I hate waking up earlier than I have/want to. It's kind of my norm atm. The nights I get more than 4 hours of consecutive sleep are what I look forward to because they are rare for me.

Mama Mia at the outdoor theater live was fantastic fun and I even forgot how bad I felt. Dmy had fun, too. Today I went bowling for the first time in years. Got one strike in the second to the last frame, but mostly gutter. Dad decided that if he wears his brave he should be fine for league bowling.

Drive home on Monday was stressful but fine. Missed all the rain thankfully. There is a special election here and had to go to early voting yesterday so I'd not have to do it Tuesday. I'll be happy when the political commercials go away except it will continue through November. They are becoming particularly more horrible and on one side so full of lies. Newspaper called them out but I know so many will just believe them anyway. I wish lying in an political ad was against the law. None of this 'misleading' bs. Call a lie a lie. ugh. Sorry. will stop now.

Wow, that's an awesome show if it made you forget about your pain! Wish you could see it often! Glad you and dmy had a good time. So excited about your Dad bowling! He's had a long battle and it's wonderful to read that he is doing so much better!

I've been lurking and reading the forums, just not really chatting in here. Been relaxing and enjoying summer break ^_^ I go back to work tomorrow, but that is ok because I want paychecks again, lol. Been writing a lot, and my sister and I are slowly working out more details for the novel/s we want to do with the world and character we've created. It's taking a lot of time because I've been practicing my writing with shorter stories, and then I get in the habit of writing short stories, that longer ones look intimidating at first x) Getting there, though!

Pups and birds are good! Human family is good, as well! No complaints there other than the usual annoyances, lol.

Been ok but the fleas are miserable for my cats and are bringing them down. And some have other issues too that are certainly not helping. I'm completely broke so can't do anything. Even tho I get paid tomorrow it will all be gone for bills. I wish all parasites the death penalty without prejudice. Kill them all!

On a lighter note, a slightly cool front has hit and the temps are in the 90's and not 100's for now, so I'm grateful for that.

Poor kitties :( I'm sorry the fleas are causing problems. I know it can be difficult to afford, I don't buy the flea stuff for my pups anymore because I can't afford to with what I have to spend on Radar's medication, but when you find that you can again, Drs. Foster and Smith has some very affordable options in their own brand. Right now I only get it when my pups will be traveling with us (fleas are not very active where we live, thank God), and they have yet to get any fleas or ticks. They also have sales quite often, so that helps even more! Gotta get that stuff for as cheap as possible! I'm with you, though...down with the parasites!

Yay for a cool front, though! We're still in monsoon season, so storms and power outages are fairly normal...and hot temps. Not too happy about any of that, but nothing I can do xD

Thank you! I bookmarked their website. Maybe I can get some soon. They are a lot less, esp now with a sale going on. Have treated twice with Advantage, which I really like but is expensive. It worked for the month it said it would, which others also claim but only work 2 - 3 weeks. This year is just horrible with fleas. The winter was far too mild and didn't kill any bugs. Now they are a plague. Ugh.

Fosters and Smith has the same formula as Frontline, I think. I never tried Advantage, but I have done K9 Advantix...expensive, but man does that stuff work! Ever since Radar got Valley Fever his skin is like...super sensitive, and I've been having trouble finding stuff that doesn't make his back all twitchy. Fosters didn't, so I know it's a gentle formula ^_^

If the winter temps don't kill the bugs, then what good is it!? :( Beyond no extreme heat, anyway x)

Hi everyone! I am home from Prague. It was beautiful but very hot!!! Busy unpacking, washing, etc. Meddy just got home, she is in a mood (why did you leave me)... she will be fine in 30 minutes. My parents spoiled her to death.

I would love to go to Prague. Yay for spoiled kitties! Always a good thing. lol

First full week back at school/work starts today! Students don't come back until Wednesday, so that is good x) Gives us all some time to get back into the routine of getting up early and all that. My department's main office was moved up into the main school office, so we're not in the middle of classrooms anymore. We'll see how that goes. We lost some nice conference rooms for meetings :( Oh well, it had to be done, so we'll have to take new challenges as they come!

yeah daughter back to work today too but the grand kids don't start until Thursday. Hope your year goes well.
