

Ohman that sucks, I was so hopeful! I know even docs seem to forget how much the nose relates to that. Im still amazed by his outcome and hope it lasts haha!

I sooo feel that shoulder/neck stuff. Thats the only time I get headaches also. Darn my doing art for so long that has me leaning weird. I also feel the dumb body and meds not working issue as well. Its so annoying when your body decides to either get uncommon side effects or just not be helped by the most commonly prescribed! Ughugh.

I hope you can at least find something, even if just sleep and dark rooms, that helps a bit. If only we could just be free of ailments that are debilitating, but I guess its also part of who we are.

I am well! Better than usual recently. For once a change of prescription actually worked straight on, so I guess it isnt always bad in terms of things working.

Also thank you so much for cheering us all on! Sometimes I get so overwhelmed irl I dont feel like working hard. But I see you and GR and it inspires me to do my best :)

I hope it lasts for him too. Migraines suck.

Yeah, my pain starts about 1/3 of the way down the back of my skull, down both sides of my neck and then the muscles from the top of my shoulders down along the shoulders blades and out to the sides.

I have all these really tender spots. I've tried physical therapy and now the injections again. Maybe someday there will be a combo that finally works. :)

I'm glad you're doing better and that your prescription is working. That's awesome!

I'm happy to be even a small part of this wonderful group. I love seeing all of the creativity that starts with GR and involves everyone else too. You guys rock.

Take care and have a beautiful day! :)

- I'm sure you've both probably already done this, but it can be worth finding an expert or even two in the field. I've been lucky enough never to have a migraine, but I used to cough for months every time I got a cold. It upset coworkers who had to listen to me and who were concerned that I was contagious. I tried doctor after doctor and they all basically said, why are you bothering me about this. Then a doctor in my family recommended someone and that doctor had me tested for asthma - sure enough I have mild adult onset asthma. Since I've had an inhaler - no more months of coughing. Sometimes an expert will know something that all those other doctors don't - or a really good doctor will just listen and figure things out when others dismiss you. There aren't answers for everything (unfortunately) but it can help. And if a migraine expert can't help, I would consider a shoulder expert too. Meanwhile, I am glad to hear that has found something that helps (and so pleased for her brother) and am hoping to hear that does as well. It makes me sad to think of such nice people in pain every day. That just shouldn't be (sigh). Thinking of you both and sending many hugs.

Been to many specialists over the decades. Neurologists, orthos, chiros, physical therapy more than once and pain center also more than once, etc.

It's been darn expensive for sure.

Hope you're having a wonderful Sunday!

Off to watch TV for a bit. :)
