Had some drama with my cat Pixie my cat the other night. She wouldn't come inside as usual and when I saw her, I knew something wasn't right. She eventually came in at 10pmish and she is hurt. I somehow managed to get her in the cage the next morning with one arm, cuddled her and put her in the cage. My dad came from 45mins away to take her to the vet just 5mins away from me, I couldn't get into the clinic but the vet came out to see me and then took Pixie inside.

Later Dad, the vet and Pixie came out. She has a sore area on her back which is causing her pain and not able to walk very well. The vet checked every where on her body including seeing if any bites or wounds but nothing. I said do xrays if needed but he said no bones broken and no need for xrays. She was given a double dose of pain meds and I have to give it to her for next 5 days...that be fun.

Pixie some how pawed her way up onto my bed last night and lay next to me most of the night. A tiny improvement this morning with her walking, still not interested in food though (second day now), just wants to sit. I got a cuddle though and got her meds into her mouth which I found hard to do, the rest of it I put in some food.

She is still quite wobbly on the feet, wants outside but I don't know if I get her back in. I think she needs to rest inside for awhile. I just want to see her get back to normal and eat and drink, it's so warm here.

I saw your post on FB Jenn. I hope she heals quickly! You are wise to keep her inside until she feels better.

Thanks She is now hiding in her tunnel. Yep will keep her inside, hard in this heat lol Hopefully the Metacam does it's job and Pixie will have less of a sore back.

I just wish I knew what happened, even if she fell or knocked her back, it must of been a hard whack.

Metacam is a good anti-inflammatory. It should make her feel better quickly. Don't you wish they could tell us what happened? LOL

Hope Pixie is feeling better Jenn! It's so hard to see them in pain and not know how to help them.
