Haha, okay. I will wave from time to time. ;) Yes, education is very important. And my master of education is nearly finished! I will finish it this year (when everything works out).

You may not get selected, if it like here. They pre-screen jurors and if you dont meet the characters their looking for on a particular court case, they are seeking jurors for. I think the only thing you would meet is being a college student, and most generally lawyers are looking for peers/people that are similar to the defendant in the case. So I think you wont be bothered after the initial screening process. Which might take 2-3 hours, they will be screening a large group. All 3 of my sons have been through the same, they have studied long hours. I know you will be glad to finish, and I hope you can take a vacation as a treat for finishing.

We don't have mandatory jury duty here in Glen Meadow. The magistrates appointed by the Queen hear all cases.

I think a vacation is (financially) not possible. In May next year I will start my internship (1,5 years). It's compulsory when I want to become a real teacher in Germany. First 5 years University (3 years Bachelor, 2 years Master) and then 1,5 years internship working in a school + having a seminar accompanying.

You wont fit what their looking for. Maybe just go see your family for a couple of days would be nice. Wow you have been working hard!

I don't know. I feel like I am too late. Too old. :D I made my "Abitur" (diploma from German secondary school qualifying for university admission or matriculation) in 2010. Then I first did a gap year usually taken to do voluntary work in the social sector (I worked in a school for mentally handicapped children). Then I started to study in the Netherlands. But I didn't like it there, so I came back and started to study here in Cologne. Not far away from my family. I will be 26 years old on April 1st. I want to have a house and kids some time... But first, I want to finish my education. I think, I will be 30 then... :( I also have PCOS which makes planning a family not easy. I hope, everything will be alright. I'm having a lot of worries when it comes to the future.

My oldest son is 31 years old, and he has no kids. He got married two years ago in July. He wants to be financially set and his career established, and the same for my daughter in law. My two younger sons - one is 28 and the youngest is 27 in June. I have no grand kids yet. I made sure they knew I expected them to get their education and careers started first. So no worries my dear, your young and have plenty of time. Dont worry so much, things will work out for you. My middle son worries a lot too. I tell him, go have fun and act your age. His as we say, an old soul (mature beyond his years).

hey ya'll whats up how is every one doing today

My both older sisters (31 & 35) already have kids, both became a mother with 23/24 years. But they both had a husband who was financially set. My boyfriend (for nearly 5 years now) is still a student like me. He will also finish this year and we will both become a teacher and start our internship next year together.

I enjoy my freedom and that I am not responsible for a little person. I like to be young and free & acting spontaneous. But also do love to spend time with my wonderful little nieces (2 / 4,5 / 8 / 10,5 years). They are beautiful little personalities. I saw them today when I went to visit my mother. They are adorable and I love how they see the world and just tell their opinion right away. But I also like that I can give them back and have my silence when I want to :D

Both of you will be making a difference in the world, and nice that you are both studying in the same field. Nice to have someone who understands the demand of your field of study. Nice that you can enjoy being around your nieces and nephews, and still be able to enjoy the peace and quiet. Kids are very honest and innocent in their view of the world, its refreshing. Well hey there is no crime in that, I have my moment where I just want peace and quiet. so no worries, they read a brief description of each potential juror and probably already have an idea of who they will select. You should be fine.
