Yeah, we have always been a bit chatty over the years. I used to hang out in the forum quite a bit the past few years, but I havent had much time lately to sit around and talk to everyone. I mostly just jump on when I have time and do my dailies and leave. I am trying to at least stop in once in a while and say hi. I will be busy again real soon.

That's a good way to teach safe driving practices! I really like that method it teaches responsibility! So many young people simply don't possess those life skills anymore! It's always a pleasure to hear stories of parenting, and teaching kids important life skills.

Back when I was going to school I could probably consume roughly 2 16 coffee drinks a day without any issues. I could even drink lattes or mochas with dairy in them, now it's coconut milk for me! I tend to avoid overly sweet coffee drinks, and focus more on drinks that bring out the true flavor of the coffee. My local coffee place is amazing for that, they roast their own beans and have syrups that don't diminish the flavor of the coffee itself!

For me I either have to drink it hot and black or I have to not be able to taste the coffee at all. My time in Guatemala sort of spoiled me on coffee, though, to be honest. Now I can only fix coffee for people in the US if I use a Keurig because just about everyone says I make it too strong while I feel like just about everyone else makes it too weak or bitter or burnt.

Edit: Forum gift box!

That sounds amazing actually, spending tine in Guatemala & getting coffee that was so close to the source! I hate the taste of butter it burnt coffee! Thankfully, my local coffee place roasts their coffee to be well-balanced and flavorful. A lot of their roasts are on the lighter side, but very robust! They're what most people would term, third wave coffee due to the focus on flavor and preparation.

It was definitely one of the most amazing periods in my life. I was there to study language and culture and the culture is really what stuck with me the most. Fun fact: the darker the roast, the stronger the flavor but the lighter the roast, the higher the caffeine content.

Brrrr! I can't wait for the warm weather to move in again. Letting the dogs out right now is a pure misery.

I love the cold weather when it snows, since snow is such a rarity where I live. But I certainly didn't enjoy biking in the freezing rain this morning! But at least I got a day off work out of it.

That really does sound amazing! Someday I hope to do some sort of traveling abroad, but for now I simply don't have the money for it all. I've also read that a lot of the flavor in coffee can depend on the region, as well as the roasting process. That's why I favor this particular coffee place, most of their coffees are single origin, selected from and roasted in small batches.☕️

Hi I had to go get stuff in RL. Its cold and windy today. RL has priority, but hopefully you can check in once in awhile. Once she starts on the computer, she will discover how to do other hings on he internet. Explain the search engine to her by asking her what you wants to know about. Also how to define the serach so she doesnt get junk and get frustrated. show her youtube, she will never get off or the pinerest and show her craft sites if she likes crocheting for example. I was hands on with my sons, especially homework. I was education, education and help others. To many parents are letting kids raise themselves, and no consequences for bad behavior. Buy them things to bribe them to behave, instead of consequences. I was tough on my sons, and now they tell me, Thank You Mom! I have days I jump do dailies and leave, too. But subeta and the lair always pulls me back. Bu thankfully those days are rare.

I only got to do the study abroad because it was ultimately cheaper than the two extra semesters I would have had to take at uni to get those credits. It's the only time I can look back and say I was just as happy that my scheduling got screwed up. If your coffee place gets a Guatemalan coffee and you haven't tried it already you should. I'm partial to anything from around Lake Atitlán but a lot of it will be from La Antigua, which is actually where I lived.

Baby steps. First things first, I have to show her how to use Skype. Then I'll move on to searches and possibly things like Pinterest. It might actually help her to find some things to help her stay busy. Her arthritis is getting worse so crochet is getting more difficult but I keep telling her she needs to take up chunky knitting or something like that where everything's easier to hold onto.

For sure, baby steps.Once she gets the hang of there wont be any holding her back. I have arthritis in my hands and crochet to keep them moving. You stop using your hands and it gets worse. But chunky yarns and big hooks is a good idea.

She loves to crochet and knit but she doesn't ever seem to do it anymore because she gets so frustrated trying to do it with the arthritis and she's too stubborn to see a doctor about the pain. Go figure, I'm 54 years younger than she is and I see a rheumatologist but she doesn't. She goes to appointments with me sometimes and sits in the waiting room and people always think her appointment was missed or something and she's just like "Oh don't worry. I'm waiting for my grandson to get through with the doctor."

I need more forum points to, there are so many nice things in the forum shop. Thats sad, she is willing to give up doing something she loves. I dont care how much my hands hurt, I wont stop crocheting. I crocheted a blanket for my son and his wife, that was 6 feet by 6 feet. It was heavy, and keeps you warm. Maybe tell her things the dr told you to do. To bad, she wont go in with you to talk with dr. Maybe if she heard the dr talking about your issues, she would relax and maybe decide to seek help herself. well I am glad your seeking help!

I agree. I hate to waste sP on things that I can get in other ways. I have threw an entire armory of snowballs and still can't see my beautiful masterpiece. UGH!!! I made a post in the BUGS forum about this. I hope they fix it soon. I also hope that the snowball count is still active in the achievements if we can't see them. This is a bit disappointing. Hello my friend DJ <3 I see you have joined the war. LOL. Game on!!
