It's been so hot here the past few days, we returned from our camping trip to nearly triple digit temps - in the triple digits on the heat index though :( Crazy how the weather has been this year - typically these temps don't appear until end of summer...
The girl headed back home this morning, was so good getting to spend time with her. She's set to come back in October, given everything goes as planned over the next few months. They couldn't take the husky back with them though, ground temps are over 80 and have been for a couple weeks - plus will continue to be for the foreseeable future :( I was so looking forward to getting my house back, but it'll wait.

Well... I was getting close to 300 days this time. The longest time was almost 400 days. I'm ok with it... with the move, I knew this could be a possibility. I was at my new apart taking measures a good part of yesterday. Not moved in but now have partial access (no keys but can come in since door is unlocked for workers to continue construction). I came home exhausted and went to bed early... health before subeta.

Really good one today :) Crazy busy around here this weekend, purging and cleaning because the weather has been terrible! I need it to take a break so I can get into the RV and get it cleaned out/scrubbed down/sprayed. Next weekend we're taking another short trip - haven't decided on exactly where yet though... we shall see :)

It's been a long work week. I get to relax tonight and tomorrow. Hubby was super awesome and did our laundry yesterday so I don't have to worry about it!
Hmmm ... you tossed in a Vegan book and the rift sent you back chocolate cookies. Is that vegan?
YAY, hail all laundry elves!
Excited but tired... had a wild adventure day trying to get things done for the move. Realized the postal code was incorrect so had to correct those I changed & then did several more changes of address. I checked floorplan based on new measurements I was able to take (had not been able to see laundry room or bedroom) and I am reconfiguring (again) the floorplan. The fridge has to be beside the kitchen to allow it to cool properly. It'll be beside the microwave hut at the start of the kitchen so it'll just make the kitchen bigger.
Where the fridge would have been I'll put a chest freezer. I checked my finances and although it'll be tight, I can afford one. So... I traveled over 1.5 hours to get to the appliance store only to find out they didn't have any showcase models. I did manage to get a $9 rebate. They have to order it elsewhere and hopefully, it'll arrive the day I want.
Then, I went to Ikea. It wasn't nearby... winded up walking over 40 min because the bus didn't come, got lost, had to figure out a way across a high way, traveling through fields, only to get there when they were closing. Luckily, a lot of people were still last min shopping so I snuck in pass the belt, managed to find my item (had looked up the info ahead), had a world of a time trying to get the mega heavy huge shelf into my cart... managed to pay for it.
Then, I got caught in a rainstorm... not too bad. I had to traverse more busy highways, too weak to go up a crazy amount of stairs I went further, climbed a wet grass hill and eventually got to the bus stop. Had to transfer to another bus with the mega shelf almost hitting the top, managed to get to the residence. I realized my wheels were caked with mud so I cleaned them before going up cuz I don't want to piss off the organizers... I don't know what's going on with the janitor but it seems the volunteer organizers are stuck cleaning.
I also had to get back to my old apart, whereby going up the stairs I think the landlord's daughter's boyfriend was yelling to shut up since my cart made a bit of noise going up... got home. It's to the point of harassment, lawyer, etc. I'm exhausted with it all so I decided to let some steam go by dancing and putting some good loud music while doing laundry. Thing is, I cracked the volume up for the song You Jerk by Kim Stockwood. I sang along without trying to keep tune since I'm not trying to impress anyone (although I kind of sound like a hollering cat when I'm not careful)... felt good but poor Gismo got scared, ticked off, and downright upset with me. I didn't mean to upset him... poor baby. I managed to calm him down and now he's resting in a freshly cleaned blanket.

I seem to be getting a 'trend' when it comes to the items - toss in food, get some sort of food; toss in wearables, get some sort of wearable... I'll have to do a plushie or beanbag tomorrow and see if the trend continues to those items as well...
It's been so rainy here this past week, the arthritis in my hip and spine is going into overdrive with the pain :( We were going to take a quick camping trip this weekend, but since I could hardly move, that didn't happen... hopefully the weather and my pain are both better next weekend!

I just tried wet felting for the first time and I'm pretty satisfied how it came out! It's for the dragon I'm making. It's pretty big and I was dreading needle felting the body until I saw another artist that was making a large creature too. She was posting progress pictures and then when she got to the body, she wet felted the 'skin' which makes it so much easier! I only made a small patch to try out the technique, so now I'm gonna make a larger patch! We've been getting scattered thunderstorms all day. At least it's not super hot out!
Ouch! Sorry you missed out on the trip. I hope the pain settles back down.
