My pets don't get to eat any of it :P I just toss it all in my food gallery. I am so mean lol! Talon gets to read all the books and the stickers go in my collection.

The issue for your PS4 is that your TV is too new/high end for it to play. Most TVs have a HDMI port/entry hole. Most computers have HDMI, so all you would need is a hdmi cable to connect the two.

I think I'm going to have to put socks on, my feet are chilled... it's bleeping cold & the heat can't provide enough so I'm in my warm bathrobe with a warm pj. Luckily the fish have a heater for the aquarium & Gismo is snoring in a warm blanket on top of a heating pad.

Argh. Stupid free shop was empty for over 20 minutes straight before it closed. Darn.

Yep, more than 24 min :S I'm trying to do item drive but dag nab it I don't think I'll be able to win one of the top 3 to get a prize, the soaps are now unbuyable :(

I think I did better in the free shop this year than in previous years, less multiples of cheap junk items. Just annoying that it was empty for so long before it closed. Hope everybody else got some good stuff. :D

I have that already! I actually used it with the box for a short while early in December, I think. But it wasn't for very long. I might bring it back later in the winter, once I get tired of the current HA. ;)

Thanks! It's pretty nice for a living room sort of backdrop, at least a fancy one. That's one area I feel we're still sort of lacking in terms of backdrops, not very many interior/regular home sort of ones. Although there have been some added recently (last year or so) that I'm happy about. :)

It is the kind of living room I wish I could have in rl. Unfortunately, I live in an apartment that has one baby blue wall in the living room :( my bedroom is painted bleh brown.

If you can, why not paint the walls to colours you enjoy?

A lot of landlords wont let you paint and mine is one of them :(

Normally the landlords have to paint it white & then they can ask not to paint... but there is flexibility in the sense that if you paint over the white you have to return it to white before moving. I don't bother painting due to the effort it requires; however, my aparts have been white. The only time I hated a room was my room at my parents. It was pastel green, made me feel ill. It had been painted that way when my parents had bought the place. I begged to paint... wasn't allowed until 14 years later (that's a long time to hate the wall and carpet colour)... sunset orange with the trims/boarders brown. Energizing in the morning & relaxing in the evening, ahhh.

It's not spring yet (far from it with the extream cold we're having in Montreal) but I couldn't resist the new HA, happy happy

I thought it was so weird to paint a bedroom such a lousy color and do such an awful job of it! There are spots of white where he just covered up bad spots and did not bother to repaint.

You could paint the apart white. Oftentimes the landlord will pay or provide the paint. Since brown is a dark colour, you would need a primer before the paint or get some paint with primer... otherwise the brown will show through. By repainting in white you'd be adding value to the apart, provide the free labour as well... he shouldn't have anything to complain about. The laws are different, but oftentimes the paint thing is similar... just check with your landlord. In Quebec, there are a lot of laws to help tenants... but it's a royal pain and time consuming to get enforced. I had severe battles with my landlord because he just wanted to collect rent without repairing stuff in worn down buildings. I fought him with the city building inspectors, the government rental board, lawyers, etc. He was devious, he tried to intimidate, and he attempted to manipulate the laws by trying to find loopholes. 3 years of bailiff visits, problems occurring in the apart (any and everything happened in that building, including a neighbour almost being killed and police using tear gas), multiple water problems, neighbour smoking weed making me have asthma attacks so severe I would have to go to the hospital by ambulance several times (worst was out of 8 days 6 I was brought to different hospitals), and so much more.

Eventually, with lawyers, we accepted that I would move out & he would pay for the move & suffering I've gone through. No matter the amount, it still wouldn't justify what I went through but at least he got the message he wasn't going to get away with treating me that way. Unfortunately, most don't stand up to him... so he treats others much worse than what I went through. I'm in a better place now. It's not ideal but much better. The lousy thing is the services I need don't exist in the area so I'm stuck travelling 1.5 hrs to get what I need & that's just one way... around 2.5-3hrs back/forth. Hopefully, the new year will bring tranquillity and an ability to use my time for positive creative projects instead of dealing with so much stress.

He is a cheapskate. He doesn't buy anything he doesn't absolutely have to, and then he only gets stuff that he can buy dirt cheap. Even better if it is used crap he buys from the paper. He wont buy paint and I can't afford it. I have more important things to spend my money on. I don't like the colors, but it is really no big deal :) Your guy sounds like a slumlord. Can't believe he is still allowed to rent to people. Should be shut down.
