Merlin heard ice cream and quickly exploded. "COCONUT! CHOCOLATE! STRAWBERRY!" He grins. "Those are my three favorites, in order of like."

[img align=left]https://sapi.subeta.net/shared/198310.png[/img] Poppy was occupied learning how to make gelato from Karysa and Marcello Porto in the kitchen. She had gotten up very early and had been around to all the stops on the tour, making sure that Gaia had what she needed at Las Palmas and that everyone else was in good shape to host the event. Hopefully everyone had enjoyed themselves. It would be interesting to see who the outing had brought to the all-wizarding village from Hogwarts.

After getting the go-ahead from the Portos, Poppy went into their private party room. She draped a large silvery tablecloth over an oval table and made sure there were enough chairs for everyone to sit together. Then she went to see that the buffet table next to it was well stocked with gelato, waffle cones, cups, spoons, scoops, and napkins. The poster behind it read:

"Gelato comes from the Italian word for "frozen." It begins with a custard-like base, but contains a larger proportion of milk and a smaller proportion of cream than traditional ice cream. Ice cream is also made with egg, which is omitted in some gelatos. Gelato is churned very slowly, incorporating less air and creating a product that is denser than ice cream."

She went back into the kitchen to hang out with Karysa and help set up the restaurant for the dinner rush.

The private room was decorated for a party. The balloons floated in mid air as a banner came in and out of focus displaying the words Happy Birthday Eros, then changing the name to Niall, Paddy, and Rosie, and back around in an endless loop.

Streamers hung lazily around from the chandelier in the center of the room while others connected the walls to the chandelier making the room seem more festive. The chairs where decorated as well. It would seem the Portos got wind of the birthdays that happened recently. They seemed to have gone all out since there was an ice cream cone shaped piñata hovering in the far right corner of the room. The most impressive part were the sparklers and fire works around the room going off and starting again making the room bright with colors. The music might be helping set the mood since there was enough space for a small dance floor.

Magnus pointed to the peacock quills that Paddy was looking at. "She's over there," he said, thankful to be able to ignore the other question.

Niall didn't answer the ice cream question but he noticed neither did Magnus.

When they got into the last stop, Magnus almost dropped his jaw. He knew Gaia was making arrangements but they did a fantastic job. He snickered and wondered if Eros would be put out after he realised that was why he'd disappeared most of the day. "Great Job!"

Niall almost turned as red as his hair when he saw his name on the banner too.

If I don't see you there, this is totally the last time I'm hanging out with you," he alerted her with a grin before exiting the shop to make his way to their final destination. As he arrived in the private room, he saw some of the students looking up at a banner. His eyes widened a bit and his lips parted as he read it. Happy Birthday Niall....Paddy...Rosie...Eros. It continued to rotate through the names.

He suddenly realized why Gaia had disappeared so much.

She tols Eros as she stood next to him smiling. "Hope you aren't mad at me." She was blushing and for what seemed to be forever she didn't know what to say. ()

"I didn't know you were setting this up," he looked at , not sure what to say. "Thank you," he smiled at her. Eros didn't care much about having a celebration, but he definitely appreciated the effort Gaia put in. Plus, it was also for a few other classmates. Eros went to set his things down at a table before surveying the ice cream options.

Paddy was lost in her own little world, looking at the quills when Niall suddenly gave her a stunning scarlet quill. "You didn't have to give me anything," she said with a grin, "but you definitely picked the best looking quill in the entire shop, thank you!" As the conversation in the group turned to Quidditch, Paddy browsed through the store, stopping to look at some Peacock quills that were on the shelf. It wasn't that she didn't like Quidditch, more than she still was a novice when it came to the game, and most of the conversation tended to go over her head. She heard someone say her name, and looked up to find Marcello heading over towards her. "Hi," she said, trying to think of something sensible to say, but finding her mind had gone totally blank.

She was talking more to herself as she was going through her to-do list mentally to not forget anything. "I think I want some hot fudge and a waffle bowl." Gaia finally realized she was hungry from missing most of the tour. ()

I have been waiting to see you for weeks and now I see you and can't even pretend to be cool." He rolled his eyes and laughed. He took Paddy's hand and kissed it. "How are you? He had a twinkle in his eye. He had missed Paddy and didn't want to let go of her hand but he was afraid it was awkward so he let her go gently. "Are you ready for some ice cream?

Paddy jumped as Marcello yelled 'hi'. She shook his hand, wondering if he was always that formal with people. Hang on a minute, did he say he'd been waiting to see her for weeks? "Did I really make that much of an impression on you the last time I came to Hogsmeade?" she asked, suddenly taken aback as he kissed her hand.

[Color=teal] "well of course. I had fun with you last time. I thought you knew that." He wasn't sure if he did something wrong but he was suddenly interested in something on the ground. "I'm sorry if that was weird. I knew there would be another trip for a few weeks and hoped I would see you again." He took a few steps back "I think we should go. Your group is leaving and I am helping Gaia host." He ran his hand through his hair. He had messed up somewhere and felt Paddy thought he was weird.[/color]

"I just guessed that you'd be keen to see everyone, not just me in particular," she said, feeling a little embarrassed as his attitude seemed to change rapidly. She had a strange feeling that she was always saying the wrong thing around Marcello, but she couldn't figure out why.

[Color=teal]Marcello smiled "you know... I don't usually find people interesting. Are you ready to go?" He was kind to her for some reason Paddy made him want to talk and have fun. [/color]

Paddy smiled again, as much as she felt clumsy and awkward around Marcello, she would admit he was interesting to talk to - or at least listen to, seeing as she didn't seem to do much talking. "Yep, I'm ready," she said, carefully putting the quill Niall had given her into her bag so it wouldn't get lost. "I wouldn't want to miss out on ice cream."

Rosie followed the group to the gelato shop. She entered the shop with a big smile and when they entered the party room her eyes visibly sparkled. She stared at the banner with the happy birthday message. When she spotted her name she almost teared up from happiness. She grinned at the fun and messy atmosphere enjoying the pretty sparkling fireworks. Rosie walked to the gelato display and scooped hazelnut and tiramisu on her cone. She grabbed a napkin and quickly sat down with her ice cream. She tasted the ice cream and moaned softly in delight.

Merlin was super excited when they reached the final destination, not only Niall, Eros, Rosie, and Paddy were getting a birthday celebration - which was wonderful- but there was... "ICE CREAM!" Merlin yelled with excitement, his eyes turned into hearts. "At last!" He looked at niall. "Happy birthday little buddy!" He ruffled his hair and smiled at the look of his red face that matched his hair. "Does that mean you want strawberry gelato? You are so red." He giggles. "I want every flavor. MMM."
