Eirik listened to the conversation around him while enjoying yet another cup of tea. Fable and Merlin made good points about the whole dragon/dragon hide situation. He watched the exchange between Ariette and Anne over the little snake that seemed somehow cheeky.
He did stiffen when the vampiress began to speak about the Elders, then quickly changed her mind. He still was not pleased with her being around, but...tolerance. He couldn't preach about tolerance if he couldn't even get along with his own kind. He sighed quietly, and sipped his tea.

She smiled tiredly at Ariette. "I know any sort of mistreatment of any persons is an uncomfortable subject. I believe thats what some of our future politicians are hoping to remedy as well as help inform the ignorant. Its quite of a...touchy subect of course...which again was mentioned as not many in the government have done much to remedy said on going problems."

Eirik yawned, then stretched as best he could, considering he had a sleeping cat on his lap. "I agree," he said to Fable. " Things that are uncomfortable to speak about are generally the things that need reform."
He stood up carefully, and shifted his cat into a carrying position.
"Well everyone, I think it's time for me to take my cats and corpse off to bed. I bid you all a good evening, and I look forward to another Council meeting in the very near future." He smiled warmly at them, and took an extra long gaze at Fable. "Good night then."
Eirik made his way into the dorm, and since he didn't see Kiki he assumed she would be asleep on his bed or in her heated bed. She was in the middle of his bed, and he set Murdy down at the end of it.
He took his toiletries kit and flask with him into the bathroom. Once there, he drank until he was close to being bloated from his flask, then brushed his teeth and washed his face. He stared at his pale face in the mirror, pensive. That face had seen better days, he determined.
He sighed, then picked up his things, and headed back to his bed, very ready for sleep. He put away his bag, and placed his flask under his pillow. He then tended to his cats, and then crawled into bed. He made sure his canopy curtains were closely drawn shut, turned on the thunderstorm from his mp3 player, and tucked the speaker right next to his pillow, so as to not disturb any of his dorm mates. He lifted the blankets so Kiki could take her sleeping place next to him, and felt Murdy settle into his spot next to his pillow.
Within moments, he was fast asleep.
((OOC off to bed :) ))

Seeing Eirick go she realized she was exhausted too and classes were starting.
"I think he has the right idea...I think Im going to head off to bed as well guys. I would love to do this again." She smiled friendly at them, stood up, and went to the girls dorm.
Once in the dorm room she started her before bed routine. She did her before bed yoga, played a wind down game on a portable player, then listened to her normal sleep meditation which went to comforting nature sounds. It wasnt long before she was out.

"The family has a Greek origin, as far as I know. Though we came to England a long time ago, and the surname changed to something less noticeable." So they could blend in. They were persecuted. Giving our history, I have my doubts it was undeserved. “We kept the custom of Greek first names, though. Or names of precious stones.” He tried to gloss over the subject as fast as he could. As little information he gave them about where he came from, the better.
"No... I never traveled out of Britain..." Kyros was uncomfortable. He tried to hide it, focusing on the images of the beautiful snakes from his memory. They all seemed so sad. But weren’t we all? "My family owned a Menagerie of magical animals... That's why I'm familiar with those species. But you’re right, most of them aren’t local.” “Isn’t it? I wonder if they were this irresponsible. Though I do hope there is no other giant monster roaming the school beneath our feet…” His voice took a dark tone, and then he chuckled.
He scratched his head slightly at Merlin’s suggestion for them to go to Magical Law. “Not sure if I want to go down Magical Law… I’m keeping my options, see. Since we’re at school, it’s better to learn a bit of everything. Though you seem quite focused on helping dragons, right?”
Kyros smirked at Fable, raising an eyebrow at her while asking innocently. “Be concerned? Why? Did you two already exchanged rings while I was at the shower? That was fast.” Two can play the teasing game, dear, and I’m a master at it… He turned to the cat on his lap, talking to him as if telling an interesting tidbit of gossip. “Did you hear that? Auntie chose her suitor at the first day of term. You’re going to have two big cousins!”
“I’m Kyros Riven. The pleasure is mine to be in such distinct company.” And distinct she was, with the accent, the clothes and the vampire-ness. He wondered what Eirik thought of that – he didn’t seem to like the woman so much. Turning on his charm, he smiled at her and her rather large companion, discreetly hiding Dante a little with his sweater. “That’s a beautiful friend you have there. Is he magical?”
“Already leaving? Okay, then. Good night.” He greeted both Fable and Eirik, waving as they went to their respective dorms. “You know, I think we should all go to sleep soon. It’s late, everyone has class tomorrow, and we can meet here afterwards and chat about our first impressions. What do you folks think?” The boy thought it was a good proposal given that his cat was already fast asleep on his lap, and he could feel sleep catching up to him slowly. My dark circles are bad enough without my five daily hours of sleep.
Once having said goodbye to everybody and headed downstairs to the male room, Kyros carefully placed Dante on his bed near the pillow. He headed up to the bathroom, brushed his teeth and washed his face, blinking slowly. He was tired. Such a long day… Full of emotions… He looked at the marks on his neck, wondering what sister would say about that. He had to write her a letter soon, telling her he was okay. So far, nobody seemed to know who they were, and that was the best possible scenario. Sighing, he dragged himself back to bed, closing the curtains and pulling his blanket over his head. There heaters amongst the covers, and he slowly drowsed off while mentally thanking the House-Elves.
About four hours later, Kyros awoke to soft paws on his face again. His whole body was tense, breathing heavy, covers messy, as if he struggled during his sleep. Another nightmare, I see. His cat was meowning worried at him, and he pulled Dante closer, stroking the dark fur while trying to lull himself back to sleep again. He managed two short naps before deciding he definitely would not fall asleep again tonight, and dragged himself to the bathroom for his morning routine. After a nice shower and brushed teeth, he felt strong enough to go to the library fetch the books he was interested in, about vampires, werewolves and dragons. He hoped the Common Room was empty, and he’d have time for a quick reading before everybody started coming down for breakfast.

(OOC: Gosh, You folks write fast lol)

( ) ((OOC yes, yes we do write fast !!))

(Pre bed convo)
Eirik listened to Kyros discuss, or not really discuss, his family's heritage. " I can understand that, changing your surname when coming to another country, it happens quite commonly, " he said with a small smile. "At least my guess was correct that there is some Greek in your history. Perhaps that is why you are such a charmer," he said with a playful wink.
Eirik blushed when Kyros asked Fable about 'the two of them exchanging rings while he was in the shower.' Suffice it to say he would have if circumstances were different, like if they were older, out of school, and there was a chance in hell she would say yes.
Eirik awoke with a start. He heard a cat meowing as if it was in some sort of distress, and if anything could wake him out of his slumber, that was it. He sat upright, determining the direction of the sound, and silently got out bed, his eyes instantly adjusting to the darkness.
He made his way toward the cat, who was inside a curtained bed. He recalled this was Kyros bed. After a moment it began to purr and sound content again. Eirik could hear it being petted, and he relaxed. He made his way silently back to his bed, and crawled back in, snuggling with his own kitties. He was soon fast asleep again.

Elizabeth was actually too tired to notice Kyros feeling uncomfortable. "Huh, that sounds interesting. ", she replied as he mentioned the Magical Menagerie, imagining what it must be like to have so many excotic magical animals around. Finishing her tea, she stood up and followed Fable. It was pretty late already and she wanted to be well rested for the next day. "I'm going to bed as well. It was surely a nice evening. Good night", she said, waved slightly to the remaining students at the table before she entered the girls dorm. A fluffy ball of orange fur was curled up on her bed and she smiled at the sight of her cat, Vincent. Taking some sleep clothes from the small wardrobe, Elizabeth went into the bathroom to change and brush her teeth. Finally, after combing her hair, she left the bathroom to go back into the dormitory. She noticed that Fable was listening some music and thought to not disturb her, so she went to bed as well. Listening to the sounds of the water of the lake lapping against the windows, she fell asleep soon.
She awoke as the sun was touching the lake, shining through the water so the dormitory was aflame in a strange light. Her cat sitting next to her on the pillow and demanding eyes, Elizabeth knew it was time to get up. Vincent started to meow to she quickly fed him to not wake anyone else up. While her cat was eating, she took her uniform and went into the bathroom for the usual morning-routine.
She was excited what the new day would bring. Noticing that Vincent had finished his meal, she cleaned his bowl with a charm and then headed over to the common room. Vincent had followed her and started to explore the room. The remains of the Council had been tidied up, obviously by house elves.
She heard paper rustle and took a closer look, realizing that Kyros was there; reading.
"Good morning, Kyros", she said and smiled, "so you're an early bird as well?"
(OOC; feeling a bit worn out today as I only slept 4 hours in the past 2 days so I'm heading back to bed soon. :'D the things one does for university...)
Fable blinked at what Kyros said regarding rings then looked at Eirick. She then reached out and 'Booped' Kyros nose. "Your a cheeky little crumpet, did ya know that? besides...if Eirick did give me a ring...you wouldnt be the first I told....I would tell Elizabeth first." she thought for a moment on what that muggle phrase was...she said it warily with a raised brow. "So put that in your pipe and shovel it?" She smiled thinking she had got it right.
"Tomorrow would be nice for a chit-chat, after homework though." she stuck out her tongue at that thought and wondered off to bed.
((ooc sorry if Im slow to reply...Ive been typing so much Im not getting other stuff done so Im implementing a time management thingy to help. Poppy enjoyed the summary from Kyros () and nodded at him, taking it all in. She wanted to be on good terms with her housemates, frankly because she felt she was duty-bound as a Prefect and because she couldn't bear the thought of losing to another house now that they'd finally won.
Poppy reminded herself that Merlin () was right about most of her house being rather spoiled and accepted the steaming water for her tea.
She liked Elizabeth's () kind and ladylike demeanor. Slytherin House was proving to have some good egg types despite its reputation.
"Slytherins are just naturally verbally gifted. You were very beautiful at that gala . Those furs were gorgeous." Poppy appreciated the girl's empathy and open-mindedness during the indeed heated conversation.
(OOC: This is me catching up until here.)

( and anyone else who is up and cares what is going on)

Eirik did not want to get up, but Murdy was being insistent, rubbing his head on anything he could, pawing at Eirik's face, meowing quietly mixed with purrs. He felt the warm lump by his side and knew Kiki was probably awake, but she was not insistent like Murdy was.
He groaned quietly and began to pet Murdy, who's purrs became instantly louder, mixed with kitten mews. "yes, " he said quietly, "I know you want your wet food. Alright alright, give me a minute." he reached down to pet Kiki as well, and her purrs became louder as well.
Finally sighing, he turned off his player and speaker, making a mental note to charge them. He got out of bed, and got out their can of food, put it in the clean dishes, and tossed the can into the trash. Murdy was meowing loudly now and rubbing against everything he could. He set the two dishes down and watched Murdy tuck in hungrily, while Kiki ate delicately. He never fully understood why Murdy had to eat like he was starving.
Even after checking their kibble bowls and water fountain, Eirik was still not awake. 'Maybe a shower will help,' he thought, so he gathered his shower bag and stripped down to his briefs...then trudged to the shower.
After he was finished and dried off, he dressed in his uniform, petted his cats and walked out to the common room.

Eirik saw that Kyros and Miss Elizabeth were already up and looking ready to face the day.
"morning, " he said tiredly to the two of them, as he sat down. "how are you..? Gods, I need coffee..."

She smiled at Poppy, "Thank you, theyve come a long way with faux fur and I must admit I quite enjoy it. The ears and tail however were mine...so no animal harmed?" she chuckled.
She liked Poppy as much as she liked Elizabeth. Both were calm energied and she appreciated that.
((ooc NOT TYPING MY MORNING!! No one was there so :P)

((OOC oh wow, sorry for your family emergency...take care and come back when you can hugs ))

Eirik sat in the chair, and after a few minutes his eyes got very heavy, and he drifted off to sleep. He awoke a very short time later when a kitty was rubbing against his legs. He thought that strange, and came to enough to see he was not in his bed, but sleeping in a chair.
With that he fully opened his eyes, and looked down. He reached to pet the cat that was not his, and gave a smile. Then he stood up, stretched and yawned.
"Alright you two, I cannot continue to sleep out here. I am heading down to the Great Hall for coffee and some food. Join me when you are ready, " he said with a smile and a wink. With that he made his way out of the Common Room, the door closing behind him.

(OOC: Hope everything gets better for your family, :c Take care and take your time!)

"I don't think a pipe is the better tool to shovel anything, Fable." Kyros replied in a perfectly deadpan manner, souding slightly confused as he completely missed the point in her reply. "Is that somekind of Muggle saying? I don't understand it." That said, he pouted slightly as Fable said he wouldn't be the first she would tell about the metaphorical ring. Sure, he understood that she was Elizabeth's friend first, but it made him feel a bit unwanted. "I'm not the one to say what to do with your wedding ring, or I'd be your mother." He forced a mischievous smirk, trying to look playful. "I was just joking."

Kyros was about halfway the first chapter of History of Magical Beings in Great Britain when Elizabeth appeared in the Common Room, greeting him. "Sort of. Better to say that I'm not a good sleeper, rather than a morning lover." He gave her a cheeky smile, gesturing for a seat with his wand so she could take it if she wanted to. "How are you? Slept well?"
After a few minutes, the half asleep figure of Eirik appeared from the stairway to the male dorm. "I'd think that vampires would sleep until late in the morning..." Kyros chuckled. "Good morning, Eirik. You look like you need coffee." It seemed like he did, for he fell asleep a few minutes afterwars. Kyros chucked again at the sight. "Fighting your nature is hard sometimes, isn't it?" He asked, for himself as well for Elizabeth.

(( Sending much good vibes your way! I hope everything is ok!! ))
((finishing up the before bed convo))
She looked at Kyros and smiled, "Well..yes...its a muggle statement, I think its supposed to be like saying...so take that." She nodded. "Besides, Im sure YOU know Im playing!" She made a snooty sister goofy face for him. Then raspberried.
OOC Again...Fable is not around for the morning...NO ONE KNOOOOWS WHERE SHE IS! LOL :D See you in the tent :P

She smiled back in delight at the interest towards her snarky familiar "I believe he must be so, somebody as aggravating as Cerberus could only be magical. I jest of course, I do believe he is a cobra-ashwinder mix"
Ariette bid goodnight to everyone, watching as the common room emptied. The fire died down slightly and the cool draught that ran through the common room pleased her greatly. She tucked herself in a corner pensively whilst eating her way through her hoard of blood pops. Erus hissed gently and bumped her chin softly. Carefully, without jostling the black snake too much, she cast a quick warming charm on Erus. He wound himself into a neat coil on her lap and dozed off.
Without much else to do, Ariette decided that this would be a good time to write to her sister in regards to Merlin's queries, to her family about the other Slytherin vampire, and to her contacts about the Council. Unfortunately curfew meant that she would have to brave sunrise to send off the missives. Sometime around midnight, she moved her chair in front of the window that showed the black lake and watched the night lighten slowly.
It was a bit of a surprise as the first of the early risers drifted into the common room. Slowly the silence of the night was replaced with a slowly building sleepy murmur. She nodded a good morning to Kyros and the two of them sat in companionable silence. She chuckled quietly at Eirik who collapsed into a chair and was out like a light in two seconds flat.
(OOC oooh, I hope everything will be okay :c )
Elizabeth chuckled and took the offered seat. "Doesn't sound so great", she replied, "I slept well, thanks. It's so calming with the dim light from the lake and the sounds of water at night. " It was somewhat funny to see Eirik leaving the Common Room so quickly to get, as Kyros said, coffee. "Well, at least we don't have a long way to the Great Hall. I would hate it if I had to walk down from the towers just to get coffee, tea or something else. ", she remarked, sounding amused.
"Good morning Ariette", she said, as the girl entered and smiled at her. Elizabeth was usually trying to keep in with everyone as good relationships where beneficial. Perhaps that was why people where assuming her being always so friendly.
Poppy found a handsome desk in a nook that faced a window and quickly got settled there with an Astronomy textbook, notebook, quill, and a bottle of quick-drying ink. She began reading in preparation for her lessons, pausing where there were divisions in the text to stare out the window and daydream. All sorts of underwater life was still visible despite the murky dark water. "The windows must be enchanted," she thought.

(OOC: actually Ariette's been in the common room all night, she's an extreme insomniac in that she doesn't need sleep :P )
Ariette gushed over the lake, amusingly upbeat for the early hour. Erus shifted in annoyance at the noise and grumpily tried to go back to sleep however with the hum of activity picking up, found he was unable to.
"Good Morning Signorina. The lake is beautiful at night, you can see the stars through the water. Simply, pardon the pun, magical! We don't have anything close to this in Italy."
She wondered to herself if the house-elves would be providing blood pops or other blood-related food items or if she would have to go request them.
(( ooc ok, thanks for the clarification about approval, and current day variable time is the way we will have it ;) thanks for your input !! glad to see you back ))

Sunday the 15th early afternoon
Eirik finally made his way out of the boys dorm. He was tired, it had been a long couple of weeks so far, and a new one was looming ahead. He did his normal morning routine, and for once was pleased with what he saw in the mirror.
He made his way over to a window seat, and got his tablet ready for the muggle American football game he was getting ready to watch. Other people were so into quidditch, but this was his thing. He took a quick glance around the room as he waited for the game to start, seeing if any of his friends were there. Even though his attention was going to be occupied, he was always more than willing to speak with his fellow house mates.

ooc:
So sorry ! I was clumsy on mobile and deleted your RP post accidentally, but I'm able to repost it because I thankfully had it open in another window! 😅
"Good morning, miss Ariette. Not a good sleeper either, I suppose? You were here even before I was." Kyros closed his book, pondering he wouldn't have time to read before going for breakfast and then to class. The mention of the stars in the water made him smile - he should totally try to stay awake awhile longer tonight to watch them - as did the mention to another place he was eager to meet. "Sorry if I'm being meddlesome, but how exactly are things in Italy? I'm rather curious, you see, never been there."
