I am sure you are counting the days till it is summer and vacation time again. Teachers are expected to do SO MUCH these days. I feel for you. I could never do what you do!

sorry for the continual problems. Hope things soon settle down and you learn to love your never country.

Ruts stink. We will soon have vesnali to shake things up a bit and then right back into the rut. pulling out collectibles. ick. it is never fun to have to doing something all at once!

My pluishie collection is in the same state it was when I asked for help :/ But thanks for asking!

I have also decided to "work on myself". I have made it one whole week without eating M&Ms at my desk. I know that sounds dumb but it is a hard habit to break! Someone asked my I wasn't eating them and I simply responded with "my ass". If you need any encouragement give me a yell!

Yeah, not a problem getting the items I need, just finding the motivation to get it done and tracking it to make sure I don't double buy and stuff like that. You know those event shops do stay open all year - or is it that you don't have enough of the specific currencies?

I hate moving just within a city! I can't imagine all the difficulties moving to another country. LOL I haven't even moved to another part of the same country - I still live in the community where I grew up.

I'm hungry, I'd even eat m&m's if they were sitting in front of me. I actually want a fruit, but all I have are grapefruit and they are so annoying to prepare.

You do have that thing I do not understand....the thing that causes you to forget to eat :p

How are you doing on the other achievements upgrades?

LOL that thing is laziness...hmmm hungry....hmmm it would take work to satisfy that feeling....hmmm maybe I'm not so hungry afterall, let me do this easier thing to distract me.

Well BHH is a bitch no matter how you slice it...still sitting stuck at 24, so even before the upgrade I was nowhere near.

Token shop! Shocked to discover I didn't have 500 already. I was at 489, then I managed to restock 3 things yesterday - a plushie & beanbag I didn't have and the new minion I didn't want. So it shouldn't take too long to finish. I don't expect to get 3 every time, but 2 is fairly doable, so if they keep to the schedule of restocking the TS every week, another 4 weeks.

Treasure Seeker - LOL I have 8. Never really bothered with it, just made maps occasionally when I got full sets from REs and couldn't be bothered to sell the pieces. I've got a fair bit of map pieces, except for of course. Not going to rush on this one, take my time.

I am sure that "laziness" pays off with a much slimmer waistline than I tote around.

You are so close on the token shop! And yes, you will have it in no time., They are so much better at releasing things there than they were even a year ago.

BHH well, I know you don't try there very often. Now you have an excuse to get on it!

I was pretty shocked to see how high the treasure map was up to now. The prizes aren't really any better either. They should make them more rare, higher rarity, lol. Because I say so!

I wish I was lazy when it came to getting up to get food. I am absolutely amazing at lazily eating food though. I could sit in front of the TV with a container of Oreos and not realize how many I've eaten until the container is empty...

I missed all three of the TS restocks. - I'll buy the minion off of you if you don't want it :)

That would be great. Just offer the shop price of 250 wizard tokens - I didn't buy it for profit, just to get that extra step for the achievement :) Lot .

I have a tendency to do that too. The solution (if you want one) is simple. Use a bowl or plate to serve yourself as much, or as little as you want, then precede to eat mindlessly. If, when done, you find you are still hungry, then serve a little more. The thing is you aren't eating mindlessly beyond what you actually want - you have to pause long enough to decide that you want more, or not. You might still end up eating the whole box of cookies, but because you want to, not because you weren't paying attention.

nope, not slim here. Very fat actually. Skipping meals and eating irregularly doesn't mean I eat well, or less. Mostly it means I eat worse because by the time I do get around to eating I'm so ravenous that I just grab the nearest edible item and usually end up eating too much of it. I feel way better when I eat regularly.

- I used to do that long ago, once upon a time! I need to get back to serving myself portions, especially the serving size on the package. I do so much better when I do that!

Exactly. LOL I have some good habits, but quite often they go out the window because of...some unusual event...then I fall out of the habit and it can take a long time to get back to it.

Thanks! There are too many problems and it takes time to solve them one by one..

lol I moved from city to city a lot when I was a kid and a teenager because my father worked at the military and every few years he had to move to a new base to I'm kinda used to it, it's just the technical problems and here there are too many.. it's still a developing country so it's like half western half 3rd world and then there is the gay situation which is the most difficult one..

Honestly, I feel lucky and wouldn't change my life to anything, I get to see new places and meet new people.. Just one tiring thing is to learn a new language every time.. I speak now Hebrew, English, Italian and French and I need to learn Spanish now.. my head can't take it anymore lol

Dude, it's not dumb at all! I'm working on baby steps because 1. they're more realistic; 2. they're easier to change; 3. super easier to maintain.

I'm gonna baby step my way into better health. If I tried to be like "I'm cutting out everything bad and only eating healthy and doing all this every day exercise-wise", I'd give up. It would become overwhelming and hard and I'd fail. I learned the hard way (many times), that the best method is to make small changes and try to keep those up until they're just normal routine, and then add in new ones. So giving up the M&Ms, especially when they're something that is routine and comforting at work, is awesome. I am here to cheer you on for that!

Motivation to go through it all is my issue too honestly. I have the currencies for the vast majority, I just figured if I did it during the events, I'd be more likely to sit down and go through it all and take care of it haha.

wow, that's an impressive list of languages! Visiting a place, which I've done a fair bit, is lovely, but it does nothing to actually teach you anything cultural or encourage you to learn new languages. Its great experience to have lived in a variety of places. You have a leg up in learning Spanish though - French is a great help. I grew up with both French and English, and when I took a Spanish class at university it was obvious that I had an easier time than the English only students. I'd guess that the Italian will also help.

"they" say it takes about 6 weeks for a new habit to settle in. So yeah, doing it slowly and giving a new thing time to normalize is one of the better ways to go about it.

I'm always too busy during the actual event to get it all done, that never quite works out for me. For me, when a task is looming, I try to break it down into smaller bites - but that's not always possible.

oh, and in my last response I got distracted and failed to mention BHH. I made a new years resolution to focus more on that and I've been keeping it. I've gotten kicked out of BHH nearly every day since Jan 1st. It hasn't helped. I've literally found only one thing in there even though I'm always sitting there refreshing. I haven't even gotten that frustrating shit of seeing something and clicking too late, I'm just not seeing anything at all.

Yeah, I think it's a lot more realistic than jumping in feet first and hoping I don't sink. I know that works for some people, but I'm definitely not one of them. I tend to get discouraged that way.

That's the best way too. It definitely helps to go at things one bit at a time. I often do the searches on SL based on restock location and focus on one set at a time because it's easier. I just decided the last couple events to try and do it all at once (I think I've missed things though).

Yep I do that too. It helps my motivation a lot to see 1 or 2 pages of stuff from one shop, rather than 20 pages. I figure I can actually get through 1 or 2 pages and finish! But looking at 20 pages, I just want to quit even before starting.

Italian helps more tbh because there are many words that are the same or pronounce a bit different like like there are words with the letter Z, in italian you say the z like in english but in spanish it's like s.. My problem is that English became like a 2nd mother tongue now because we speak it at home, much easier for us, and I'm thinking in both hebrew and english so I'm translating to the other languages in both and I'm making a big salad in my brain lol

My favorite thing is to discover the country's food and culture.. here in CR the food is based on beans and meat, which is nice and a lot of sea food, in Israel is not that easy to find sea food because it's not kosher, so I'm eating for all the years that I couldn't eat xD The culture here is weird, it's too USA culture.. it's like they are trying so hard not to be like the rest of latin america countries so they are imitating the USA but losing their personality on the way.. I lived it in Israel too, but we kept the Jewish traditions, for example, most of the companies and stores are named in English.. like the tv operators names are "Yes" and "Hot" if we translate it to Hebrew they would sound too weird xD

oh yeah, if you aren't thinking in a language its not going to be much help in learning another one, I wasn't really thinking in those terms.

As a person living in a country who sometimes searches for our own identity (too USian, or identifying as specifically "NOT" USian), I can understand CR desire not to be viewed as just another Latin American country. We too sometimes lose a little of who we are, but then we get it back :). I suspect CR will probably go back and forth a bit before developing a truly unique culture.

Yes you are totally right, the other problem of CR is that during the 90s and early 00s a lot of NAmericans came to live here and made a lot of changes culturally and also pushed them to build a lot of luxury houses and then the people left back to the US and the development stopped for a while and also they left them with many unfinished projects or empty houses which caused them a lot of economical problems in the country..

And hmm I must be honest, the people here are so weird that it's scary.. it's like the sun messed up with their heads or something lol And they are too religious, like too much that it's a bit psychotic.. (omg even in Italy they are not walking on their knees anymore..) and it's kinda sad because it's really a heaven but they are heavily conservatives, more than in the USA.. they need to get examples from Brazil of how to be open minded and free..

I've known quite a few religious people that still managed to be open minded and progressive. For most of them, their spirituality was directed inward, at themselves, a way to be a better person. Rather than directing the religion outward, and making a show of it, or making it a way to try to improve OTHER people.

I was raised Catholic, so I'm quite familiar with that mind set. They TALK a good game of self-improvement, but really, everything in the religion is focused outwardly. The pageantry, converting others, stifling and extremely conservative rules and regulations all aimed at increasing the power of the church - not the power of their god mind you, its the church that's all important. You can't be a "casual" catholic - which makes it really hard to break someone out of the mindset, its very much black and white, either you're a good catholic or you're excommunicated.

Yeah this is what I meant, they can be religious, I don't mind, but be open minded too, which they are not and this is why the country is still not developing well..

The catholic church is really just to admire the show, the background, nothing more, there's nothing connected to god honestly, the pope is greater than god now for example.. but well at least it's not JW.... they came to me once and talked about the Armageddon and I started to laugh because the word Armageddon is just a bad translation of the mountain Megiddo, in Hebrew it's Har Megiddo, you can actually see how similar the two words..

And it's exactly like in the Jewish world, they are worshiping the rabbis than god, spreading hate all the time to those who are not like them and not believing as they want but hiding under the "saint" masks , we have so many types of Jewish groups in Israel because of that and each and one of them hates the other.. and then there are the not religious that all of those groups hates together.. And it's only increasing the power of the rabbis and of their political parties and at this moment, they are actually too powerful that they are doing anything they want and no one can stop them..

I studied scientific biblical studies at the university so I know too many secret things :P
