Such a busy few days! This was the second and last 3 day weekend for faire, just two day weekends from here on out - I love faire, but three day weekends are exhausting!!

I wish there was a ren faire close to us that's not crazy expensive (cough King Richard's Faire cough). We had one many years ago, but I'm guessing because the turnout wasn't that impressive, they never held it again.

I guess the King Richard's faire is just too big for me (and expensive!!). I've been wanting to check out the Connecticut Ren Faire, but just haven't managed yet. The last one we did was in Vermont and I really loved that one because it was small-ish and they had lots of fun activities. What I really need to do is dust off my garb and finish the cloak I was making for it. I need to find it first. I also want to create a shoulder dragon to walk around with. I have the stuff to make one. I just have a ton of other projects I want to get done too. I've been plugging away at them one at a time. Right now I'm trying to finish my mom's painting of angels and a girl at Heaven's gate. I'll post a pic when I'm happy with it. I don't think I'll paint angels again (or people for that matter lol). That's just really hard!

- yeah, some faire's can be overly expensive and not really worth the entry fee. I have a goal of visiting several different faire's this year <3 It helps that I know patrons and vendors at pretty much all the locations I plan to visit - especially when said vendors can hook me up with a day pass <3 I have the cutest shoulder dragon, his head turns and nods, cutest thing ever! I can't wait to see the painting when you're finished, girl you have such a talent <3

Tomorrow is the start to Vikings weekend... not sure why that's one of our themes this year - or why our closing weekend is Harry Potter themed! We've always had traditional weekend themes but I guess the times are changing and they need to draw in the younger crowd... or something, lol. I'll be sporting my pirate wench garb because it's my favorite and I have nothing even remotely close to Viking!

We finally picked out and bought the tile to finish the guest bath remodel! It's been gutted for months, but we couldn't (mostly I couldn't) find tile that spoke to me. I have this thing for different, not the same same that you see in every house and we finally found it! Our tile guy will be here next weekend to do the install & once it's finished I'll post pics <3 I'm so excited, once the guest bath is finished we get to start in on the master bath! We're only redoing the tub/shower areas in both of them, and maybe the vanity in the guest bath, but it'll completely change the look of both bathrooms <3 Next on the list, having the pool resurfaced - which I already picked out the top tile for, it's sheets of circle tiles, which when grouted will look fabulous - and unlike any other pool we've seen :)

we're a bunch of transplants from Neopets. Most of us were part of a user run game called Premium Survivor. The idea of the game was a mashup of the TV show Survivor and Neopets. You had to be a premium user to join. We had tribes and had to play the Neopet games to get the highest scores. There were also challenges to accomplish. Each week someone would be voted off their tribe. The end was pretty much every person for themselves until a winner was selected. The prize was just bragging rights of winning. One of the players introduced us to Subeta and we ended up making our own chit chat thread. We're pretty much laid back. We do have a ping group but the rule is to limit pings to Token Shop restock alerts and maybe a really good giveaway deal or if the DC is full of amazing goodies from someone quitting. You are most welcome to come hang with us :) We like to talk about anything that's going on in our lives, celebrate our Subeta fortunes and support each other when the chips are down. I used to be on Neopets. I was on all the time back in the day, but as I got older I didn't much agree with TNT. So, one good google search actually sent me here. I believe I also heard good things about it from fellow guild members once upon a time. I feel in love with the site and just kinda stayed here. I am usually on and off due to life and the such though.

I saw too many of my friends getting iced over there for stupid reasons. One was really, really good at a game and they accused her of cheating. Iced. Another friend had her account hacked and they stole her draik. So instead of TNT getting it back for her, they iced the person's account and left the draik frozen in time. Lame. It was getting harder and harder to chat because they would give warnings over normal words. You couldn't even give a recipe that had chicken breast as an ingredient. It was time to find a new home and here we are :) Some of us still play over there. But most of us just hang here.
