Yeah, all the stuff I read about similar problems, if it wasn't the hotspot thing...no one was able to find a fix to it. The only other thing I saw was all about proxys/ssid's (things I know nothing about)

Extreme alternative: If you've had the Windows 10 for under a month, I think you may be able to roll back to 7. But it probably installed itself a while ago :/

If you've gotten a new router recently, you may have to play around with that. Just think what else may have changed immediately before this started. (?)

I'm not there with you, but it BOTHERS ME. It's like a mystery that can't be solved. LOL

heh. you know something that has changed. my phone service. hahahaaaa sprint/shentell bought out ntelos. and my service this last 2 weeks has been SHIT. (and this happen a while ago. i thought i had already lived through the "migration") but the last 2 weeks, my phone has been cutting out. all of a sudden i have no service. no data. nothing. calls are being dropped. all the crappy stuff. when i called 'ntelos' to ask about it, they told me this bullshit about "you are to far away from the tower, you are 3 miles away"

and that is TOTAL Bullshit. for 1 thing, I've been here 4 months and it's Just NOW doing it? then i got a letter in the mail this week, saying that sprint bought out ntelos, and i now needed to migrate my account over to shentel. WTF?

monday i'm going to call the number, and tell them, "and is this the kind of service i'm going to be getting. because if it is, then SCREW YOU" and laugh in their faces. :( then i'll have to call FuckinVerizon. them or att, and i think FVerizon handles this side of Lynchburg. heh.

well, i THOUGHT when i moved, i would be able to get that kind of package. but nope. turns out, i live on the wrong side of the road. seriously. if we had moved across the street (and about a city block down) i Would have been able to get it. i mean, we a lousy 20 minutes from the "big city" heh. foolish me.

i'm with dish for tv. no internet (CAN get it if i go with serperate company and pay 200 up front) so i use my phone (ntelos=sprint=shentel) as a 'hot spot' (i think you do the same thing?)

and i admit, i've been checking around for other phone companies, but i stayed with ntelos, because they gave me one of the very few UNlimited packages. and yes. i know they say unlimited, but after so many gigs they start shutting you off.

when i checked around at some of the smaller "local" companies, they all want to know how many gigs i usually use a month. i told them, when my daughter is here, i can go over 40 gigs a month. grin. they all freak out. lol

I have a bundle deal. My modem is from the phone/tv company (Cablevision/Optimum), so when internet goes out, I call them and they can fix it.

And I have a router that's connected to my modem. That's how I get wifi internet on my phone. So I can be lazy and check emails on my phone in bed..ha.

As far as my laptop goes...I only go online with it directly through the modem. It's always at my desk plugged in, and I never needed the wifi because I don't bring it into different rooms. I forget that other people do that LOL

You, me, and would totally sit around and do that. You have no idea what the "stuff" is like here in Maine ;)
