Greenhouse sounds lovely, even if it's "small" and extra work was required to get parts. Right now, the temp in Monteal (Canada) is tough for plants. The nights are a bit cool, especially for plants that need a bit more warmth like tomatoes. I have one plant I grew from seedling (cocktail tomato) that I'm not sure will make it :S

If all goes well, I'll have over 50 varieties of plants in my competition garden. I put decorations, made and decorated alleys, put rocks around certain plants, etc. We're not allowed mulsh, straw, etc. People have already commented how pretty it is :D

I'm not super competitive... I'll be happy for anyone that wins but it's my last year I can participate since I'm moving and losing the privilage to have it. The new one doesn't do this type of competition.

So... I had 3 gardens to take care of plus indoor plants... Now I've added creating and taking care of a balcony garden (yikes...)

There's this plant nursury (pepiniere) that's decided to stop selling plants. Part of it is horrid construction that will be for several years on their street. The other part is too much cheap competition from grocery stores, etc. The thing is, they have specialty plants and good quality stuff. 40% off... so I caved in. I didn't want to do a balcony garden this year because I'm moving. However, I've been dealing with severe anxiety issues. The balcony garden was the place I would meditate... I need it back in my life.

So... I know the employee that really knows her stuff. I suspect she's autistic as she has some visible traits: does not approach people, avoids looking at them when she talks, etc. However, she really knows her plants :D I avoid eye contact too but in a more subtle way and look at the mouth... Aspies can blend in sometimes, especially women due to "masking". Anyways... I was able to get her council on getting some really good plants. I'll have a beautiful diverse flower garden in large pots that will be able to stay in pots their whole life. I even got a small lilac tree that has deep purple flowers. The rest of the flower colour palette is deep red, dark pink with yellow inside, and blue/violet.

I have 5 large pots waiting for me at the eco center (free) & I have a few large pots already. Yesterday my educator & I went to the grocery store to deal with an emergency situation (food bank changed days without warning & it was closed my scheduled day... so no food for my helper to cook). We also got a bag of dirt. With my knee problem I'm blessed to have had help bringing everything home :)

I'm not sure when I'll plant everything but I'm looking forward to it :D

I have a lot to do today & following weeks but little by little it'll get done. In a way I want everything to be over with, settled in the new place but I also want to be able to stop and find moments to enjoy myself in the present moment rather than just live for the future.

- moving sounds like it will be good :) and I totally understand the need to for the garden (regardless of size). There's a peacefulness that you get from gardening that nothing else can replace or compare to <3
