congrats! another of my friends is having a rough go at it and she's maxed out her stats. Poukie is safely hiding under the bed, she's almost t7 now but that's nowhere close to being up for that battle :P

Awesome rewards for your victory! I have never once battled and had no idea what a well trained pet could earn for a battle victory!

You have visited the bathhouse 182 days in a row! You found 8 Crystals in the pool!

I'll take them! I want that new item in the crystal shop and I still have pies to buy too cry LOL

having the right weapons and scrolls helps a lot, as well as weapon mods. I think I had about 20-30 losses before I got my 5 wins lol. I think luck has a lot to do with him too.

There are some pretty amazing prizes from battles, Barb! You should keep training Lords Prayer. He's got some nice well-rounded stats. And do battle quests every day with him too so you can put the exp towards his stats!

Random Event You've found 5028 sP on the ground! lol!

My other friend managed to beat him 5 times after all. I know it'll take years before I have a chance to beat him; however, it's a good longtime goal ;) I've been doing better with a few good quality scrolls and a few upgrades in equipment. I know I won't have a top tier pet; I'm aiming for a mid-range good to have fun for battles pet. Eventually would be good to have; however, it'll be a while before I can buy one... cuz there's no way even if I get the challenger I can beat it at the level required to get the scroll (Poukie is hiding under the bed and refuses to come out just at the thought of it).

Going back to the subject of painting, my grandmother taught oil painting for years. She encouraged all her kids & grandkids to be creative. I winded up getting a BA (major Fine Arts, minor English, minor Education). The plan was to become a high school art or English teacher... but life chose otherwise. For my graduation, she gave me a pin one of her students had given her on behalf of 3 women that studied under her. It's in the shape of a paint palette with 3 brushes; however, for me it signifies the 3 years for my BA :) She even came with grandpa to see the exhibit I was part of for graduating art students (a few hours of travel). I miss being able to talk to her, but there are reminders & she'll always be in my heart. I'm glad you were able to complete the painting... most likely of your father from the description of the interests they undertook. You can also tell an artist the way the brushstrokes are and other traits. My aunt does watercolours and she has challenges with perspective (especially buildings); however, we know it's her that did them due to those differences ;)

This is all they had painted:

before I started to paint on it
As you can see, all I had to go by was the traced image and a few brush strokes. So I couldn't tell who started it. Yes, my parents had distinct styles, but there's just not enough to go by here to figure it out. I also lean towards my dad doing it. But I guess it doesn't matter really. I think it's really cool that you have a degree in art. I've always been artistic and would've loved to have gone to school for it. Like you said, life had other plans LOL. I'm content to express myself when I'm able to, whether it's painting, sewing, needle felting or whatever else I feel like creating. It's interesting that you got that pin. My mom left behind one that's very similar in description, but it's 2 brushes instead of 3.

I like his name :) You should train him so you can get the fun prizes too!

I'm feeding the pies to my pet, Kwixis, for the gourmand achievement.

I do some training towards getting some stats up for his employment.

Is there a maximum amount of pets we are allowed to have here?

Usually gut instinct is good. As well, take a look at the basic brush strokes for the background, most likely will be similar to your dad's. The way the buildings are drawn, the dimensions are skewed... if you look at other paintings of your father you probably will see this pattern as well. If you take a kleenex box, look at it you'll notice the angles are sharper, horizon lines & perspective lines are missing so your parents were more free handed. The person had a basic outline and the rest was in the head, so a bit of a relaxed personality, not super uptight or anxious. The person had an outline so there is some thinking and planning, not super spontaneous. That's a quick analysis... but even a basic sketch can tell a lot ;) How interesting to have similar broaches :)

Neither one did freehand sketching. I found the book they got the scene from. They usually either photocopy the pic and then transfer to canvas, or they trace it on tracing paper, then transfer. So I can't go by that analysis at all. The brush strokes were too minimum for me to guess either.

not that I'm aware of. I know of some players owning 30+ pets... I know Manda has a bunch lol.

In a way, it's nice to leave a certain uncertainty towards it... that way both parents could have contributed ;)

Congrats! Poukie is still working on becoming Director. Her siblings are earning more than her in other types of jobs lol. She's my main battle pet (others battle too but only she does the quests). The darn lvl is the challenge. I'm patient though, so I'll eventually get her there ;)

Three months of collecting bathhouse every day... and I forgot yesterday... back to day one, lol. I don't think I will ever get the last couple of achievements for that one! Life is just too busy at the moment, and not slowing down anytime soon - we're headed straight for the busiest time of year for me with Ren Fest starting next weekend!! I'm so excited, I miss my second family <3 I love everything about the Faire, but the people are the best <3 This year is going to be busier than previous years since I'm working my booty off in my business doing 5 straight days of Live shows plus working both days on most of the weekends <3 So worth it though!

Working on figuring out how to get Ariana's car from point a to point b, three different car transports have fallen through in the last couple of weeks. Starting to get frustrated, like this is their one job, what they do to pay the bills - so their lack of follow through is crazy! Ultimately we have the Army to thank for it, had they told her from the get to that she could have her car she would have driven it there, instead she was told she couldn't have it and we had arranged to have it shipped to us - only the transport never picked it up! So she's in Ft. Lee, the car is in Destin on Eglin Airforce Base, and we're in Loxahatchee... and I am not flying up to Destin to drive to Ft Lee! Just to get to Destin I would have to fly to North Carolina (or Georgia), then have a 3 hour layover, and finally get to Destin... not a fun trip! I'm waiting to hear back from two companies that were recommended by a couple of snow birds we know - fingers crossed at least one of these companies has their collective shit together!

Off and running, I miss having the time to be on here!! Things will slow down a bit in April, lol, and then pick back up again in May. Lots of traveling this year <3 but I love to fly so it's all good! I can't wait for conference in California this year, plus we have hubby's smaller conferences later this month and again in March - they're mid week so no overlapping with faire <3 So busy busy, but busy is good, as I tell the hubby - busy = job security <3

Have a good one <3

Life is better when you're laughing <3

Have you looked into selling the car instead? The cost to transport (and headache to deal with) might not be worth having it sent over. If she needs a car in the future, she can buy a used one with part of the money she gets from selling it.

Here's the message I get when I go to SubetaLodge

"We will be moving SubetaLodge over to a new host tonight (Saturday, 02/03/18). You may have a short window of time when the site will be inaccessible to you because it takes time for a site change to propagate throughout the internet. The first time you attempt to log in to SubetaLodge after the move, your browser will probably warn you that the site's security certificate has changed -- go ahead and accept the new certificate."
