I have my glasses (the real ones) and plan to be ready. It is about 130 or so here when at the 94%. You stay safe also! Protect the eyes.

I do think there should be an upper limit of 1000 points, or something around there, earnable for HA's that win. Mostly because if all 5 players on a team win that means they would gain 2,500 extra points that maybe one team only managed to earn 1 or 0 -- even though their HA's were exemplary. Let's face it, we are trying to make an HA that is not good for us but that the judges think is great.

For a very simplified example, not everyone likes the color pink, and if all the judges hate pink then no HA with the color pink would win. Keep in mind this is a very rudimentary example that lacks complexity that goes into judging.

Anyways, I am speaking up for people whose feelings are hurt, as I do not care either which way -- my feelings are not hurt. Playing devil's advocate here. I know everybody tries their hardest and it's supposed to be just a fun game. I'm not sure what all the drama is about.

There is an upper limit. and always has been. It is two HAs per team for an "ordinary" challenge and three for an intensive one or chapter, such as Chapter 5 proved to be. Numeric values change with the challenge as appropriate.

Also, and I say this in the calmest manner since I am anything but calm about this: our judges are not now, nor ever have been, so petty as to "mark down" any HA for wearing a color they don't like, or any similar nonsense! They are not that immature!

What do they look for? It's quite easy and has been presented in detail several times before. They look for creativity in design, adherence to theme, use of accessories, overall coordination, finishing touches, etc. It's a much broader spectrum than you give credit for.

Obviously, your opinion of their fairness and professionalism is quite low. You are of course entitled to your opinion, but you couldn't be more wrong.

I'm sorry if feelings are hurt, but someone takes exception to every puzzle, every challenge, and every set of scores. My smail overflows on a regular basis. As their spokeswoman and advocate, you are going to be quite busy. Good luck with your task.

I do feel.. just my opinion but feel if there is a complaint please be specific on who and for what. I don't wish to be added to some group I didn't intend nor wish to be added to.

My opinion? This is a great group of people and I feel lucky to have met every one of you! attempts to help the poor person that keeps being shoved down the hill ;)

People steal HA ideas? Or people think that people steal HA ideas? I mean...people is the man deciding factor I guess but I've never even thought to do that haha.

But also, I know you and your judges are as fair as y'all can be, and I'll never understand the complaining that goes on over things that are supposed to be fun. We're having fun. If you're not having fun, this isn't the game for you honestly.

well as a team that had one person edit there HA after first submission because of wardrobe malfunction... even though she had submitted it in time, she changed one thing to be more in line with the rest of the group. So I know its not us they are talking about.. But really people stealing HA ideas that is craziness that we wouldnt even of thought of. We worked as a group and had one person come up with our background that all of us used and worked around designing our own but staying to theme we worked...

Wooow. I didn't know people weren't only trying to steal aspects of another teams' HAs but also bashing the judges for stuff. :( Not cool guys, not cool.

This is suppose to be something that is a lot of fun, not to be mean to each other. (There is too much of that on Subeta as is.) and gang our trying to make this amazing for us and I highly doubt we are making it fun for them to keep doing it when we argue and complain all the time.

I've got great teammates, is why. ^.^ Actually I wasn't saying it for my own team, nor based on who was where. It's not even related to how long I spent on that particular avatar -- finding a good shrubby background that I liked was a pain, but I'm picky and a perfectionist. I'm not putting down you or the judges, just saying how I felt. I don't think I even particularly expected you to change anything.

...Which begs the question of why I even bothered saying it. x.x I think I just like complaining, and have trouble keeping my big mouth shut. snugs

I have to say, I would hope the Squirrels would be above cheating. Yes, you can do so. There's any number of different ways to do it. In this particular case, though, with HAs...I learned so much about how to make them from watching other people. I agree, it's not at all sportsmanlike to do it with something someone /just/ used, if you didn't find it yourself. But in general, I pick up ideas from things I've seen in the past all the time. Like layering eyes and mouths! I didn't even think of that until I found people around the forums wearing multiple ones and holy cow you can do so much with them when you use more than one! flailing

Oh, no!! biggest sad worried face I think you misinterpreted my words, and I apologize greatly for that! I do not think the judges would do those things at all. I was simply stating what I had heard from other individuals.

My only personal question and confusion was that I did not know about the upper limit, which I actually like. Thank you for explaining that one.

I apologize again for causing upset over the judging and such. I really was trying to voice opinions and thoughts of others in a way to just get it out there. Perhaps in the future I will just let the other people tell their own opinions and thoughts and leave playing devil's advocate up to someone else. I strongly dislike conflict and have never disagreed with the judges rulings or thoughts in all the years I have played. I have always been confused by all the drama surrounding the judging and random things people create drama over.

Oh, I just feel so extremely horrible that you misinterpreted what I said. I am so sorry. :( Please do know that I have the utmost respect for the judges and everyone involved - I know could never do what they do.

I assume ours is one of the problem submissions. ^^; We went from no backgrounds, one missing person, and myself being shoeless to a full team complete with background and shoes. Honestly, the wardrobe going down was a saving grace for us because life happened for some of our members, (life off subeta comes first :3 ). We were prepared to submit bare minimum and be penalized for it, but since we had extra time, we took advantage of what was given to us. Our missing person got their HA set. As a group, we took a vote on a few background(s) to use (some of us had already prepared two submissions before hand just in case we had a chance to synch up our ideas), and I got my brown suede shoes. As for stealing, someone stole ideas? Everyone's submission looks unique to me. Are we talking about a stage lamp, or am I dull minded that I can't see the intricate similarities?
